Chapter 6: The Summons and the Training Plan

Kyle thought that if he was going to access the library, he needed to confront his father and ask for his permission. As Kyle was forming the third mana circle in his room, he heard footsteps approaching and quickly hid his mana. The butler entered the room and greeted him, saying, "Good morning, young master, the patriarch calls you to attend a family meeting along with your brothers."

Kyle got ready and headed to the meeting room. When he entered, he greeted the Patriarch, and there were his older brother Alex, his second sister Melina, his third brother Zuho, and his fourth brother, Gosho, who was the same age as Kyle. The Patriarch's wives were seated in rows.

The Patriarch spoke with his clear, cold voice: "Our clan will prepare a grand tournament for the heirs. Each of you will have to demonstrate your talent. This tournament will be held to prepare you for the great tournament of the Five Clans." The Patriarch mentioned that: "the tournament will be next week, so prepare well."

Kyle began to think, and at that moment he stood up and said, "Excuse me, Patriarch, but could I not participate in this tournament?" All the other wives started laughing, and Kyle's mother worried, knowing her son was weak and sickly.

The Patriarch frowned and said, "And why don't you want to participate? It has to be a valid excuse; don't tell me it's just because you're weak."

Kyle, with coldness, replied, "I've never tried participating in martial arts, so I think being a spectator would be better, so I could learn more."

Alex was surprised to see such coldness in a 7-year-old boy and said, "What are you really hiding, brother?"

Kyle looked at his brother and gave a smile, saying, "I have no secrets, brother, I'm just getting used to our family's traditions."

Alex stood up and said, "Since you don't know anything about martial arts, how about I start teaching you?" Kyle was surprised to hear that; he couldn't refuse, since he had said he wanted to learn, and if he refused, it would be as if he were lying.

Kyle thought and decided to train with his brother, but he wouldn't show his talent; he would stumble until his brother gave up. Kyle said, "It would be a pleasure to have you as my trainer, brother."

The two headed to the training room. There, Alex picked up a sword and began to explain to Kyle what a sword was and how to use it. Alex instructed him on posture and grip. Kyle feigned clumsiness, tripping over his own feet and dropping the sword. Alex sighed with resignation but continued the lesson.

At that moment, Gosho, the fourth brother, arrived and said, "Ah, big brother! Oh, look who's here, brother Kyle...!" Gosho looked at Kyle and scoffed, "I'm just passing by, and you, are you still weak?"

Alex intervened and separated them, and continued training both. Kyle kept failing, while Gosho, a genius who showed his talent with the sword at a young age, displayed his skill.
