Chapter 57 - Ch57: Serpent Seal (2)

Kakashi placed the scroll on the ground and motioned for Sasuke to kneel.

"This seal will enhance your chakra, speed, and endurance. It has medium healing abilities through senjutsu and gives snake-like traits heat sensing, faster reflexes, and night vision. If you unlock the second stage, you'll gain scaly wings and even more power."

"I'm ready." Sasuke gave a small nod, excited to finally have a power-up.

Kakashi formed a single-hand seal and placed his palm on Sasuke's neck. The chakra surged gently. Red lines spread out from Kakashi's palm, wrapping around Sasuke's neck in a spiral.

The seal formed a coiled serpent with sharp wings, its fangs creating a circle in the middle. The design glowed for a moment, then faded into the skin.

"What does it look like?" Sasuke said as he reached up, feeling the warm mark.

"A winged snake. Its mouth is open at the center. Looks like it's guarding you." Kakashi chuckled and said.

"This means a lot… thank you, Sensei," Sasuke smirked faintly, but his voice was softer.

"Don't thank me yet. Just prove I was right to trust you." Kakashi looked at him and said. He was curious how strong Sasuke would become with his help.

Kakashi stood near a tall tree, arms crossed, waiting. Sasuke stood a few feet in front of him, eyes closed, focusing.

"You ready?" Kakashi asked.

"Yeah. Let's see what this thing can really do." Sasuke said. He was eager to try and test the seal's power.

"Try to activate it. Focus your chakra into the seal and let it spread." Kakashi nodded and said.

Sasuke took a breath and placed his hand on the back of his neck where the seal was. Chakra flowed through his body.

The seal started glowing as red lines crawled from his neck, across his shoulder, and down his chest, hidden under his shirt. His eyes narrowed as he felt the rush.

Suddenly, dark, scaly marks spread from the seal across his body. His skin darkened slightly. His speed and strength felt sharper. His senses became clearer. He felt something shift inside him like a snake coiling.

"Stage one activated," Kakashi said.

"Now push further. Call on the second stage." Kakashi knew he could go in it by putting more chakra, as this seal wasn't one like the cursed seal of Orochimaru.

"Alright." Sasuke grits his teeth.

He poured more chakra into the seal. A pulse of red energy burst around him. Wings made of black, scaly skin grew from his back.

They weren't big like a bird they were more like a dragon. His eyes glowed faintly and a hiss came from his throat without him meaning to.

"Nice. You did it." Kakashi smirked, looking proud.

Suddenly, the door of the house not far from them opened. Kurenai stepped out, rubbing her eyes. She stopped when she saw Sasuke glowing with snake wings.

"W-What the—Kakashi?! What is that?" she shouted, now fully awake.

A few seconds later Anko walked out, yawning.

"Why are you yelling so early, ohhh." She stared at Sasuke. "Damn… is that what I think it is?"

"Morning, you two. I gave Sasuke a special seal. It's a gift." Kakashi waved casually.

"A gift?" Kurenai said, walking up to him in fast steps.

"You gave your student a cursed seal?" She said.

"It's not cursed," Kakashi said. "It's safe. I built it myself based on Anko's seal. It gives healing, power boosts, and some snake traits. Completely stable."

"You made a custom seal? And gave it to your student before me?" Anko crossed her arms and said.

"You want one too?" Kakashi said as he looked at her with a grin.

"I didn't say no," she muttered.

"It looks intense…" Kurenai sighed.

Sasuke lowered the transformation slowly. The wings faded. The black marks vanished. He looked normal again but was breathing hard.

"That was… something," Sasuke said, wiping sweat from his face.

Kurenai stepped closer, looking at him. "You okay?"

"Yeah," Sasuke said. "It felt strong. I could sense everything around me like a snake. My body moved faster too. And I felt… calm. Very calm."

"Good," Kakashi said. "You handled it perfectly."

"You looked cool, kid. I'm impressed." Anko gave Sasuke a thumbs up.

"Thanks." Sasuke gave a small smile. He guessed that Anko too should be his Sensei woman so he tried to be polite.

"Alright. That's enough for now. Let's get some food." Kakashi looked at all of them and stretched.

"Lunch better be good after all this weird snake stuff." Anko grinned.

"As if you don't play with weird Snakes, Anko." Kakashi chuckled and said.

"Hahaha, I forgot." She said as she snuggled in Kakashi's embrace.

"Good girl," Kakashi said after seeing her snuggle like this.

Hearing his words Anko blushed heavily, since that morning two days ago something had changed within her.

She provoked Kakashi by trying to dominate him in bed, but each time she failed and got dominated harder instead.

And what made it even better was when Kakashi whispered Good girl in her ear.

Kurenai on the side understood and gave a laugh making Anko even more embarrassed.

Sasuke looked at the heartwarming scene and a little smile appeared on his face without even noticing.

"I swear, you always do the weirdest things in the morning, Kakashi," Kurenai said and sighed again but smiled.

"Keeps life interesting." He chuckled.

They all walked back together, Sasuke trailing slightly behind, feeling proud and a little stronger than before.
