Chapter 122: Eyes Covered in Darkness
The room was pitch-black, and a golden light shone through, transforming the entire room into a field of light.
The Seraph screamed in pain, both eyes blacked out as he stared at something in front of him.
The Seraph screamed in pain, as if he were being burned by the sunlight.
"Ah... What is this?!"
"My eyes! My eyes! What's going on? What's going on?"
The Seraph lay there writhing like an earthworm, his body writhing in agony, unable to stand still.
A vortex mask burst out of Seraph's body.
The moment the Psychological Mask flew out,
the golden light continued, showing no signs of stopping.
The mask quickly bowed its head in apology.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't know the Great One was here."
The mask bowed its head in apology.
The golden light disappeared instantly, as if nothing had happened.
A truly bewildering scene. Now back to normal.
Seraph regained consciousness and sat back up at the table.
Seraph remained confused as to what had happened.
Seraph's body weakened considerably.
Seraph slowly opened his eyes, but no matter how he looked, he couldn't see.
"Who turned off the lights? Could you turn them on?"
There was no response. The place was extremely quiet.
Seraph sighed in boredom, gripping the chair and table. Seraph knew from his knowledge and experience of being in the Golden Palace.
"This is the Golden Palace? Who turned off the lights?"
Seraph turned around and looked back at the table.
Seraph smiled, his face contemptuous.
"What a pitiful face! How could you be like this? How rotten is your life?"
[Life is so sad. In my opinion, I'm definitely blind. The system that should be able to see couldn't see. It's not that some fool turned off the lights, but I'm more blind. Why do I remember the events? Before we forget,
I can remember that after that mask appeared, that guy did something. I can't remember anything after that.]
"That damn mask, is it you?"
Seraph exclaimed, thinking it was the mask in front of him that caused it.
The Psychological Mask was terrified. [Don't tell me this is that person and that he allowed me to control his body?]
"No, I'm just borrowing your body. From now on, I'll never do anything to you. If possible, can I join you as your subordinate?"
Seraph was stunned, his face almost showing shock. Was this really the Golden Palace?
[Oh, damn it! Tell me if there are people there or if it's not the Golden Palace. A question to confirm where this place is.]
"What does this place look like?"
The Psychological Mask could only frown.
"This place looks like a luxurious gold color, with a single table and chairs lined up... "
The masked man began to describe the castle's appearance in detail, while Seraph listened curiously. What had so captivated him with such detail?
The masked man talked nonstop, like a stream of water that never seemed to stop flowing.
Seraph quickly ended the conversation before things got any more complicated.
"I understand. As for the subordinates, I can accept that. It's only temporary. Just temporary."
The mask nodded hurriedly, his expression strained. There was a hint of a confrontation on his face.
[Are you saying that if I perform poorly, I'll die instead? That spirit aura just now wasn't normal. That guy's spirit power was beyond the level that nearly killed me, a level eight. Just seeing him was almost fatal. Who is this guy?]
"Okay, I'll do my best."
Seraph could only wonder. [I still need help traveling. Blind like this, where am I going? Temporary. This one must understand.]
Seraph was about to say something.
A white light of some effect was born.
Seraph heard a familiar voice, so he could guess that someone had come here.
[Someone came here, which means the Golden Palace is here. I shouldn't have listened to this guy explain so much.]
The mask just made a face, wondering what to do.
The mask just had a curious thought.
The white light by the chair revealed A figure was seen sitting there, calm.
He was a man with long yellow hair, reaching down to his neck, a handsome face, and a body that could be described as thin. He wore plain yellow clothing and dark yellow eyes. He was about five years old. His name was Jade.
[Hmm, where is this place?]
Jade looked puzzled, and a white ring was on his finger.
Seraph just sat there, unmoved.
Jade stared at Seraph's suspicious face.
Time passed, and neither said a word.
Seraph wanted to break the mood. [Say something. I'm not in the mood. Let the temporary subordinate candidate do his job.]
"My subordinate, what's your name?"
Seraph asked the name of the level eight magic mask.
The mask replied, "No. I'm a nameless object."
"Umm..."
Seraph was silent. [I'm a nameless object. What do you mean? Thinking about it gives me a headache. Let this guy handle everything. This will be the end of the matter. Time to pass the buck.]
"Then, would you mind helping the newcomer solve this problem?"
The Magic Mask nodded happily. "Thank you very much, my loyal subordinate. I will solve this problem for the man before me."
[Now that I have received this chance, I will definitely survive. I will not die in this place.]
The Mask floated up and looked at the calm Jedai.
"Then, tell me what you need. I will help you."
Jedai smiled, remaining calm. "Thank you for your kindness. But it's okay. I have already solved the problem."
Jedai bowed his head, Magic Mask, calmly, without showing any emotion.
The Magic Mask immediately became angry. [You little brat, don't want to talk, huh? Fine, I'll force you to talk.]
The Magic Mask used his Magic Skill.
"Tell me your goal and the problem you've encountered, Masa."
The Mask used the Deadly Voice Command. To ask about the secret of the Jedi.
Jedi was immediately hypnotized.
"Yes, my goal is to become the right-hand man of a family lord. The problem I'm facing is that I'm not good enough at controlling people. I've used hostages and other people's secrets to manipulate them, but it's not enough. I want something that can control people more completely."
Hearing this, Seraph became suspicious of the person in front of him.
[Isn't this a criminal? No, everyone's lifestyle is different. I don't need to get involved, but whatever. I'm part of the organization.]
The magic mask turned to Seraph. "Sir, what do you want me to do? Can I help?"
Seraph could only agree, not caring at all.
"If I can help, please do so."
"Understood. Controlling people is my forte. My words are like final judgment. This subordinate I'll follow this kid myself. "
[Take your time and get away from this guy, using this kid as a weapon. Go ahead, you monster!]
Seraph nodded. "Sure." [How about we follow? The chances of meeting face to face are slim. Everyone's in different places. Anyway, help me take you to the village. Do whatever you want with the rest.]
The Golden Palace disappeared immediately after Seraph gave his permission. Under the mask of psychology, he followed Jedi, leaving Seraph alone in the cave.
