Like a robot, Noel turns to sit backward on the piano bench and accepts the guitar, awkwardly trying to mimic how Jade was holding it. "Like this?"
"Rest it on your leg," Jade instructs. "And relax. This isn't riverdance."
Unbidden, Noel's mind flashes back to the last time Jade told him to relax. Swallowing, he adjusts his grip. It feels unnatural, having to stretch his arm over the body of the guitar to reach the strings, and he frowns, shifting it to try and find a comfortable position.
"Here." Jade stands and crosses behind Noel, straddling the bench in order to sit right up against him. The sudden press of a scorching, solid body all along Noel's back crushes the air from his lungs, and heat creeps up his neck as Jade reaches around him. "Like this," Jade murmurs, his breath brushing over Noel's ear, warm hands covering Noel's and adjusting them.
