Chapter 69 - Fairy 66: The Storm that no one wanted – Part 2

"Behave yourselves!"

It came out of nowhere, like a raging storm of fury on the seas. Erza came before the two idiots, who lost track of their surroundings, as they destroy the tables around them in their fight, only to halted their battle, when the fury storm herself, grabbed their heads only to slammed them into the ground!

Makarov, who just left the office, for a change of pace, show a deadpan look, when he watches as Erza nailed Gray and Natsu into the ground.

"..." Makarov did not say a word while his smile froze in place, as he stared at the shattered floorboards among the destroyed tables.

Why does everything in this guild, always ends up in something being destroyed? Even preventing someone from destroying something, always ends the same way!

And yet again, Makarov should know better by now, but because he is too laz-

Because he is too old, he cannot be bothered with this anymore, causing the old sigh to leave this old Wizard's lips.

'86,939… hahaha… you damned brats…' Makarov thought to himself, calculating the cost of the repairs, yet again…

Since when did this became his hobby?

No, really, since when did this all started?

And isn't strange, that every single carpenter and builder in Magnolia, as well must outside Magnolia, knew him?

While Makarov stared at the damages done to the guild hall, for the third time this week at that. Erza, the raging storm like Valkyrie, grabbed Gray and Natsu by their legs, and forcedly pulled them out of the ground.

And from the moment they came out from the floorboards, as former nails, Erza made the two idiots to kneel before her, only to lecture them, yet again.

Zack, who is now sitting on a new table, that he helped to carry in with the other guild members from the warehouse behind the Fairy Building. Looked at Natsu and Gray being punished along with Cana, who also sitting beside him.

While Loke himself, has some time ago has left the Guild for some reason, properly to attend to some mixer or something along those lines.

"Don't tell me… it's raining?" Cana went with slight annoyance, as she put down the glass of juice she is drinking, since Cana planning to leave the guild for a Job in some time, this is reason why the young alcoholic teenager was having no alcohol.

And seeing it beginning to rain outside, it was no wonder why annoyance flashed on her sober face, when she looked at the droplets hitting the windows of the Fairy Building.

"Yeah, and it looks heavy as well." Zack went, noticing the droplets hitting the windows are getting heavier through his Haki senses, showing this rain wouldn't be a light one, but a gloomy rainfall.

It wasn't surprising thing to see, it is that time of the year when it rains the most. However, for some reason, when Zack looked at the gloomy rain outside the windows, he felt uncomfortable.

A sense of discomfort heavily hit Zack, causing Zack to be confused, as the clueless teenager has no clue why this rain… felt so ominous, and why does this Beast King, that Mirajane and her siblings keep surfacing to his thoughts.

It is nonsense, a strange sense of discomfort with no proof why he felt this way, causing only confusion to dwell within Zack.

That is why he never mention this worrying feeling, and why he put this uncomfortable emotion aside, when it has no roots why he felt this way.

However, how could he know, that only moments later, yes, only moments later, how much he will regret of not trusting those uncomfortable emotions of his, especially when this sense of unease firstly came to him.

Among the chaotic guild, with Erza about to finished her lecture towards the two idiots, and the guild chatting among themselves, no one had noticed among the chaotic sounds within the guild, no one had heard when the silent sounds of the rain became louder, especially when this rain became louder when the double doors of the guild began to open.

The front doors of the guild opened, not loudly, like it normally opens, but slowly and very quietly at that, as if a child was the one struggling to opened a door like that, or… maybe something else, that made whoever opened the guild doors, to opened them slowly, not due to their age, but a lack of strength that carried an ominous and yet sadden reasoning.

The ones who came through double doors are two teenagers, who walked into the guild hall, not just unnoticed by all within the guild, but the way they walked was slowly, like dragging themselves to move forward, either by their own will, or subconsciously so.

And it did not help, when their blue as the seas eyes, that lies behind their soaking wet snow white hairs, are as lifeless as their steps are.

It wasn't long when the two lifeless teenagers were noticed by the guild. At first, the ones who noticed, are the ones who noticed them passing by them, which caused them to look at them, and also doubted their eyes, as well doubted the deep feeling of unease that began to dwell in them, when they sawthose lifeless sea blue eyes of theirs.

And it did not help the sense of unease and discomfort, when these two they noticed, wasn't strangers, but follow guild members, teenagers they knew, and yet, that is the reason why it felt so uncomfortable, because right now, they felt so different then normal…

From the way they looked so lifeless, how they moved, if they are dead… as if something serious has happened, something that made started to realised what that is… especially when…

Makarov also noticed them, at first, his attention was on Erza who about to finished her lecturing of Natsu and Gray. But he noticed how odd it is, the tone of the guild began to die down.

The guild is never quiet, unless someone either makes them shut up, like a certain grandson of his, or Erza when she is mad. However, they never so quiet, unless… something else happened.

This caused Makarov to snapped towards the source, and he saw it, heading towards the middle of the guild, where Erza, Natsu and Gray are still at.

