*Noah's POV*
My phone rings as I'm reviewing quarterly reports. The caller ID shows "Liam Bennett" - Chloe's younger brother.
I let it ring three times before answering.
"Noah Lancaster."
"It's Liam." His voice carries the same entitled edge as his sister's. "We need to talk."
"About what?"
"My business proposal. I've been trying to reach the president of Ace Corporation for weeks." There's irritation creeping into his tone. "His secretary keeps giving me the runaround."
I lean back in my chair. "What kind of proposal?"
"Investment opportunity. Big money involved." He pauses. "Look, I know you're just security, but maybe you could put in a good word? Get me a meeting?"
"I'll see what I can do."
"Actually, forget the meeting. I'll come to Ace Corporation today. Two o'clock. Tell your boss I'll be waiting in the lobby."
The line goes dead.
I check my watch. One-thirty. Perfect timing.
Madison looks up as I emerge from my office.
