XAVIER
"Why didn't you say anything about the man? Why didn't you tell me you saw a sick person?" I asked Rex, who tapped on the documents with his pen nonchalantly.
He shrugged.
"What would you have done if I told you I found someone who was dying of a strange illness no one had seen before and I met him at the elders house?"
"You would think I have gone nuts if I told you I met someone who wasn't a wolf but could hear from the moon goddess." Rex replied.
I was quiet. He was right. I would think he was on drugs or had ganged up with some rogues to ambush me and leave the pack unprotected or distract me.
There was no telling what one could do when they were hungry and Rex wasn't exempted.
"Do you believe he hears from the goddess?" I asked.
When the man told me he heard from the goddess, at first, I didn't believe it, but hearing Rex mention it again and it made me have second thoughts about it.
Rex shrugged.
"Well, he said he does." He replied.
