Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 : the apartment with too many secrets

New countries. New rules. Old promises. But some names still haven't been said.

---

🛬 Seoul – Early Morning

Bunny stepped into the cool Korean air and pulled her hoodie tighter.

Everything felt different.

The airport was massive, spotless, quiet. The signs buzzed in a language she didn't know yet.

But Aarav walked through it like he belonged here.

She tried to match his pace.

> "You really remember all this?" she asked, half-joking.

He smiled slightly.

> "I never forgot it."

---

🚗 Car Ride – On the Way to Hospital

Aarav had booked a private car.

The driver greeted him with a respectful bow in Korean, and Bunny noticed how he used honorifics she didn't understand.

> "What did he call you?" she asked.

> "Just… sir," Aarav replied casually, looking out the window.

Bunny narrowed her eyes a little, but didn't push.

Instead, she leaned on the window, watching unfamiliar buildings and signs pass by like a slideshow from someone else's life.

> "I can't believe I'm actually here," she whispered.

"I'm really going to live in Korea."

> "You'll do great," Aarav said quietly.

"You always do."

---

🏥 Hospital Lobby – 8:12 AM

The lobby was elegant and modern.

Nurses bowed as Aarav entered. One of them immediately rushed forward and started speaking quickly in Korean.

Bunny stayed back — letting him handle it. He looked different here. Not just older, or taller — but... calmer. In control.

He turned to her.

> "They'll take me to see her in five minutes. You can wait here, or come with me. But no pressure."

> "I'll wait," she said softly.

He nodded and walked away.

🪑 Waiting Area – Alone with Her Thoughts

She sat on a bench beside a vending machine. People bustled around, phones rang, announcements echoed.

She pulled out her phone.

Bunny:

> "Hospital's beautiful. Staff's all bowing to him. I think your friend's some kind of royalty."

Unknown:

> "Or maybe just someone with a good heart."

She smiled.

Aarav returned twenty minutes later, quieter than before. His eyes looked tired but… relieved.

> "She's stable," he said.

"I'll come back later tonight."

> "I'm glad," Bunny said.

"What now?"

> "Now…" he said, standing up and forcing a smile,

"Let's get you home."

---

🏠 Aarav's Apartment – 11:00 AM

When Bunny stepped inside, she froze.

It wasn't just a house. It was luxury.

Minimalist. Huge windows. A breathtaking city view. A small white piano in one corner.

> "You… live here?"

> "Yeah," he said casually. "Company apartment."

> "Company gives you this?" she asked, eyebrows raised.

He nodded. "Sort of."

But before she could say more, he changed the subject.

> "Guest room's through that hallway. Clean towels on the bed. Rest, shower, anything you need. I'll make lunch later."

> "You cook too?" she smirked.

> "I've lived alone for years," he said with a wink. "I had to learn."

---

🛏️ Guest Room – Later That Day

Bunny sat on the edge of the soft bed, staring out the glass window.

Korea looked beautiful.

Strange, distant, but beautiful.

She opened her phone one last time before closing her eyes.

Bunny:

> "Day 1 in Seoul. It already feels like everything's about to change."

Unknown:

> "Maybe it is. But just remember — not all surprises are bad ones."
