Chapter 104: Crossing Worlds Again

As the cruise ship slowly docked, Little Fred, bowing respectfully, greeted them: "My Lord, My Lady, welcome home!"

"Alice, this is Little Fred, my butler. You can directly instruct him if you need anything in the future," George introduced.

"Yes, My Lady, at your service anytime!" Little Fred replied in a standard British accent.

"Thank you, Little Fred. I'll be troubling you in the future," Alice said.

"It is the honor of the Fred family to serve you, Your Highness!" he responded.

After Little Fred made the necessary arrangements, George and Alice boarded the car that awaited them. George could have taken Alice directly to the island by yacht, but as the mistress of the house, it was only fitting for her to enter through the main gate on her first return home.

Alice, sitting beside George, felt a surge of excitement. She had eagerly anticipated this moment ever since George had told her about Hogwarts Island.

Half an hour later, the car crossed a long bridge leading to two magnificent wrought-iron gates. These gates were flanked by stone pillars topped with winged angels.

George had previously enchanted the angels with the Animation Charm, a spell related to Alchemy. While its use in the Harry Potter world can be seen in the creation of wizard chess, George commanded these angels to serve solely as guardians. When not under his instruction, they disguised themselves as exquisite stone statues.

As the car drove through the gates, they opened automatically behind them. George then magically retracted the car's canopy, allowing Alice to take in the scenery.

As they approached the castle gate, a crowd had gathered on both sides of the road, with children holding flowers and adults waving their hands in warm welcome.

With a wave of George's hand, countless fireworks exploded in the sky above the island, creating beautiful patterns of various colors. The crowd cheered enthusiastically. Pointing to the roadside, George made it so that flowers slowly grew around each child, stopping at a height of one meter. As the flowers bloomed, they revealed an assortment of candies at their center.

The people had long grown accustomed to George's magic and were no strangers to its wondrous capabilities. Having witnessed the effects of magic on their own family members, they were not afraid. The sight of the candies sent the children into even greater cheers of joy.

That night, a grand bonfire party was held on the lawn in front of the castle to celebrate Alice's arrival.

The following day, George gave Alice an extensive tour of the castle, dedicating the whole morning to it. He even opened the Restricted Section for her, where all books related to magic were stored. Granting Alice access to this section was meant to keep her engaged and prevent her from feeling lonely when George was busy. However, George kept certain books that could be harmful to her unreadable and stored them separately, as he believed it was essential to shield her from such material at her young age.

Later that evening, Yui returned from the village. She had been overseeing the spring examinations for the school. Her sleeves were rolled up and a smear of ink marked her left hand.

As she passed through the hallway, she saw Alice and George laughing over some magical text, and paused only briefly before continuing. It wasn't hesitation—it was habit. Yui had long stopped measuring her steps in this house. She moved with quiet certainty. A second later, George called after her.

"Yui! We'll eat together tonight."

She turned and nodded with a smile. "Of course."

At dinner, the entire household was present. The staff, the guards, and the teachers who lived on the estate, even some of the older orphans George had adopted. Yui sat to George's left, Alice to his right.

There was laughter, warm conversation, wine, and even a few songs sung by the children. And at the end of it all, Yui stood and toasted both George and Alice.

"I was once a stranger in this country," she said calmly, the wine glass steady in her hand. "An immigrant with no name and nothing but a suitcase with a broken strap. The Orwell Foundation gave me shelter. This man gave me home. And now, this house gives me family."

She raised her glass higher. "To shared homes. And shared futures."

Alice stood, her eyes slightly moist, and clinked glasses with her. "To you, Yui. And to all of us."

...

After spending more than a month with Alice at Hogwarts, George began to contemplate his own affairs. He no longer needed to worry about running the company, as his artificial intelligence assistant, Monday, was highly effective at oversight. Since George installed surveillance across all his enterprises, nothing could escape his notice.

What concerned him now was the matter of strength. There were still worlds worth visiting: the Harry Potter world and the Naruto world. In the Harry Potter world, he could obtain valuable materials such as those that prevent the "Undetectable Extension Charm" from shrinking, which would greatly aid in restoring the chaos pearl. The first item that had caused the chaos pearl to react was the magical suitcase he acquired earlier.

In the Naruto world, there were even more enticing opportunities, with a variety of jutsu and items that stirred his curiosity. While he was rapidly accumulating energy from an abundance of available tools—three times more than in the previous year—George preferred to prioritize stability. Accordingly, he planned to travel to these worlds one at a time instead of sending clones simultaneously.

After discussing his plans with both Yui and Alice—equally and without preference—he left a clone in the study to handle ongoing matters. Alice had witnessed George's ability to create clones. When she first saw it, she was taken aback, yet George never allowed a clone to accompany her. He believed that true companionship could only come from his main self, viewing the presence of a clone as a mere formality.

As the light flickered, George slipped into the Room of Requirement. This was the only room he hadn't told Alice or Yui about; every man should keep a little space for himself.

When George reappeared, he found himself standing on a mountaintop with a large city visible in the distance. He activated his senses, and instantly, the entire city was enveloped by his perception. Over time, George had grown more proficient in the skills derived from the Speed Force, with sensory ability being a key area of his training. Initially, he could only sense the entirety of Hogwarts Island, but now he could instantly perceive the entire city of New York.

Through his heightened perception, George realized he had arrived in the Land of Fire's capital in the Naruto world. He changed his clothes, swapping his suit for a white robe typically worn by scholars of that era. While suits also existed in this world, those who wore them were not often good people.

George hadn't seen the ending of the Naruto anime in his previous life before crossing over, so he was unclear about the final outcome. The anime is primarily set in a world of ninjas, beginning with the orphaned life of the protagonist, Naruto. The Fourth Hokage had sealed the Nine-Tailed Fox that attacked the village into Naruto's body to protect the village, leading him to be shunned by the villagers. In an effort to gain attention, Naruto engaged in various pranks. Fortunately, with the guidance of Iruka-sensei, Naruto's personality remained intact; he was always driven and optimistic.

To gain recognition, Naruto aimed to become Hokage. The entire story revolves around his struggle, growth, relationships with companions, and the numerous conflicts and conspiracies within this ninja world.

This world is filled with captivating powers, such as Bloodline Limits, Ninjutsu, and Ninja Tools. With George's strength, he was almost invincible as long as beings of Six Paths Sage level didn't appear. However, if he acted recklessly, he could attract such beings. This meant that as long as he avoided directly confronting Uchiha Sasuke and Naruto, he would be fine.

George chose not to change his appearance for a simple reason: the diversity of skin and hair colors in this world made his golden hair and dark eyes inconspicuous. However, he was undeniably handsome, which drew attention from many passersby, especially young women, who openly expressed their admiration.

"That person is so handsome!"

"Yes, I wonder what his name is!"

"Look, he's looking at me!"

"Idiot, he's looking at me!"

These remarks floated to George's ears, but he was neither annoyed nor did he alter his appearance. Being handsome was an asset, after all.

George visited a pawn shop, produced a substantial piece of gold from his inventory, and exchanged it for the local paper currency. In any world, living among others required money, a lesson George had learned long ago.

With his startup capital, George first went to a bookstore to buy a world map. Then, he entered a hotel with a hot spring, paid for a month's stay, and moved in.

According to his inquiries, the current time was Konoha Year 54. The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and his wife should have both died in battle, leaving Naruto to live a lonely life.

Considering the entire storyline, George was prepared to take a different approach this time to obtain what he needed.
