"Stay safe, all students evacuate the plaza immediately! Don't linger around here any longer!"

The faculty members who rushed to the scene began guiding students away from the plaza as fast as possible.

If you're going to spectate, at least do it from a safe distance.

This Duel was nothing like the one that happened in the back mountain region of the Academy.

The rear mountain, at the very least, was outside the school's jurisdiction—beyond Fusion Academy's walls.

But this time, the enormous body of Dystopia the Despondent had erupted directly into Fusion Academy itself, towering toward the sky.

If any students got injured, the school would be directly responsible.

"A God—it's a real God!"

"It's so huge… Is this the pressure of a divine being?!"

Regardless, students' curiosity wasn't so easily quelled—not even by a safety evacuation.

The sight of the black god bursting through the earth into the student plaza was even more shocking than Slifer the Sky Dragon's appearance at the mountain.

"Who's dueling the God this time?"

"Could it be that same Duelist from the mountain who faced Slifer?"

They were absolutely right. The one facing Dystopia the Despondent now was the very same Aisha Carlos.

[Aisha Carlos, LP: 2400 → 100]

As her remaining Life Points flickered, Dark Aisha Carlos sneered coldly.

"Miscalculation. You survived the divine strike with 100 LP left? How resilient."

Embedded into a crumbling wall from the impact, Aisha felt like every bone in her body might shatter alongside it.

"Khh—It hurts so much!"

So much for the lie that Trial Duels don't cause physical pain.

Miles cried out, "Let me take over, Aisha. Fighting a god like Dystopia is too dangerous!"

After brief hesitation, Miles attempted to take back control of Aisha's body.

Even though she had grown since dueling the Pharaoh, he deemed Dystopia too much for her.

"No, Mr. Miles!"

To his shock, Aisha gripped her Millennium Puzzle tightly and refused—her first time ever rejecting a Soul Exchange.

Then, wobbling but determined, Aisha walked back into the shattered trial barrier.

"Just this once... I have to see this Duel through to the end. I may be weak. I may never win against anyone. But I can't lose to the me who strayed off course!"

"You're not weak, Aisha," Miles said gently. "You're the Duelist who's stood before a God—twice."

Maybe it was fate, maybe coincidence—even so, both divine Duels had always come to her.

"[First of the Dragons]'s effect—this card cannot be destroyed by battle with an Effect Monster!"

Aisha pointed at the battered First of the Dragons still on her field. Though it endured Dystopia's blow, even this ancient beast looked worse for wear.

"A monster like that poses no threat before Dystopia. I end my turn."

Perhaps affected by the god's aura, Dark Aisha's once-white uniform and skirt had darkened, her mood twisted further.

"I finally have power. In despair, I found the strength to take revenge on everything and everyone that cast me aside!"

"Hatred and despair are not the right kind of power!" Aisha roared back. "That kind of strength can't bear the weight of victory!"

Dark Aisha scoffed. "Then prove it. Show me your so-called 'correct' power. Surpass the divine strength of despair and carry victory yourself!"

"With pleasure! My turn—draw!"

Meanwhile, Vice Principal Raiden of Fusion Academy also took notice of Dystopia's emergence and approached the plaza.

Raiden was an elder respected across the country, appointed as Vice Principal due to his standing as a veteran Duelist. Since assuming his post, Raiden had flawlessly kept the Academy in order during the Headmaster's frequent absences, earning the respect of both staff and students.

"Headmaster... what kind of God is that?" Miss Erin asked. "That kind of card hidden beneath our school…"

Raiden stroked his beard and gave a wry smile.

"Dystopia the Despondent. If anyone left a card like that sealed under the Academy, it could only be the Headmaster."

"Then what should we do?" Professor Field, the second-year homeroom teacher, stepped forward. "We can't let a monster that dangerous run loose. If you give the order, I'll deal with it."

"Wait and observe. Dystopia hasn't caused serious damage yet. This is part of the Headmaster's trial. The Duel isn't over."

"The Duel isn't over?" Miss Erin was shocked. "You mean a student is... dueling that? That's far too dangerous. Who—"

"—Draw!"

With a defiant flash, Aisha drew her card—the key to reversing fate.

"I activate the Quick-Play Spell—[De-Fusion]! I'll undo the Fusion of [First of the Dragons]!"

The battered Fusion Monster split in two.

Its materials, [Mokey Mokey] and [Volcanic Rat], reappeared on Aisha's field.

"Hahahaha!" Dark Aisha scoffed. "Knowing First of the Dragons couldn't win, you reverted it to jobbers? How is that not surrender?"

"Shut up!"

"Huh?"

Her tone matched Dark Aisha's outburst from the turn before, catching her off guard.

"Relying on despair and revenge isn't real growth. The end of revenge is always emptiness. I'll never lose to a version of me with nothing!"

Aisha slammed the key card she'd drawn onto the field.

Dark Aisha snapped back, "You say I have nothing?! You've always been protected—someone like you could never defeat despair!"

"True strength is the power to protect what's important—to protect those you love! This is the battle style of weak monsters. The one taught to me... by the person who's most important to me!"

"—I activate the Equip Spell—[Amulet of Ambition]!"

A miracle Equip for weak monsters. The golden-eyed amulet shone as it equipped itself to the Attack Position [Mokey Mokey] that had returned from the Fusion undo.

"I equip [Mokey Mokey] with [Amulet of Ambition] and battle Dystopia the Despondent!"

[Equip only to a Normal Monster. When it battles a monster with a higher Level, it gains ATK equal to the difference in Levels × 500 during damage calculation only.]

The level gap of despair—Dystopia at Level 12, Mokey Mokey at Level 1.

An 11-level difference.

"Im-Impossible!" Dark Aisha's face contorted in terror.

Aisha pointed at her now-swelling tofu blob.

"11 Level difference—Mokey Mokey gains 11 times 500, equal to 5500 Attack!"

[Mokey Mokey, ATK: 300 → 5800]

A Mokey Mokey swollen to rival Dystopia in size—possibly even larger.

A spectacle so absurd it would never even appear in dreams—the square, stoic-faced blob known as Mokey Mokey—now bigger than God.

"Just who is even doing this ridiculous Duel..."

Miss Erin didn't need an answer.

That day, even the gods felt the terror of being dominated by Mokey Mokey.

"Even if you have despair-level ATK, even if you're immune to destruction—you can't survive this! This is how a weak monster strikes back at a god! Go—Mokey Mokey!"

Receiving Aisha's command, the titanic tofu blob raised its short arms—

—Well, short for a normal Mokey Mokey. At this size, even its tiny limbs had grown into enormous appendages. With a swing, the entire plaza roared.

BOOM—!

A thunderous slap echoed across the Academy as Mokey Mokey palm-struck Dystopia the Despondent square on the head.

In battle, Dystopia couldn't be destroyed.

But so what?

"You may not be destroyed—"but you still take battle damage! Mokey Mokey has 800 more Attack than Dystopia!"

N-No way this is real!"

Dark Aisha's pupils shrank in panic.

She turned to her Spirit Eyes, staring at her Life Points.

And then—came the slap of divine judgment.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

[Aisha Carlos (Dark), LP: 550 → 0]

Her slender body was thrown by the shockwave, coated in dust and rubble from the collapsing ruins.
