Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: The Reunion

Among the numerous boats surrounding the island, a relatively large vessel carried a man holding a woman in his arms.

The woman gazed at the distant green glow and spoke, "Brother Hao, what do you think is over there in that green light? Why is Luo Feng so concerned about it? Maybe we shouldn't get too close. Let's wait until Shura arrives. He seems pretty formidable."

Chen Zihao's expression darkened at her words. "Just some lucky guy named Shura who happened to get his hands on resources. If he doesn't hand them over when we meet, he'll have to answer to this." He patted the pistol at his waist meaningfully.

In these times, nothing could withstand a bullet's impact. If Shura proved uncooperative, Chen Zihao wouldn't hesitate to give him a taste of lead.

"Full speed ahead toward that green glow," Chen Zihao commanded. "Since Shura's so invested in this place, that 'friend' he mentioned must be a woman. Could it be the person he's been searching for?"

Luo Feng watched impassively as the wooden boat accelerated toward the island. Three minutes later, the massive landmass came into view—but his attention remained fixed on the glowing green light nearby.

On a wooden raft lay a familiar figure. Luo Feng recognized her instantly: Tang Xueying, the person he'd longed to see.

Observing the approaching boats, Luo Feng did something unprecedented—he sent a voice message through the chat channel:

"Anyone within five hundred meters of my woman will die."

The announcement sent shockwaves through the channel.

"Someone said that raft carried Shura's beloved, but I didn't believe it until now," one user commented.

"Earlier I saw threats about taking her hostage against Shura," another added. "This must have pushed him over the edge."

"From what I know, Chen Zihao leads over a dozen boats there," warned a third. "His faction dominates that island's waters. Even Shura can't take on so many alone. He's walking into the lion's den."

Chen Zihao smirked at the threat. "Empty words, Shura. Hand over all your resources, and I'll spare her. She's barely a hundred meters from me now. You've got until I reach her to decide."

"Brother Hao!" someone suddenly cried. "Look over there—what's that streak of lightning racing across the water? It looks like... a Lightning Boat?"

Chen Zihao turned his gaze toward the cluster of lightning upon hearing his subordinate's words. Though he had no idea what it was, his expression suddenly twisted in alarm—because the Lightning Boat was charging straight toward them.

Terrified, he immediately shouted, "Quick, dodge that Lightning Boat!"

Despite his order, the boat was too fast. In an instant, it tore through the midst of their fleet and abruptly exploded.

A deafening blast.

Dozens of people aboard more than a dozen ships were obliterated in an instant. Of the fifty men they had brought, forty were now dead.

Chen Zihao was luckier—his wooden boat was only grazed by the explosion, sparing his life. But as he surveyed the devastation around him, the sight of floating corpses left him utterly stunned.

Then came a scene that horrified him even more.

Without warning, a man appeared standing atop the green-glowing wooden raft. The raft then began swiftly drifting toward him.

To Chen Zihao, Luo Feng seemed like the Grim Reaper himself, gliding closer with death in his wake.

Luo Feng stopped before Chen Zihao and spoke coldly, "Didn't you say you wanted my supplies? That was my Epic Ship—consider it a gift. What else do you want?"

Chen Zihao's earlier bravado had vanished, replaced by sheer terror at Luo Feng's entrance. The man had detonated an Epic Ship without hesitation, wiping out nearly all of his men. Even if he survived now, his forces were annihilated. The thought kindled a deep hatred for Luo Feng in his heart—though he masked it, his face contorted in fear.

"Shura, I—I was just curious," he stammered. "I've never seen a treasure chest glowing green like that, so I couldn't resist taking a look. And those threats earlier… I wasn't in my right mind. I realize my mistake now. Please, spare me. I'll give you all my supplies! My brother, Chen Xu, is exploring this island and has found many treasures—he'll pay any price for my life. Oh, and I just obtained a Treasure Map Fragment. I'll hand it over to you. Please, take it as an apology."

Luo Feng's eyes narrowed in shock.

No way… he has a Treasure Map Fragment too?

Earlier, Luo Feng had killed Wang Hao, who also possessed one. Could this really be a coincidence? If so, those who held these fragments were truly cursed.

Suspicion flaring, Luo Feng activated a Clairvoyance Charm and peered into the pocket Chen Zihao's right hand was stealthily reaching toward.

What he saw sent a jolt through him.

A gun?

A pistol?

A Desert Eagle?

In that split second, Luo Feng's reflexes kicked in. With a flick of his wrist, his Legendary Grappling Hook shot forth, snatching the weapon from Chen Zihao's pocket and returning it to his grasp in an instant.

Luo Feng looked at the Desert Eagle in his hand and said with a smile, "You said you were here for the Treasure Map Fragment, so why are you reaching for a pistol?

Do you want to kill me?"

Chen Zihao was terrified by Luo Feng's unpredictable skills and the sight of the gun in his hand—so much so that he nearly wet himself.

He had indeed just been planning to use the pistol to kill Luo Feng
