"The Alpha is here." The maid attending to me informed me before Alpha Xavier's stiletto spread across the door's opening.
I sat up and glanced at the door.
"You may leave." Xavier's voice sounded from the door, directed to the maid with me who scurried out of the room.
Xavier closed the distance and sat beside me on the bed. I had seen him bare a couple of times, but being that close to him made my heart skip like it was the first time.
"Why aren't you in my room? You planned to sleep here if I didn't come to find you?" He asked in a hoarse voice that felt familiar.
I swallowed hard.
"Uhmm… I thought you weren't going to come back tonight."
"I have been around, I just had dinner with Rex." He replied. Running the back of his hand on my cheek.
I swallowed again. I wanted to talk to him about Rex, but I've been holding it in since I didn't want to come off as someone who doesn't want his brother around.
