No one knew how much time had passed when the door finally creaked open from the outside.
Sebastian walked in with his personal doctor in tow.
Gloria's tears had dried, leaving only a few tear stains mixed with cold sweat on the bed. At first glance, it was hard to tell it they were tears or sweat.
Before the doctor could ask, Gloria spoke up. "My medical records and scans are in my bag."
Sebastian retrieved them from her bag and handed them to the doctor.
The doctor examined the records and then checked Gloria's condition.
"There's some internal damage, but it's not severe enough to require surgery.
It can heal on its own." After the examination, the doctor set up an IV for her and turned to report to Sebastian. "She needs to avoid emotional stress and should rest in bed as much as possible. These two IV bags will be done by tonight. If she takes it easy tomorrow, the pain should be much more manageable."