And closer they got to the middle of the guild, more people noticed them, more became either quiet, or hold their breath upon seeing the two teenagers, who did not care about the unwanted attention, or did the two teenagers cared about their surroundings.

They moved, as if they are dead, their eyes are faded of life, as if they either seen or did something, that went beyond simple regrets.

Makarov felt his heart tighten, especially when he knew what this is, of course he knew, his damned experience that accounted for many years being either a Wizard or a Guild Master knew what this is.

That is why, he tightens his fist, to the point they almost bleed, and harden his resolves when he looked at the two teenagers, to Mirajane Strauss and Elfman Strauss, is who they are.

Makarov looked at Mirajane, whose wet snow hair, is no longer tied in her usual ponytail, but loosen and spready behind messy behind her back, in front of her face, and her shoulders, as if the teenagers simply did not care about the state of her hair has become.

And the way her eyes looked, were as if she already dead, even if that is not true.

Even the way she walked, mirrored her lifeless eyes, it looked like Mirajane wasn't walking out of choice or freedom, but on autopilot, as if her body was the one who is guiding Mirajane and her young brother back to the guild, not her mind.

Makarov than turned to Elfman, who looked as dead as Mirajane. He walked behind Mirajane, not a few steps he normally does, but several steps, which made it strange.

If felt like the teenager is unable to bear with himself to be near his sister.

But this unwillingness wasn't out of hatred or dislike towards Mirajane… no, it was more aimed towards himself, like a sinner who did something, they could never forgive themselves with.

And furthermore, Elfman did not react or respond to the Guild that are now staring at him and his sister, for someone who find it so uncomfortable to be looked by others, to be noticed by others, Elfman did not react, he did not care, if anything, he walked like a sinner, taking several steps behind his elder sister, who looked like as if she had lost everything.

Makarov looked at them both, and heavily sighed, as he can guess, no, anyone who looked at them, can caused what has happened… especially when one of them are missing.

That is right… there is no sight of Lisanna Strauss among them, and that what makes this worse than anything else, when Makarov and the others, cannot see that cheerful young lass anywhere among the two walking dead-like siblings, which caused many who linked the missing Lisanna and the dead looking siblings together.

Either hold their breath in fright, or felt their hearts tighten in pain, knowing what this meant.

Zack himself, did not noticed at first, when he sensed the two new auras that came to the guild, he did not pay them any attention, it not the first time he sensed someone walked into the guild, they either members returning back to the guild, or clients that personally came for a commission to be complete by their Guild.

However, while watching the droplets hitting the windows of the guild, and also listening to Cana, who complained about the heavy rain outside, especially when it wouldn't be long for the young alcoholic had to leave the guild in this heavy rain at that.

Than he noticed something is off. He could feel the emotions of the auras around him has changed. He can feel doubt, disbelief, and he also can feel sorrow, causing Zack to focus with his weaken Observation Haki, to feel the emotions around him in more depth.

And then he noticed them, two auras that stood out among everyone else, one with emptiness and sorrow, the other with hatred, but aimed at themselves along with regrets so deep, like an abyss.

Be it the deep regrets along with self-hatred, or sorrow and emptiness, both of these set of emotions made Zack pause with unease, this is not the first he felt such emotions with his Haki.

But it is the first time, he felt such intense versions of them, that made him so uncomfortable feeling them, and yet, he looked for the sources of those two auras, one with the abyssal emptiness and sorrow , and the one with rooted regrets and self-hatred.

He looked for them, at first, Zack did not find them, due to them being blocked by the guild, but soon they entered the middle of the guild, where Zack is also at.

Closer they came to the middle of the guild, less noises were heard, more people held their breaths or looked like they do not want to believe what is written right before their eyes.

Zack watches this, but he also noticed those like Makarov and Macao, they did not doubt, but they also did not like it either. But even so, they cannot fell in doubts, they cannot show the sorrow that dwelling within them.

Because they are adults, experienced Wizards themselves, that is why they had to harden their resolves, they had to, they had to held back their emotions, especially when they had to be pillars for the ones who are inexperienced, especially towards the two that walked into the Guild like that.

It is that moment, when Zack looked at the elder members of the guild, hardening themselves with resolves they did not like this, but determined to be there for those who wouldn't be able to handle what is meant to come for them.

Zack noticed them, noticed the sources of that deep abyssal like sorrow and emptiness, and that rooted self-hatred and regrets, and he wasn't the only who noticed them, as Cana also noticed them at the same time as Zack, who narrowed her eyes noticing how odd and gloomy the guild has suddenly become.

And that also applies to Natsu and Gray, who also noticed the sources at the same time.

When the four of them noticed who they are, and the real reason why the guild because so silent and gloomy, the four of them found their minds unable to work, as their minds became blank, especially when an unwanted realisation came to them, like most of the Guild also realised as well.

However, among the four of them, one was different, they refuse to accept reality, refuse and acknowledged the realisation they also came with, as they just completely denied the possibility of the truth itself.
