Chapter 6 - Chapter 6:The Unknown Path

Volume – 2

"Wake up! Wake up!" a voice echoed in my head.

Slowly, I opened my eyes. A woman stood over me, her face a blur. Panic seized me, and I shot upright, my gaze darting around the unfamiliar surroundings. Where... where am I?

"This is the Elf Kingdom," a man replied. He wore a white robe adorned with shining jewels, his presence radiating an ethereal calm.

Who... who are you people? I stammered, my mind racing. The last thing I remembered was a colossal wall, its shadow looming over me.

"Worry not; I shall assure your safety," he said, offering a kind smile—a genuine warmth I hadn't encountered in what felt like an eternity. "Can you tell us if you were banished, or did you flee from Viridia?"

I was banished…

"And why were you banished?" he probed gently.

A sudden, visceral memory of my father's execution flooded my mind, stealing my breath. My chest tightened, and I struggled to inhale, feeling as though the world was collapsing around me.

"It's alright," the man interjected, his voice soothing. "It's fine; you don't need to tell me." He turned, his gaze sweeping across the nearby attendants. "Take him to the castle."

I was ushered into a royal carriage, pulled by magnificent, unfamiliar beasts—creatures unlike any I had ever seen. The journey was swift, bringing us to an enormous gate, wide enough for an elephant to pass through with ease. Beyond it, a sprawling castle dominated the landscape, its towers crowned with fluttering flags.

I quickly stepped out of the carriage.

"Please make yourself at home," greeted the butler warmly. "This is a modest room that His Majesty has graciously granted you."

Looking toward the room—a bright smile lit up my face.

What should I do to repay His Majesty's kindness? I wondered.

"Kindness does not expect something in return," said the wise butler. "It does not come at a cost."

I entered the room. It was decorated in red—a red bed, red accents, and a window lined with flower pots.

The entire place seemed to overflow with mana. Everywhere I looked, I could sense its presence.

The butler delivered a tray of food and quickly departed. I hadn't eaten for the last three days.

I devoured the meal as if I had never seen food before. Then I lay down on the bed, trying to process everything that had happened.

Now what? I sighed.

What will become of my life now?

The temperature was hot, my eyes were burning, the bed was sucking me into its world

I stared at the ceiling, thoughts rushing in my head. I decided to go out, outside the castle were fields, filled with flowers.

I walked and walked, eventually I saw a light. A light that cured my eyes.

A burst of wind passed in front of me, I saw a girl standing between the flowers. I could only see her hair, reflecting the shining sun.

Perfectly bending with the white lily flowers.

I am just watching her… I snapped out of that moment

She may have been the daughter of the king, so I decided not to interfere.

I went back to the room. I sat down on the bench,I could not express what this feeling was….

It left butterflies in my stomach.

I didn't know what was happening, my heart was racing,it felt like someone attacked my chest.

THE NEXT DAY

The morning light creeps in through the curtains, painting gold across the stone walls of my room.

I sit up slowly. The air is crisp, carrying the faint scent of dew and something sweeter—flowers, maybe.

The castle is quiet. Too quiet.

I got dressed, the cold floor biting at my feet, and stepped out onto the balcony.

The sky is clear. The sun hangs low, gentle for now.

Another day begins. But something feels... different.

Just as I was about to head out, the butler delivered the food to me. I sat down to have another delicious breakfast.

After having a light breakfast I headed out, I went outside the castle hoping to explore the elf city.

Stepping out onto the fields I saw a beautiful girl… the girl I saw yesterday,

My heart began to race like I was fighting something, I couldn't comprehend what this feeling was.

I watch her in the flowers, her white hair shining in the sunlight.

Suddenly, she turns and looks straight at me.

"Creep," she says flatly.

No warning, no pause — just that one word.

Then she turns and walks away, leaving me standing here, face burning, heart pounding.

I want to say something, but the words catch in my throat.

Shit, does she hate me now? Do I look like a creep?

Crap, I should probably get going

I went inside the castle and sat down onto the beautiful gardens, laying down hoping to take a nap.I lay down under a tree,,I could sense the calm breeze.

Suddenly an icicle hit beside me, my pupil widened, my body responded

Catching a breath I look around to see where it came from, behind me was another icicle

I managed to dodge it just in time. Then came a small sharp huge amount of icicles, I gathered the wind in my hand, blew it to change the direction and sent it back to where it had come from.
