*I turned off all the lights inside my house and picked up some snacks from the shelf and sat on the couch* "Finally Mom is out I can watch a horror movie" *I said with a happy and content sigh*
*I was enjoying, the movie was getting intense when I heard a baby's cry and I confused that this movie does not have a baby* "A baby's cry?...This movie does not have a baby in it" *I looked around for some clues then I heard the source of it and it was coming from the basement which shocked me even more cause there is no other kid in my family except me*
*I slowly moved closer to the door of the basement but then I remembered it is locked and my mother said there are rats in there so not to go* "I should call mom!"
*I quickly pulled out my phone and called my mother* "Mom when will you come back?" *I said as I tried to hide the tension in my voice*
*My mother calmly but her voice was a little tensed said* "On my way honey....I got stuck in traffic so it might take some time for me to reach home...Eat well and--" *I cut her mid sentence* "Mom listen please....there is a kid in the basement can you tell me where are the keys to the basement?"
*My mother was stunned then she spoke in a fearful voice* "Listen Aradhya...do not go near the voice and go to your room till I come back" *She hung up the phone*
*I thought closing the curtain will be a good idea so I went to close it but a lady was screaming outside* "Where is my son?...where did you hid him you witch?...Where is he?" * She was crying and screaming and I was just getting afraid that what is going on? but I still closed all the windows and but When I was about to to close the back door of the house to my horror I was late for that cause that women have already entered the house so I hid in my room and locked it*
*I tried to call my phone as my hands were shaking from fear and there was no signal as well tears fell from my eyes as my body started to shake from fear I wanted the someone to rescue me...and ask my mother that what was going on here?*
*I heard someone smashing the basement door and suddenly I remembered there is a damn child in there what if that women kill it?*
*I grabbed a rod and unlocked the door ready to defend her but still scared that what if things got out of my hands?*
*I peeked out and saw that women smashing the door with a hammer and she was screaming in pain and hurt* "My child...I am coming to save you...do not cry my love...Mama will save you"
*I was confused who is she calling her child?*
*Then I saw her face covered in bruises and blood and I gasped in fear and that women heard my gasp and turned to me* "Oh a little rat is hiding inside?...Let me treat you first...little child!" *I tired to close my door but I was too slow for that cause that women already barged inside and I thought this is the end of my life I will not survive now...she will kill me*
*My eyes wide from fear as I cried and prayed god to spare my life* "Don't kill me...I don't know you....I am just a normal kid...please...Don't ki--" *A loud thud made me stop as that women and I turned to the voice and saw my mother there with police officer and I thought I must be safe now but then I saw that women's smile* "Oh so you are also here now....Ishita? then see your child also get taken away from you" *That women attacked my head with the hammer and everything went Numb. My vision started to blur and the loud voices became whispers...I saw with my blurry eyes that my mother was there rushing towards me crying but I couldn't hear her and the women was laughing like a maniac and worst of all....the police came with something in there hand but before I can recognize what is it everything went blank*
*I woke up in a white room then I realized it is a hospital* "Where is my mother?"
*The police officers answered*
Officer 1 :- She is Jail.
*I Was stunned*
Me :- WHAT!!!!....Why is she in jail?...*my vital signs rose as the doctors rushed and kept the condition under control.*
*Officer 2 :- Calm down...and listen...your father Hemant left you and your mother few years back when you were a kid and you mother felt devastated but when she found out the reason she went bizzare cause your father left your both for another women...the women you saw that day breaking in your house...that women is Shradha....she was pregnant and your mother found out and she wanted revenge so she killed your father and when the time for Shradha's Delivery came your mother stole Shradha's child and kept it alive in the basement...so Shradha came to take her child but when she saw you her anger came rushing to her brain and she harmed you...and now both your mother and Shradha are in jail...and you have to live in an orphanage with that young boy if you want.
*I fell silent, my mind spinning, tears were falling, my head was aching and I cried for hours till doctors had to come and take control*
*Few years later*
Me :- Hello everyone I am Aradhya and today I am in an orphanage living with that boy whom officers rescued during the incident I have accepted him as my brother but...I will never forgive my mother and father for what they did...I have few medical condition due to the injury but other then that I am happy now...with my lovely 5 year old brother *I smiled*
