The gorgeous girlfriend blinked, surprised by his words. Was he joking? He had to be. There was no way he could be serious.
At the center of the table, the seasoned game master began to shuffle the cards. His hands moved with practiced ease, a blur of motion honed by years of experience.
Unless someone had incredibly powerful kinetic vision…Or was a certified game expert…Or maybe just outrageously lucky…—there was no way to predict the outcome perfectly.
Although she knew some of those persons who possess these things, but...
And Yang Tie?He didn't look like any of those things.
"Now i a, going to reveal the cards."
With a steady hand, the game master began turning over the down-faced cards one by one.
Flip.
Flip.
Flip.
The higher the number of cards you can predict, the greater the returns. And if there are right and wrong predictions, they are balanced accordingly.
As the cards were revealed one by one, each person at the front of the table started to frown a little. Because they all lost the bet.
His girlfriend's face was slightly startled but soon returned to normal. She thought -> it must be a fluke.
"Shall we begin the next round? What should be the level?" The game master asked politely.
"Level 1!" 'Yang Tie' spoke. he wanted to pitch in now.
"Sure" Game master politely spoke. All present at the front nodded for the same. Since they lost the first game, they didn't want to take a risk.
The Game master began to shuffle again.
After the Game Master placed the cards on the table, everyone started to think carefully before placing a bet.
'Yang Tie' carefully saw through the cards with his electric eyes. he was able to see through the cards clearly. and decided to bet on a single card to avoid suspicion.
"I bet 100$ on this ###" He placed his 100$ worth of chips on the board.
" I bet 1000$" His beautiful girlfriend placed her bet on the same card 'Yang Tie' had bet.
"Are you sure?" he asked quietly.
He wasn't asking because he doubted the card.He knew the card was right. He'd already seen it. Like reading words off a printed page.
But her?
She didn't know that.
She was betting based purely on him.
And that—that—was unpredictable.
She smiled at him, lightly brushing her hair behind her ear. "Of course I'm sure. If you believe in it, I believe in it."
Yang Tie's expression didn't change. But something behind his eyes shifted. Just slightly.
Many who were present nearby were fawning with jealousy, gritting their teeth, seeing their closeness.
After others placed their bet, the Game Master signaled that the betting time was over and Game master revealed the cards.
Almost Everyone lost except 'Yang Tie' and his girlfriend.
Since he only bet on a card, he got 100 $ returns on his bet and his girlfriend got respectively 5000$ on the same.
"Hehe"! His girlfriend lightly smirked.
They continued for a few more rounds. 'Yang Tie' now has approximately 20000$ worth of chips, and his girlfriend now has 100000$ worth of chips.
Few of the others lost or few others won in few games and lost in few games.
Thinking that he had earned sufficient for now, he wanted to leave now in order not to avoid much suspicion, but...
"can I/we join in as well?"
To be continued...
