Chapter 13 - 013| Day Two

I stepped on the vine, almost getting caught, but punched my opponent in the chest. They gasped in pain, dropping the token. I reached for it, but they kicked my leg. I stumbled trying to jump for the token. We fought, but I overpowered them without a quirk, of course. I need to move up the rankings quickly. I grabbed the token, hearing people running this way. I peeked to see people down the hall. There was know time to waste. I quickly ran out of the room, making my way towards the next floor, and ran for my life.

Day 2: Maze Of Uncertainty.

The thing about the maze is that it has three mazes in one. We start from the right side, but need to end on the left. Three buttons to turn the map and open doors, but the maze turns itself to a 25 25-degree angle every 15 minutes. Once get to the middle, it's going to be difficult to get out.

"Welcome back with Present Mic, it's time to introduce our next game."

"The Maze of Uncertainty!"

The crowd was loud and excited. There was know need to use my quirk for this either, unless of course, the top fifty were looking for a fight.

The door to the maze was opening. As soon as the door opened, I slipped in, running through the maze, marking every corner I took, and I marked it with a rock I found. I found a couple of buttons; some were duds, some open doors, but I wasn't about to get caught in tricks.

15 minutes had passed, and the layers of the maze rotated.

I didn't see the second level open, so I was about to press the button, but then I saw it on the second layer. Someone must have found the button. I dashed to the opening, jumping into a third year. I remember their rank; they were 42. So they had experience with many B and A-class missions.

"Well, isn't All Might a little pet?" They chuckled, they looked unguarded, but I knew it was all an act.

"I don't want to hear that from you. Weren't you caught in a couple of scandals, if I'm not mistaken—" They threw a punch.

I dodge, charging the trajectory towards the wall beside me. They grunted.

"If you want to fight, I will oblige." I smiled with determination.

We fought but made sure to stay in the center opening with a clear view of the next gate, should we connect. It was a few people fighting, interrupting us. I click my tongue, but I need to defeat rank 42 if I want to move up the ranks. This is the perfect opportunity.

I got punched in the face by one of the randoms. The randoms didn't exceed the 200th ranks. They nodded towards each other, so I expected them to target me and 42, but I was wrong. 42 joined them.

"Big mistake!" I yelled, getting ready for an ultimate 6-on-1.

They were only giving me more brownie points. There wasn't much of a field, so I should have changed the terrain. I waited for them to try and jump me. I kicked my be of their fist away, making a slight domino effect. I run to the hallway, two students hot on my trail. I kicked and punched, trying to keep it clean, but they used the dust and rocks to distract me. They kept bumping into each trying to get at me, causing discord in themselves. I knocked one out, making sure he was out of harm's way, which should give me more heroic points.

Then, it started the shift of the maze. I didn't see an opening behind me, so I kicked one down, sending a punch towards 42. I kicked my leg, and it hurt. I glared a the noob giving cheap shots while fighting 42. I ran and tackled 42, getting up quickly, nearly knocking out two more.

"Just give up," 42 smirked, hitting me in my back.

I took the hit; this should get the netizens' heartstrings. All 5 of them hound me. I clicked tongue, dropping down low to the ground, knocking them down. I made one knocked the other out.

Three tried—42 knocked out the rest of them. It looked like it hurt.

"Why did you do that?!" I yelled, checking if they were okay.

They were breathing, that's good. I grabbed a rock and started running through the maze. I looked for traps or obstacles. Trap doors, perfect. I smile, running towards 42.

"Why are you chickening out now?" They mocked.

"I'd never backed down," I said, smirking.

We fought, avoiding the trap door triggers, making it to the other side of the hallway.

"You think you're so smart." He pushed me back.

I looked surprised, stepping on the trigger.

"N-no." I panicked.

The room's floor disappeared. They smirked at me, waving.

"Bye-bye, teach you not to underestimate the top 50." They mocked.

This is just as I planned; I used my quirk to jump from and to the walls towards 42. I was so quick that they couldn't block my foot. I knocked him down!

I won.
