Arthur was rambling about the past. The repeatedly failures and the fact he still couldn't get his son in the end was finally taking toll on him. Not to mention this horrendous environment.
Not even in his wildest dream would he have imagined that he would end up in this dirty part of the pack house, being disrespected and abandoned by the son that he hated the most.
The old alpha always thought Jaxon was within his palm. He controlled him. He would do what he told him to do, like a trained dog.
All this time, Jaxon always sought for his approval, for his acknowledgment, therefore it never occurred to him that one day he would rebel.
"What are you talking about?"
Arthur's face twisted. "I should have killed you when Gaia gave birth to you. I know that you would be a trouble. You would kill your brother."
It didn't make sense, yet Jaxon was being exceptionally patient enough with him. "Who is she? Who was the person, who told you that?"
