Chapter 37 - Attempted Murder

After dinner, I went straight to my room.

'Okay, now! I am so tired.'

*Looking at the hourglass kept on Rina's study table*

'It's been such a long time since I met Ritu and others. I wonder how time flies away! Huhhh!'

The next day,

'Hoooahhhhhh!' It's morning again!'

I wore my training suit.

'TringTring! Tring Tring!'

'Rina! See who is at the door!'

'Yes, maa!'

I went down to open the door.

I opened the door and saw a man wearing a black hoodie and black trousers with a mask over his face covering his face. He gave me a bouquet, which he was holding in his right arm.

'Someone from two flats after sent it to you.'

'Is that person's name Bhaskar?'

'Yes!'

I took it without hesitation. And—

He stabbed me right in my stomach.

'Arggggh!' Blood comes out of my mouth, but—

(In my mind) 'Damn! It hurts!' Wait! The door is still open! My parents will be in danger!'

Slowly, my vision started to get blurry, and the person faded away from my sight. No, due to my vision, it seems like he got away. Blood was flowing out of my abdomen area or my stomach non-stop.

'Monaaaa! No! No! DON'T DIE! DON'T SLEEP! DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES!' panicked mother.

'What happened? What happened, honey?' Monaaa! What happened to her?'

'Please! Call an ambulance! I will explain everything that happened to you later! But please do something! Aaaahaaa! My daughter!' side mother.

Bhaskar came in front of our house to go to college with me. Listening to my parents' panicking cries, he came into our house to see what happened.

'Wha-What ha-happened to her?'

'Someone stabbed her! ARGHHH! aahhaa!' screamed mother.

An ambulance came, and I was taken to the hospital.

'Doctor! Doctor! Please do something! Please save him.'

'Yes, madam. You calm down; we will try our best to save your daughter. However, it looks like she lost much blood and is still losing. We need a blood supply. According to the test report, her blood group is B+. Please, arrange the blood supply as soon as possible.'

'I am going to give my blood,' said Bhaskar.

'What is your blood type?' asked the doctor.

'O+'.

'I see. Come with me. We have to do some tests.'

'Thank you, Bhaskar. Thank you very much,' said my father to Bhaskar.

I was operated on for a long time due to the deep injury through my stomach. Bhaskar transfused blood to my body; thus, I will always be indebted to him.

That day was really a hectic day.

I woke up after two days. Police came to me to ask some questions about the incident. But I still couldn't give them the answer they expected from me, as the one who stabbed me covered his face with a mask.
