Chapter 12 - flat lining and interagation again

After the page displaying my new ability disappeared, everything went dark momentarily, and then I was back in my room.

Something was wrong, the room was red, but it was silent, and a creeping feeling went down my spine.

'Brian, where were you?' Steven asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked, but didn't remember hearing them while I was at the saloon.

'Well, you disappeared and we looked like ghosts in the air or something and we couldn't find you,' Mark continued.

"You're guys weren't there," I ask, surprised.

'Where are you talking about? All we know is that the entire facility is panicking because you disappeared out of nowhere,' Steven said.

"There you are, worm. I could not find you or sense you as my avatar and had to make these 2 idiots in their astral form to keep them alive," said a voice before he saw Khonsu.

Before he could reply, the world slowed not to a pause but to a snail's pace.

'What the fuck' he thought slowly, slightly confused, before he remembered what was happening.

He looked around as he had just now noticed the door bursting with guards slowly approaching, but he could barely tell.

He approached his desk, picking it up with barely any force, and it went in the air slowly approaching the ceiling.

"Wow," he said, but he then realized he didn't know how to slow down.

He panicked remembering that one flash comic where he was stuck eternally in flashtime because of a villain.

His heart rate spiked, and everything went back to normal. His desk hit the ground, but his heart wouldn't slow down.

It hurts his chest.

It hurts, it hurts, IT HURTS.

His mind screamed in agony, unable to speak, the pain seizing his entire body.

He collapsed and he heard a familiar calming voice he knew well.

"GET A MEDIC NOW HIS ABILITY ACTIVATED AND IS CAUSING A HEART ATTACK" She shouted and began getting anesthetic ready in a needle from the foundation grade med kit.

It slowed my heart, but it worked too well, as when my heart slowed, my speed keeper tried to speed up and...

Stopped

My heart stopped and I passed out, the last thing I heard was "don't die on me," and before my eyes closed, I saw a thread between me and Symtry go from yellow happy to a color he hadn't seen in a person toward him....

Pink

He then fully lost consciousness.

.....

"GASP" Brian gulped down air like he was drowning moments before.

He felt cold, so cold, except on his hand, it was warm and ... nice.

"Thank God you're awake the doctor said as she rushed to hug me.

The grip was tight.

I blushed hard as it was honestly the first time having intimate contact with anyone for Brian, as he was a loner in his past life.

She then noticed his face and backed off realizing it was making him uncomfortable.

She then continued by speaking.

"The doctors said you might not pull through, and you flat-lined a bunch until we realized your heart wasn't stopping, it was speeding up," she said as if nothing happened.

"What?" He said he was dizzy and still out of it, then it just rushed back.

"Wo wo wo talking bunny, mass murder army guy, cowboy gangster, rotting knight" he began repeating these things over and over again under his breath.

It seemed the system suppressed his panic while playing to make sure it didn't get in the way of him playing.

His silver-like speed didn't help him, and it made him talk so fast that all the glass in the room began shaking.

The it shattered not only the glass but the voices in his head...

They were gone.

"No, no, no, no, no," he said out loud.

His friends... they were gone.

Tears built up.

"BRING THEM BACK," he screamed, the whole room shaking and the floors turning to mud, random objects flying across the room with agitation.

As the room began attacking with a tornado of noise and deadly glass flying everywhere, the eye could see. One voice, just on, made everything stop.

"BRIAN," A pained voice of someone he had grown to have a connection with screamed.

"SYMTRY" He rushed over and picked her up as she was cut all over sinking into the floor.

"Please call me Yoselin," she said as she coffed up blood.

He had just noticed something horrifying.

Rebar had pierced her chest.

"No, this can't be happening!!!" He panicked before he remembered.

"I'm gonna pull out the rebar," he said, trying to prepare her for the pain.

"What!?! No, that's stupid- aagghhhhhhh." She was cut off by the extreme pain of his removing the bar of steel.

"Don't worry, I can fix this," he said,d, trying to calm himself this time.

"Greater health," he said, his voice empowering the room, shaking at the very time of his voice.

She noticed after the room stopped shaking and the floors as solid as normal and the pain gone that all that was left was a man, a broken man, one with tears down his face, sitting there staring at her.

She rushed to engulf him in a hug that would normally crush a lesser man's spine.

"I just couldn't lose you too," he whispered to her, almost not catching it.

"What are you talking about? " she asked, confused about who else he meant.

"They're gone," he said this time not loud enough for her to hear.

"What?" She asked.

"They're gone" he shouted to the sky with anger in his voice.

"Oh, Brian, I'm so so sorry," She apologized, squeezing him tighter.

They just sat there for hours her comforting him with a Buding affection.

Eventually, he stopped crying as he looked up, and the room seemed to change around him.

He saw a window and Yoselin noticed as well.

Before he could speak she started.

"What the hell is going on here" she shouted at the window with a bad feeling.

"We have found that your effect on SCP-8483 is so powerful that you are now seen as another variant of said SCP; therefore, you must be contained along with the thing," an old raspy voice said in a commanding tone, bearing no argument.
