Chapter 13 - EP.13 – Shadows Don’t Lie

Late into the night, Jiwoon stood at the rooftop of a half-collapsed church. The city below looked quiet—but it was never innocent.

Ever since bonding with Nyxfang, the Sinbound Blade, the world had changed. Or maybe, he had.

He could now sense not just sin… but intention.

He could tell when someone meant to betray.

Even before they acted.

"Intent. Guilt. Regret. They're written in your shadow now."

That night, he followed the trail of one shadow—twisting unnaturally along an alley.

The Traitor Among the Null

Within the Null Order, someone had begun leaking coordinates of safehouses.

Three had been destroyed. Survivors were few.

Mira handed Jiwoon a cracked tablet.

"Someone inside… is working for the system," she said bitterly.

"We call them Ghost Feeders. We never catch them."

But Jiwoon smiled.

"Shadows don't lie."

Interrogation Without Questions

He cornered a suspicious Null technician—Sung Minjae—who had perfect attendance and a conveniently wiped access log.

The man laughed. "You don't have proof."

Jiwoon didn't answer.

He simply summoned Nyxfang, then activated its new passive:

[Shadow Echo: Triggered]

"If your sin is over 30%… I see what you did."

Minjae's shadow twisted violently—showing a glimpse of him inserting a data spike into Mira's comms hub.

The traitor gasped.

"What the hell are you?!"

"The system gave me rules," Jiwoon said coldly.

"Now I make my own."

The Sentence

Jiwoon didn't kill him.

Instead, he took Minjae to a Sin Mirror—a forbidden relic in the Null tunnels.

It reflected your guilt back at you… until it consumed you.

"This mirror," Jiwoon whispered, "shows your sin forever.

And you'll be trapped inside it until you want to confess."

"You can't do this!" Minjae screamed.

"This isn't justice!"

"No," Jiwoon said, eyes burning red.

"This is balance."
