Lyssara's hands cupped Diana's face in a gentle manner as she offered her a treat. Her eyes would dart from time to time to Dagna who was under operation, the air tense as time ticked by. "Looks like I've been late to talking you out for a walk, huh?" Lyssara joked as she reached for a nearby leash.
Diana didn't bother protesting as Lyssara leashed her, Clomere focused on Dagna. "She'll be done when the two of you get back. And let her stretch her legs this time." Lyssara gave a nod as she left Clomere's room only to be met with an empty hallway.
Taking of Diana's leash, she gave her the command to use her legs. "Thanks again Lyssara." Diana mused as she rubbed her neck, sore from the collar that Clomere had put on her. "Of course, after all you're the only one I feel like I can talk to here." Lyssara smiled as the two made their way to the courtyard.
Not far was Magdalene and Crimson who seemed engaged with golf, Jarren sat on the sides shielded from the sun's rays before his focus went to the two. "You're here, I was wondering who would help me keep the tally for these two prodigies." In his hand a small board that marked the progress of the two ladies.
With a glance Lyssara could tell that Crimson was far ahead as most of her strikes consisted of hole in ones, Magdalene was more of pars or more. "You never answered my question about Dagna back then, why is she here?" Diana made her way to the shade and took the board out of Jarren's hands watching the two ladies.
"Well it was as I had told you, I knew that you were getting a bit lonely so I had her sent here. With Seryn busy and Diana tethered by Clomere, I'm sure that you would like someone to be there with you full time." His smile didn't faze her, the air between the two turning cold.
"And for you to make her another husk like Seryn. Or maybe a puppet only to watch me break down once more." Jarren a few steps away from her reached his hand out and ruffled her hair eliciting a grunt from her. "If I were to do so then I'm sure you'd be ready, maybe I might with how uptight you've been with me."
Swatting his hand away, Lyssara stared daggers at the horror that shone his serpentine smile at her. "So you will do the same to her as you have with Seryn." Jarren reached for her cheek and pinched it hard. "You sad little demon, I'm tired of you being so close with your cards. Just relax."
Crimson interjected with a chuckle from the side. "He won't actually make her hollow, he's just toying with you. You know how he is with his taunts." Lyssara glanced from the horror of blood and flesh back to the abyss. 'He would do something like that just to make me fuss over nothing.' Gritting her teeth, she cursed at how little his perception of her was.
"Well you don't have always to be a toy to me Lyssara as I've constantly told you. You still have that promise, right?" She now saw the promise as another game he was staging in the shadows. "I'd rather forget about it knowing Callista." Diana broke the silence as she stated the results, Magdalene showed a helpless smile as she shook hands with Crimson.
"That was a good match Crimson." The air light. "You did well Magdalene, with a bit more practice I'm sure that you should be able to rival me and surpass me if you put in the effort." Crimson shot back, her tone easygoing. Lyssara's eyes narrowed at the pair as they made their way to the shade.
"There's no need to be jealous of them Lyssara, after all your promise could close the gap between you and them." Jarren's words echoed in her ears as her fists tightened. Diana rose to her feet as she fetched the pair glasses of beverages to cool off. "Jarren..." Lyssara muttered beneath her breathe as she narrowed her gaze on Jarren.
"I'm sure that Clomere should be done. And should I ever break my promise with you, I'll compromise it all for your sake." He dared to state, gaining gazes of intrigue from the two ladies. "Oh my, what a wager dear." Crimson chuckled as she took a bird's sip of her lemonade. "It's rather fitting, do you not think so?" Jarren posed as he made his way back to the two.
"What if I want you to die, undo all the terror that you have done." Lyssara shot up, Jarren halfway paused as he looked over his back. "Then I would do it, after all it was a promise and I'm a being of my word." His lack of resistance made her skin crawl. 'Would you really do it or do you lie through your teeth Jarren?' Her thought met with his smile, persistent as if confirming her worry.
"Off you go, you to as well Diana." Jarren lazily stated as he crashed onto the lounge chair. Diana didn't hesitate, Lyssara's daze lingered on his frame before taking her leave.
...
"Do you actually think he would see through it or he's lying?" Lyssara asked Diana who by now had relaxed. "Given that it's Jarren, I wouldn't take his word for it however who knows, he is a man of bizarre styles." Lyssara furrowed her brows, contemplating on whether Jarren would see through his own words.
"Looks like I'll have to see it when it happens." With a mumble, she opened the door to Clomere's door. This time the air was different, it was light unlike the silence before and the body on the table was now upright. Dagna seemed entranced with her own body, perplexed with the transformation she had gone through.
"If you were wondering whether it's reversible, it's not so enjoy it." Clomere mused indignantly as she took off her coat and haphazardly threw it on her bed. "Be a dear Diana and take care of it." And with that she took her leave. Lyssara didn't worry with her words as her focus lay on Dagna.
