Chapter 2 - World Will...

The wind whispered through the trees.

Silias didn't move.

[ Hey, Normie. ]

There it was again. Not in his ears. In his head.

His jaw tensed. His senses flared, scanning the shadows. Empty street. No movement. Just dirt, wind, and stars.

"…Who's there?" he muttered.

[ You heard me earlier. No need to play dumb now. ]

A pause.

Then something clicked in his mind. A ridiculous, impossible thought.

"…World Will?"

[ Bingo. ]

Silias froze.

World Will? The World Will? That wasn't supposed to be a thing for people like him. It was a rare phenomenon — something whispered about in dusty scrolls or bragged about by top-tier Senar Users. A voice only the chosen elite ever heard. The gifted. The branded. The powerful.

He wasn't any of those.

"…I thought you only spoke to Senar Users."

[ Normally, yes. ]

His pulse quickened.

"…So why me?"

[ Because you're weird. ]

Silias blinked. "Weird?"

[ Yep. Weird. Off. Strange. Glitchy, even. I don't fully understand it myself yet. You're like a puzzle piece from the wrong game box. ]

"…You're saying I'm… broken?"

[ Not broken. Just not normal. Which is hilarious, considering everyone keeps calling you a Normie. ]

Silias rubbed his temples. This was insane. He wasn't high. He wasn't dreaming. The air still had that dusty village chill, and his boots still crunched on the dirt road. Real. Everything was real.

He glanced around again — still alone.

Alright. Talking to an ancient, possibly omniscient force on the open street wasn't ideal.

"I'm heading home," he muttered. "You can still talk to me in there, right?"

[ Of course. I'm not bound by doors. ]

"Figured."

Silias shifted into a jog, boots thudding softly against the dirt as he made for the village edge. Lantern light flickered behind him, but he didn't look back. His breath found rhythm with his stride.

He didn't head home. Not to the lonely cottage tucked just beyond the east gate.

Instead, he veered right — straight into the woods.

The trees greeted him with rustling silence. Familiar. Shadowed. Watching.

His mind drifted as his body moved.

The World Will.

He'd heard of it. Everyone had — if they paid attention to anything beyond their own noses.

According to his limited knowledge.

Senar Users walked five ranks:

Initiate. Awakened. True User. Noble. Lord.

Every Senar-blooded child was technically born an Initiate. The spark was there, even if it slept. But nothing started until age sixteen — that was when the World Will gave them the System. A clean, cold interface. An assignment of potential. A path.

It didn't talk.

It didn't care.

It just measured.

And yet… this voice — this presence in his head — was different.

Not the System. Above the System.

Like a queen speaking through a mirror someone else polished.

Only the highest elites — the kind who rewrote history or broke the sky open — ever heard the real World Will speak.

And him? Silias Raverant? Normie? What the hell was going on?

He slowed to a stop.

Forest. All around. Dense. Dark. Perfect.

A huge tree loomed ahead, taller than the rest, its crown tangled in stars.

He crouched once, then launched.

His boots hit bark, legs pumping, hands gripping when needed. He scaled it like a man possessed. Like gravity had questions it was too afraid to ask.

In seconds, he was up. Settled on a thick branch near the top.

The wind brushed his face, crisp and cold. The stars blinked. The forest exhaled below him.

Silias leaned back against the trunk, steadying his breath.

"…Alright, missus," he said aloud, a dry smirk touching his lips.

"Let's talk."

[ Alright, I rather show you than tell. Call it. ]

"Call what?"

[ Your status. ]

"My what...?" Silias sat up. "Are you saying..."

[Yes, I gave you a system. So call it. ]

Silias eyes narrowed, he still does not fully understand what was going on.

Why would the World Will talk to him? Why would it give him a system that only Senar Users are meant to have?

A defiant thought bubbled up in response: Because I am special, duh. He shoved it down — not because he disagreed, no, but because something was weird.

Pushing down all his worries, he followed the World Will instruction.

"Status." He called out.

A holographic screen appeared in front of his eyes. The screen was golden in color, it's edges were designed in a way that made it seem like it was sitting in a frame — a royal frame.

His eyes drifted towards its content.

"Woah. This is cool." Silias said as he read through his profile. It was a nice thing to be able to know one's evaluated ability, especially if it was as detailed as this.

[ Notice any abnormalities? ]

"Nope." Silias shook his head.

[ That was a joke right? ]

"I really cannot fathom why you would think I am weird after compiling my status. I can not see any thing wrong here." Silias truly could not see what the problem was.

[ For starters, you have too many skills for someone who's goofed off their whole life. ]

"So, jealous of my talent. Got it."

[ I won't fall for your rage bait, I can read your mind. To be fair though, the skills could be attributed to your talent. ]

"Yea, I am a genius... I guess."

[ Another weird thing about your stats is the fact that you are evaluated to be stronger than the Awakened(Squire) rank. You are a Normie. ]

"I am a Raverant."

[ That does not explain it. Raverant are that strong because of the boost their bloodline offers to their physical body and Senar usage. You are a Normie. ]

"Well, father once told me that..."

[ You are the most naturally talented Raverant in history. I know, I am the World Will. The limits and potential of mortals are within my purview, however unusual. As you have said, you are immensely talented and gifted. What I am most concerned about is the Spirit stat. ]

"Spirit?"

[ Yes. Your soul… I can't find it. Not entirely. Something's off. Like your existence doesn't fully register. ]

"Huh?"

[ I cannot feel your soul. ]
