Slaves
Slaves have no rights, are treated like livestock and are brought to do labour without pay. Slaves are bought and traded for gain. Some slaves are spoils of war.
Commoners
Commoners own land and do business and are overall controlled by higher authorities and power although they make up most of Verdannia.
Magistrates
The magistrates, they are judges elected by a senate to judge. They are normally quite rich and are trained for their role in society, they come up with sentencing people and through a long process they can appeal for laws to be made and commissioned by the Emperor. Magistrates also control smaller platoons of police, and are expected to censor and control the flow of news.
Knights
The knights, most are ordinary soldiers however within the army there is its own hierarchy. The military are essentially above the law, as the law only applies to commoners. The knights come from commoners families, however as some nobles are knight families they are usually high ranking in the military to become knight families. Some knight families are simply branches of the houses inside of the Houses of Ecclasia.
Nobles
Nobles, they are rich and are normally in knight families which allows them to gain such authority. However, should not be confused with the government, they are simply rich and wealthy, either through buying and selling land or their own businesses and what not. While some are independent and may simply be famous as well as rich, there are also few who are part of the large houses and have been born into nobility.
Houses of ecclasia(Also named the parliament).
The houses are a large group of people who govern the Verdannia and vote for such they are like the senates with less power. They are like individual factions and form houses, which are usually the families they are in, these families are nobles, knight families along with it; who have gained enough authority to be able to sit in the houses of ecclasia. They are not directly related but rather marry nobles and bring them into the family to grow the faction. Their purpose is to sit in the Houses of Ecclaisia, govern their own battlements and armies under the watchful eye of the senates. As the houses are usually all knights who have been trained in the sword, their offspring are trained in the sword either to fight in wars or more accurately to lead their armies in wars, or assist those who do.
The Empress
The Emperor's wife for the most of it she is a figurehead used for political gain and lacks any real power but appears to.
Senates
the senates, they govern over a large portion of land and sometimes even entire regions, they command regions and military troops and are extremely powerful and trusted by the Emperor. If one of them dies a ceremony is hosted and they are replaced. They rule the government. They govern three of the four regions of verdannia, one senate is assigned to one of the three regions. The main capital region, Vathanna is governed by Emperor. Valdora, Ceagea and Redonnia are governed by the senates.
The supreme arbiters offspring
The Emperor's children, they inherit the throne and the will of the Emperor after his passing and are tools of political gain. The one chosen by the Emperor will inherit the throne so they constantly compete against each other and despise each other in order to gain the throne. If believed to be fit one of his children can be given authority to rule over portions of the regions or a whole region. Females are not given this opportunity to gain the title in most circumstances. Rather they are married off to nobles or are expected to marry into the houses. Each of the Emperor's children are the leaders of each of the houses in the government. Though the houses themselves have less authority than The Senates.
The Emperor
As the Emperor of Verdannia, He has absolute authority over Verdannia and makes laws for Verdannia. 'All hail Verdannia'
