Chapter 2 - The Betrayal

A long time ago, kurokawa yuu was not feared. He was respected, even admired. People called him a genius. He had a gift for strategy and thinking ahead. Some said he could win a battle without even drawing his sword.

He was part of a team of heroes. They trained together, laughed together, and fought side by side. They called themselves the Twelve. And among them, Yuu was the quiet one who always knew the right move.

But something changed.

Yuu started seeing things others couldn't. He noticed the patterns, the repeating events, the strange coincidences. He questioned the prophecies. He asked why some victories felt too easy and why some enemies seemed like they were following a script.

The others began to fear him.

One day, the Council of Heroes summoned him. They wore shining robes and spoke with holy voices. They told him he was dangerous. They accused him of trying to change fate. They said his thoughts were dark and unnatural.

"We cannot trust someone who sees beyond the path of light," the High Priest said.

Yuu didn't fight back. He looked each of them in the eyes and simply asked, "If you fear questions, is your truth so weak?"

He was stripped of his title, his name erased from the history scrolls, and cast into exile. The people who once called him brother now acted like he never existed.

Alone, he wandered.

Through broken lands and cursed ruins, he searched for answers. He slept in abandoned temples and listened to the whispers of old spirits. Until one day, deep beneath the world, he found it: a hidden place, ancient and forgotten.

The Temple of Hunger.

Inside, there were no gods—only knowledge. Endless walls of glowing script, filled with secrets about the world. About how everything was controlled. How the system ruled fate. How even heroes were pawns.

There, in the dark, he accepted the truth.

And the system accepted him.

As the magic flowed into him, Yuu felt no pain. Only purpose.

He was no longer a forgotten hero.

He was becoming something far greater.
