Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

The second time the bell rang, I was already awake.

It wasn't nerves.

I just didn't sleep much anymore.

My body still adjusted to this world's air — cleaner, thinner, infused with spirit energy.

It made every breath feel like a sip of tea just one degree too warm.

Calming, but a little weird.

I sat up on the straw mat inside my shed.

No doors.

No lock.

Just me, the cold, and the hum of something deep inside my soul.

[Daily Pull Available.]

My eyes flicked to the system screen floating silently in my mind.

This would be my seventh pull.

The others had been… chaotic.

Useful in odd ways, yes — the Sharingan on Day 4 had proven that.

But the system had no rules.

No logic.

No tier list.

It just dropped things.

And sometimes, the things it dropped could rewrite fate.

I took a slow breath.

Focused.

"Let's spin."

[Gacha Pull: Spinning...]

The screen whirled with light.

A faint mechanical clicking sound echoed through my consciousness.

You received: Passive Ability – Imagine Breaker

[Right Hand – Status: Dormant. Passive-null type. Cannot be unequipped.]

I blinked.

"…What."

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then a subtle pressure gathered in my right arm — not painful, not hot, just dense.

Like a river had been crammed into a straw.

It faded a second later.

No visible mark.

No special symbol.

But I felt it.

Like something absolute had been placed in my grip.

[Imagine Breaker: Passive-null field. Cancels supernatural phenomena on contact. Effective against energy, soul power, martial skills, and conceptual abilities.]

I slowly closed my hand into a fist.

This was absurd.

This was broken.

This... was perfect.

The system message faded, replaced by my updated status window:

[Martial Soul: Sharingan – 1 Tomoe]

[Passive Ability: Imagine Breaker ]

[Soul Power: Undetermined – Awakening Required]

[Inventory: Helmet (Panty-Class), Screaming Frog Box, Spoon(?), Empty Wumpa Core]

[Current Pulls Remaining: 0]

Today was the Spirit Awakening Ceremony.

And I had just pulled something that could slap laws of reality across the face.

Still, I needed to play it cool.

No big reveals.

No glowing fists.

Just a quiet kid with "a strange Martial Soul" and barely any soul power.

If the crystal glowed too brightly, I'd draw attention — the kind Spirit Hall writes reports about.

So I whispered to the system:

"Keep it low. Let the soul power read… one."

...

The village was already alive by the time I stepped out.

Frostleaf Hamlet wasn't used to visitors, but when Spirit Hall sent someone, people moved.

Children lined up in their best tunics. The village square had been swept three times. Someone even painted the village plaque.

I kept to the back, quiet, unnoticed.

Just a background character.

That's all I needed to be.

As I walked, the system pinged again.

[Bonus Pull : Granted in Celebration of Awakening Day]

You received: Jade-Essence Spirit Cultivation Pill (x3)

Aids early-stage soul power refinement.

Enhances recovery, stabilizes breakthroughs.

I nearly tripped.

These were… rare in places like this. Even middle-class sect kids couldn't just casually pop spirit-grade pills like candy.

And now I had three.

I tucked them deep into my sleeve pouch.

This system had no concept of fairness. But I wasn't going to complain.

The village square buzzed as Spirit Hall's two representatives arrived.

"It's time."

I took a deep breath and found a place near the end of the line.

Soul power: 1.

Martial Soul: Hidden.

Helmet: Folded away.

No one was watching me.

Good.

Let them keep it that way.

Because while today was the day everyone else awakened for the first time…

…I already had eyes spinning, one arm crackling with nullification, and a destiny I hadn't even started bending yet.
