He stared at me for a moment before laughing in disbelief.
I leaned on his shoulder, sighing in comfort. Breathing in his scent releases all the tension I once had. I was happy, not much talking, just relishing the moment. I think I could get used to this.

I was getting out of school, I was doing well in my training, so All might gave me my weekend so well rested for the upcoming ranking tournament. I wanted to text my alpha, but he's probably busy still.
"Deku!"
I look back seeing Mina, Momo, and Uraraka running my way.
"What's up?"
"I heard you and Uraraka went on a date not too long ago!" Mina practically yelled.
"It's not like that!" Uraraka yelled out.
Momo hushed her, waiting for my response.
"Um, well—" they were putting me in an uncomfortable spot, and everyone was looking at us.
The context is that we did go hang out. She said her friends didn't make so we were playing in the game room and ate food at the convenience store.
"Are you guys dating now?" She excitedly asked, swinging my arm.
"No," I said that too coldly than I mentioned it.
They paused abruptly, looking a Uraraka. They tried to discuss something with Uraraka. I heard on the lines of "I thought u told him," or "what's going on?"
Uraraka tried to defend herself, but Momo hushed and pushed her towards me.
"I think I should goooo," I tried to leave, making the least drama possible.
"Stay there, Uraraka has something she would like to ask," Mina said sternly.
Seems like I'm not getting out of this one.
She stumbled over her words before regaining her composure.
"I like you!" She yelled, face red from embarrassment.
"Well, that's surprising..." I rubbed the back of my neck, avoiding everybody's expectant eyes.
Her expectant eyes.
How the hell do I say this to her?
"Uraraka, could we talk in private?" I asked.
I heard a scoff from none other than the Kacchan.
"Damn Deku I didn't know you could be that heartless." He said, smirking at me while wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
What a asshole. I shoved him away, looking back at Uraraka.
"Uraraka?"
"Yeah, we can talk." She said still expecting, but her blushing calmed down.
The crowd dispersed, displeased, but I could practically picture the tweets on UA's social media page.
Mina didn't have it, though.
"Hey, Deku, are you chickening out in front of all these people right now!"
"Don't hold my girl up, just accept the confession, everyone knows you like her." She added getting some agreements.
Kacchan mocked me, "stop being a pussy."
It's getting too loud. Why are they causing drama? My head started spinning. All their voices echoed. My shoulders got heavier. The pressure was getting out of hand. I pushed Kacchan away. I shouldn't have to deal with this, but I owe Uraraka an answer.
"Mina, calm down," Momo said.
"He's clearing chicken out, I'm just trying to give him a push." Mina rebuttals.
"Hey nerd, what's up with you?" Their voices were drowned out.
Ringing in my ear drowned out their voices. I need to say something. They just keep getting more attention on me if I make any more of a scene. This is unfair. It should have been like, but seeing Uraraka's face crumbling by the second, I needed to say something.
I walked towards her, hugging her. I whispered in her ear.
"I love you, Uraraka..." She buried her head in my shoulder I could smell her strong, delightful pheromones.
"...but only as a friend." I meant every word I said.
She supported me when others didn't believe me. She helped when I asked. She has been a positive person in my life for the pasted 2 years I have known her. I could say I love and care for her.
"O-oh," I felt the tears dampening my shirt, but I confronted her.
"Did I ever have a chance?" She asked if her pheromones had gotten weaker, conveying her sadness.
"Of course."
"Then why?" She cried out softly.
I looked at all the expectant people; they gossiped, taking pictures, and bothering me even more. Everybody is going to talk about this all weekend.
"I can trust you not to blabber about this, right?" She nodded.
"Promise?"
"I promise."
I let out a shaky breath. I'm about to tell her my biggest secret.
"I found my soulmate."
