Chapter 292 - Find G.G

The Bloody Baron's cold, ghostly form hovered just above the abandoned classroom floor, the air around him growing heavier with memory.

"Their magic," the Baron said slowly, his voice echoing faintly in the stone-walled room, "was like that of the Founders—but stronger. Unnervingly so."

He floated around Cael , Face still emotionless . "Ravenclaw never trusted her. She was always the most suspicious one—sharp-eyed, constantly thinking. She was always in constant guard against her ,a witch who arrived out of nowhere, offering aid without asking for anything in return… that alone raised alarm for her. She thought it unnatural and Unsettling."

Baron's gaze darkened with memory. "But that mysterious witch helped them nonetheless—helped build Hogwarts, helped gather magical children from across the lands. Still, Ravenclaw never stopped watching her. She put precautions in place. Protective enchantments, hidden wards, contingency plans… just in case."

He drew a slow breath. "The witch… she was unlike any they had known. She could vanish and reappear without the faintest sound. She walked on water as if it were solid ground. She spoke to animals—not merely in whispers or signs—but spoke, and they understood her. They answered back."

"Hufflepuff once asked to learn that magic from her. Begged her, even. But the woman refused."

Baron gave a small smile, tinged with awe and sadness. "Godric Gryffindor… he proposed to her. More than once, actually. She was older than him, but he didn't care. And every time, she'd only smile at him—never said yes, never said no."

He paused. "Even today, some people who knew about her say that after Godric left Hogwarts, he went to her. Sought her out. And he was never seen again—not in the magical world. Even the ancient ghosts whisper that he followed her… and vanished."

Baron looked out of the window to the snowy grounds of Hogwarts . "So yes. Her magic was strange. Ancient. And far beyond what we understand. Wizards feared her. Some even tried to ambush her for the magic she possessed . But none could defeat her."

Carl, who had been listening in silence, finally spoke. "Do you know any notable figure from that family?"

Bloody Baron , floating nearby, shrugged. "No names. But one thing I do know… whenever something major happened in the magical world—whether it was the rise of a powerful figure, a dark wizard, or a war—someone from that family was always behind it. Always."

His voice dropped. "That family—Valoryn—they were always there, hidden in the shadows. For every major upheaval in the last thousand years, there was someone from that line involved. But for the past three centuries? Nothing. Silence. As if they vanished. And if they are still around… they've done a bloody good job hiding."

Cael scoffed and thought to himself . 'Wonderful. So now I'm apparently the heir of some secret Illuminati-style family that's been pulling strings in the wizarding world for centuries?'

Baron didn't smile. His voice was cold and serious. "Listen to me, boy. If this family really exists—and if they contacted you—it means they didn't know about your existence before. But now they do. And that's dangerous."

He hovered closer. "One rule they always followed: never abandon their own. Never. Not even the dead were forgotten. I've never seen a single one of them marry into the other twenty-eight Sacred Families. They kept their bloodline pure. Contained and Hidden."

"If they contacted you, and they didn't know about your existence , it means you weren't raised by them . You weren't taught their beliefs, their traditions, their goals. To them, you could be a risk. A loose end. Or…"

Baron's eyes glinted with something ancient and grim.

"…or a piece they want to bring back into play, of course if they deem you worthy ."

He floated a little higher, the candlelight casting strange shadows. "So you need to be careful. Very careful. You don't know who they are. You don't know what they want. If you really are one of them, they'll do one of two things: remove you… or reshape you into what they need."

Baron pointed a spectral finger toward him. "Never speak their name aloud again. Not to anyone. Understand?"

Silence fell for a moment. Then Bloody Baron continued.

"If You want to know why they reappeared after 300 years? I don't know. But during Grindelwald's rise, there were whispers. Whispers that a powerful ally stood behind him. One never seen, never named. And some thought it was them. The Valoryns."

"But some individuals dismissed it. They said the family was extinct. No evidence. Just superstition."

Cael sat still, processing everything.

"And now," Boreham added, "you—someone with no history, no connection, suddenly bearing their mark and a letter of someone who claims to be your father, this is a bit concerning ."

He floated back, drifting toward the darkened window.

"If you truly want answers… then find Grindelwald. He would know. If anyone does, it's him."

And Cael groaned. "Great. Now I have to travel all the way to Nurmengard and visit the great first Dark Lord."

Baron whipped around, his eyes burning with contempt. "Don't throw around titles like that," he snapped. "He wasn't a Dark Lord. He had ideals. Purpose. He believed that wizards should not bow to Muggles. He fought for that belief. He lost. But don't lump him with those who only sought chaos and fear. He was no Voldemort."

Cael raised his brows but said nothing.

Baron voice softened but still icy. "If that family really exists then they certainly did help Grindelwald, and they're back… you're walking on a tightrope, boy. Tread lightly."

He turned to leave, but paused at the door.

"And don't—don't—go to Dumbledore."

Cael blinked. "What? Why?"

Baron didn't look back. "Because if there's one person in this world you don't want involved… it's him. Trust me. If you value your freedom and not be manipulated in his grand plans and schemes , do not speak of this to Dumbledore."

With that, Bloody Baron vanished into the stone corridor, leaving Cael sitting alone in the abandoned classroom. The torchlight flickered on the stone walls as silence pressed in again.

Cael leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling.

So now he had to find a way to reach Gellert Grindelwald. To face one of the most feared figures in wizarding history. To ask him questions that might get him killed.

But he had to know.

He had to know who the Valoryns really were.

And more importantly… who the Original owner of this body really was.
