Chapter 119: The Origin of the Demon Invasion
The ruined Orange Village, so much so that it could be called...
It wasn't a village. The people whose spell had been lifted began to disperse and flee.
The two-headed angel group fled from the battle between the two strong men.
"Run! There are monsters fighting. If we don't run, we'll all die!"
"What's going on?!"
"Our boss is over there. That means he's fighting!"
The commotion erupted as everyone fled the area.
The order to retrieve the sword was forgotten.
Everyone ran for their lives.
Inside Orange Village, a seraph floated in mid-air, speaking.
"Lava in the ground, rise!"
A red glow beneath the ground shot up into the sky. Boom!
A red-orange glow, molten lava the size of a mountain, rose out. Boom!
Faye swung her sword waves toward Seraph. Pew pew pew.
Seraph pointed directly at Faye.
"Lava strikes! Lightning strikes! Earth strikes in all directions! Meteorites fall! Clouds gather!"
Red lava shot toward the sword. Boom!
Lightning from the sky slammed down, creating a haphazard attack that could be considered a directionless attack. Pew pew pew! Pew pew! Pew pew!
Lightning roared back and forth, slamming into the ground. Boom!
The explosion shattered the ground.
Lightning shimmered from the explosion. Boom!
The rain of earth struck Faye. Pew pew pew!
Faye's blue sword flew in to meet the attack. Boom!
A blue sword flew in to meet the lightning strike and spun around. Boom!
Faye swung her sword, attacking through the air.
The sky was full of stars. Over ten meteorites were flying down. Whoosh!
The sword created a sword line, splitting the meteorites apart. Boom! Boom!
Clouds gathered around Seraph, concealing Seraph's identity.
Seraph spoke up with a mocking smirk.
"Go ahead, Dan. You're stronger than I thought. See you, Sword Blade!"
Clouds gathered, concealing Seraph's identity.
Fay stood there, plagued by disasters all around. Boom! Boom!
Fay couldn't escape this place.
There were only the sounds of attacks from the ground and lightning. Boom!
The magic sword spoke up. "Tch! Dan escaped. Did you run away when you saw you were at a disadvantage? And you said you weren't serious?"
Fay asked. "Do you know where that person is?"
"I don't know at all. But I can sense his direction. Are you really going to follow him?" Are you sure?
"Sure."
"But I suggest Ana instead."
Faye asked curiously, wondering why she hadn't followed.
"Reason."
"Of course, you can't take it anymore."
Around Faye, lightning blasts erupted, and a massive rain of earth rained down. Boom!
Shortly, the Seraph's attacks
disappeared, and Faye looked down at her body.
Red blood exploded all over Faye's body. Boom!
Faye was severely injured.
Faye landed on the ground. Boom!
Faye breathed heavily, looking down at her body. Every part of her body was unable to move.
Bone was crushed, her arms and legs broken, unable to move. Red blood kept flowing out.
Faye asked, confused, "What do you mean?" Why is your body like this?
The white magic sword in your hand was shaking.
"Of course it is. You've exceeded your power. Your power level is only at the third level, but you're using my ability, which is at the eighth level. Don't you think that's strange?"
"Are you saying that I can't withstand your spirit power, which is why your body is like this?"
"Yes, your body is the most important part. I've used half of my power to protect you, to display your sword power. Now that we've reached our limits, I'd like to say that, but the truth is, you've already exceeded your limits. If you continue like this, you're dead for sure."
Faye breathed weakly. "So how can I regain my strength quickly?"
"It'll be several years before I can fully recover. Existences who have used magical items beyond their level are few and far between. It's like fighting across levels is incredibly difficult.
Some magical items have drawbacks. Using high-level magical items may require a substitute. If there was one high-level entity I've ever encountered, it would probably be a level 9 magic lamp.
I once made a wish to that person, telling him I wanted a sword wielder.
How did that person summon you here? But he also summoned Yaana. Orange Village was devastated by a demon invasion. It was because that wish brought bad luck to this place. If I'd known it would happen, I definitely wouldn't have made that wish.
The more dangerous and difficult the wish, the more likely it was to trigger a demon attack. In a short while, I could sense the aura of that level 9 magic lamp.
It meant someone had made a wish. So, this is the downside of high-level magical items with spirits. Each one has its own drawbacks. If you're not a true user, you'll have to pay a price for what you've received.
"What about that masked one's flaw?"
"Simply put, I don't know. I'm just a magical item. I don't have that much knowledge. And I warn you, don't ask for a blessing from that lamp unless you want this important place to be destroyed."
"Is there any way to save that person?"
"No, it's a level eight magical item. If it's not level eight, the chances of winning are slim to none. Didn't you see that?"
"That ability that guy displayed?"
"Yes, that ability that guy displayed. Do you think you alone can handle it? That kid's dead. But don't worry. I saved the people that kid brought with me. I used my sword abilities to spread out and protect everyone. Almost everyone survived. Maybe a few people were hurt."
Fay nodded in agreement. Agreeing with the sword.
"Is that so? I'm sorry, I can't do anything."
Fay apologized to Seraph, speaking out loud.
The sword wondered. "I thought you were going to struggle and ask me to help that child, huh?"
Fay shook her head. "I'm going to use what I have to fulfill my desires. I will never drag anyone else into this."
Fay sat on the ground, the sword lodged in Fay's back as a backrest. Fay sat there calmly.
After a while, a sword flew towards Fay, and someone hung behind her.
Fay saw Richa flying with a blue sword in her hand.
Richa landed on the ground with a thud.
"Dangerous. So, you survived, Fay? A disaster of that magnitude, and you survived? This is my little sister. So, what now?"
Fay spoke up, opening her eyes. "I want to help the person that child brought here. I want to do that, at least."
Richa could only wonder, "Have you changed?" „
