Rohan stared at his phone like it was a cursed relic. Every time the screen lit up, hope bloomed—only to be crushed when it wasn't her.

He hadn't seen Ishita since she walked out that night, leaving the burned saree and a silence louder than any argument they'd ever had.

And now?

Nothing.

Not even a "seen."

đŸ–„ïž ZedCorp – Rohan's Office, 11:37 AM

She hadn't come to work either.

He checked. Twice.

Told HR he was verifying employee leave statuses.

Lied to himself that he was fine.

Dev finally rolled his chair closer.

"She needs space, bro."

"She's not responding. That's not space. That's
 absence."

"You burned her dead mom's saree. I'd ghost you too."

"Thanks, Dev. Deeply comforting."

"I mean—" Dev softened, "—she'll come around. She's just hurt. Not gone."

"What if it's the same thing this time?"

Dev didn't answer.

🏹 Later That Evening – "Blue Orchid Hotel" Lobby

Rohan wasn't sure why he was there.

Maybe nostalgia.

Maybe guilt.

Maybe because the hotel staff guy, Ajay, had once said something that stuck with him.

So he walked into the place where it all began. The same blue wallpaper. The same soft jazz music. The same front desk.

And—miracle of miracles—Ajay was there.

"Long time, sir," Ajay smiled. "Still sharing rooms with strangers?"

Rohan forced a laugh.

"I messed up, Ajay."

"Love mess or life mess?"

"Both."

Ajay nodded like he was a relationship monk.

"She's the same girl?"

"Yeah."

"And she hasn't left you. She's just waiting for you to show up the right way."

"How do you know?"

"Because she looked at you like she already knew the ending."

"And what if I ruined the story?"

Ajay handed him a small napkin. Scribbled on it:"You don't rewrite love. You continue it."

🌃 Back at the Apartment – 10:52 PM

Dev was on the balcony, eating Maggi. Again.

Rohan sat on the floor, holding the ring Ishita never got to give.

Not crying.

Not begging.

Just
 still.

Then, his phone buzzed.

Ishita:

Please stop texting. I just need time.

Not "I'm done."Not "Leave me alone."Not "We're over."

Just
 time.

And Rohan could live with that.

For now.
