Chapter 1 - The Strom brings her back!

The rain poured relentlessly, thick like grief from the heavens. Darkness smothered the hills, broken only by the fierce flash of lightning—each bolt like a memory screaming to be felt again. The thunder roared, not just in the sky, but deep inside a soul who had tried too long to forget.

A black Land Rover cut through the storm, tires hissing on the soaked mountain road. Inside, Ahaan stared ahead, jaw clenched, heart heavier than the skies.

"I wonder how she is now… what she's doing… Forget her, Ahaan… let go of someone who never cared for you. Why are you still thinking about her? She's probably forgotten you already..."

The words echoed in his mind as he tightened his grip on the steering wheel.

And then—without warning—the steering wheel locked.

"What the—?!" Ahaan's voice rose in panic. The vehicle jerked violently as he tried to regain control. But it was too late.

On the slippery hill road, the car spun—tires skidding, lights flashing—and then, silence broke with a bone-shattering crash as the Land Rover plunged into the valley below, swallowed by the darkness.

Later – Emergency Room, City Hospital

Chaos.

Blood.

Alarms.

Panic.

"He's losing blood—fast!" shouted a nurse. "BP dropping—pulse thready!"

"Call Dr. Mahi. Now!"

The doors burst open, and in walked Dr. Mahi—a name that carried weight, a surgeon with precision and calm like no other. But nothing could prepare her for the sight that awaited her on that stretcher.

She froze. Her eyes locked on his face—broken, bruised, barely recognizable, yet unmistakably… Ahaan.

Her breath hitched. The world spun for a moment.

"No... it can't be..." she whispered under her breath, but it was him. It was really him.

Around her, other doctors murmured.

"Severe internal trauma. Over 98% of his body is damaged. He's not going to make it."

But Mahi stepped forward, voice low and fierce.

"I don't care if it's just 2%—I'll save him."

Operation Theatre – A Battle Beyond Medicine

The operation began.

Mahi's hands moved with mechanical precision, but her soul trembled beneath the surface. With every incision, memories surged—his quiet eyes, his stubborn silences, the night he disappeared.

Tears welled behind her surgical mask.

"I never thought I'd see you again…" she whispered softly, as if he could hear her. "And now… we meet like this?"

Her fingers paused for a heartbeat, trembling slightly before regaining control.

"No, Ahaan… I haven't forgotten you. I remember everything."

And with that, she fought—not just for a life, but for a second chance at everything they'd lost.