'She seems way different from before. The air around her has no doubt shifted into something more...lifeless.' Her mind already worrying that she would be another corpse akin to Seryn. "Lyssara, can you actually believe it! Just look at this new body!" Dagna's lively attitude caught her by surprise as it brought a smile to her lips.
"Are you okay? Do you feel any different from before?" Lyssara quizzed as she closed the distance between her and Dagna. "It's way different, I feel far more fluid and precise with my movements. I can hear far better and feel everything in this palace except those monsters. Not to mention I can link myself to any piece of technology in Redfall as well."
Dagna's words brought a furrow to Lyssara. "Any piece of technology? Wouldn't that mean that you could take this kingdom down if you wanted?" Dagna hopped off the table, still assessing her new body. "Well I could but I can feel the restrictions all over the systems Clomere's placed in my body." She shot her arm out and a small ball of liquid dripped from her palm.
Dagna assessed it as it began to shift forms before forming a sword. It's color blue and white as it radiated extreme heat. Lyssara remained unbothered however Diana covered her face. "Ugh! What is that?!" She shouted. "It's plasma, something that I can use to my liking." Noticing Diana's discomfort, she withdrew it back into her body.
*Whoosh*
A small turret formed on her back as it locked with Lyssara's body, aiming at her head.
*Whoosh*
Lyssara brandished her estoc, ready for a confrontation as her body sensed the danger. "Calm down, I was just testing it out is all." Dagna chucked as the turret went back into her body. Lyssara let out a sigh of relief as her estoc vanished back into her inventory. "As much as I would like to see what other feats you are capable off, can you please take this outside?"
Diana stated as she took Clomere's coat and put it to the side. "Of course, have a nice nap." Lyssara said as she left Dagna out of the room. Her eyes probed every inch of Dagna's new body. 'I can't sense any form of heat off her. As if I'm walking with a corpse.' Her eyes narrowed as Dagna kept on checking her new body out.
"I want to test just what I can do with this new body." Dagna spoke, her eagerness palpable. 'Well at the very least her personality is still there.' Aware that it could have been far worse.
...
"It would have been better for you to go for nanotechnology Clomere." Crimson sighed as she saw Dagna make her appearance with Lyssara. "It would have been to easy for her. Besides it's in her clothes should she face any form of damage. So she won't be completely useless." Clomere's jade eyes locking with Dagna's figure which sent a shiver down the latter's spine.
Jarren narrowed his eyes on Dagna before drifting back to Clomere. "Her small figure would be perfect for stealth however the fire in her eyes suggest otherwise. So you do have a heart to read other people."Clomere ignored his jab as she took a sip of her drink.
"What?! I'm not a complete monster devoid of emotions. After all how would I love you if so." Magdalene assessed Dagna's new body. Her skin the same as her old one however she knew that she was now fibre and metal beneath her facade of flesh. "I didn't think that Clomere would be this talented."
Her praise earning her a chuckle from Clomere. "At the very least someone appreciates my work." The rest ignored her as they went back to their muse. Jarren gave a breakdown of golf to Magdalene while Crimson and Clomere watched them. "Now Dagna, do you feel anything odd. After all I can't be too sure with Clomere."
Crimson asked with the goal of taunting Clomere and the sour face she got seemed to have worked. "I feel fine Crimson, thanks for asking." Clomere spoke sharply, clearly done with the jabs. "How about you show them what you are capable of. We're all watching." Magdalene and Jarren shared giggles as she made her hole in one, severed from the conservation behind them.
"Of course Clomere." Dagna's words growing stiff as she stretched her robotic limbs. Small thrusters shot out of her legs allowing her to hover above the ground which came off as disorienting at first to her before she got the hang of it.
*Boom*
In a blink she shot to the sky leaving a sound explosion behind. Her figure growing smaller till she was nothing more than a speck to the audience below. 'I...I didn't think that I would be capable of this.' Dagna wondered as she stared at the world below, her altitude high enough to be masked by the clouds that coasted by.
'Let's see what other functions this body has.' A smile forming on her face as her body darted all over the sky at super sonic speed. For those below, she covered the sky in blue and white, attacks of plasma coating the sky before breaking into a blinding explosion equivalent to a miniature sun coating a brilliant light all over.
By the time she made her way back to the palace, her mind was beyond thrilled to test her new body in combat. "Not bad." Crimson stated as she looked at Clomere. "Maybe you're not that bad when it comes to tinkering with technology." Clomere aware of her taunts now didn't bother taking the bait.
"Next time don't hold back when in actual combat. I'll have the restrictions taken off when the time is right." Lyssara however chimed in. "Wait, what exactly is powering her to be doing such feats?" Clomere raised her brows as if annoyed with her question. "My will of course, and anti matter in a process I won't bother explaining."
Lyssara's face darkened. "Does that mean that she lives based on your whim?" A laugh was her response. "Of course, but so do you dear so don't worry yourself over something so grand. I won't be taking her away from you thanks to Jarren."
