Chapter 9 - 5:The Quirk Analyst [Mineta]! PT. 1

New Chapter! Hope you enjoy!

So, sorry for the delay, college has been an unfaithful bastard. But, I mainly took some time off after reading the reviews and I wanted to improve my storytelling and writing. I won't be rewriting this book until I finish it, cause that won't be fair to any of you and I want to improve with each chapter I write. So please, comment and review, I want to know my flaws as I write and only my loyal readers can do that for me. Thanks for the power stones also, I really appreciate it. It'll take a while to deliver new chapters because of college but I'll do my best. Thank you.

[NOTE: Most of the analysis in this chapter takes inspiration from the BNHA fanfiction, "Give Me Something for the Pain and Let Me Fight" by DarknoMaGi. Check them out on Ao3.]

–APRIL–

[U.A Gym]

[Izuku POV]

'Banjo: Alright, what's your game here kiddo?'

'Yoichi: Yeah, what's up with the speed up boot camp?' He asked the question all of the other Vestiges were probably thinking.

'These guys have insane amounts of potential with their Quirks, a few of them at least. But they also have mediocre ways of using them, only a strong few actually use their Quirks as intended. If they keep going in this direction, none of them will be able to lay even a finger on me during the U.A Sports Festival. Hell, I'm led to believe Class 1B may have better Quirks due to how most of them use it.'

'Nana: Well, you're not wrong. Especially after hearing about Yaoyorozu's Quirk, there's a lot of things wrong about it from the memories you shared with us.'

'Banjo: Yeah, like how the fuck is she not fat or chubby?!'

'Bruce: Don't think that's what she meant buddy.'

'Anyway the point is, I basically reincarnated into this world as their protagonist, both literally and figuratively. Until some other worldly being explains why, the least I can do is make sure none of them suffer through the Final War because they didn't have great Quirk uses. So, I'm gonna save them as best as I can.' I thought with a determined grin.

'Banjo: And Mineta?'

'I mean, I do see hope in Mineta, more than Bakatsuki. But honestly, he's just here to confirm a theory of mine. If it doesn't work, well, there's always doing what Knuckleduster did and becoming a vigilante.' I mentally shrug.

Tsuyu: "Midoriya, you've been staring at us in a weird way for 5 minutes. It's creepy, stop."

'You didn't need to be so blunt.' I thought with a sweat drop.

"Right, sorry about that, Tsu. Let's begin. Now, Quirks are basically superpowers we developed completely out of nowhere, and no you cannot tell me otherwise cause how in the normal hell is a 'regular human' surviving half the shit you guys can throw at them or receive? They can't and won't, simple and short. Which is why we evolved past our limits to become what we are today."

I turn to them with a fixed stare. "So, don't always think a Quirk is only all about Physics, Maths, all that shit. It's not. Sure, there's some Biology needed in some areas but all your abilities are still, in a way, part of that non-fiction department."

Ochaco: "So what you're saying, is that even though our Quirks are mainly linked to our biology and physics of its nature, it's still fictional?"

"Obviously. No normal person can yeet a person into space with a single touch, sweet cheeks." I throw a casual wink at her direction.

Ochaco: 'S-sweet cheeks?!' She thought with a small blush as she cupped her red face in both hands.

Lida: "That's a very interesting way to look at it, Midoriya." He said while chopping the air with Jackie Chan level skills.

Mineta: "I still don't get why I'm here...cause if you're going to analyze Quirks, mine isn't worth your time..." He murmured out loud with a dejected look.

"And that's where you're wrong...and why you're going to be our first volunteer. Give him a round of applause, folks!" I said with a small smile as I grabbed Mineta by his hand and pulled the stunned grapevine to a desk with a few medical items on it.

Mineta: "Eh? Oi?!" He shouted as he struggled.

At least, I think he's struggling. The dude is really light.

"Now, observe. Mineta's Quirk allows him to grow purple bouncy balls from his head, pause, and throw them at his target, allowing for them to stick to any surface they land on except himself."

Mineta: "Yeah, that's the idea."

"Great, we understand his Quirk. Now, I'm gonna need you to give me your hand, Mineta. I need your blood." I say with a bloodthirsty grin as I pull out a small scapel.

Mineta: "WHAT?!!! HELL NO!!" He shrieked as he tried to scramble away.

"Relax. I'm only taking a small drop to confirm something."

Mineta: "What the heck would you need to confirm with my fucking blood, you creep?!" The fucking irony.

"A personal hypothesis of mine. That your Quirk comes from your own blood."

...

...

...

Mineta: "...eh?"

Ochaco: "W-what do you mean, Midoriya?" She asked while slowly raising her left arm up.

Lida: "Good question, Uraraka. Please elaborate further, Midoriya."

"Well, you see, whenever Mineta throws his balls," 'Pause.' "from his head too much, he bleeds out. Why? Because his head is transforming all the blood leaking out to his balls," 'Pause.' "each time it's exposed to air. And due to being rapidly removed a lot, he's forcibly reopening those old wounds which are still healing, thus causing him to bleed out more from overuse of his Quirk."

There was a short pause for a while. Until—

Mineta: "Wait...that actually kind of makes sense...?"

"Of course it was, I was the one talking." I say without paying much attention to him as I grab Mineta's left palm and swiftly slit it open with a sharp sterile scapel, letting the blood drip out of the small, open cut.

Mineta: "OW! DUDE, WHAT THE HELL?!" He screamed with some tears at the corner of his eyes as he tried and failed to pull his hand out of my grasp.

Lida, being maybe the only normal person here, got up and immediately started running his mouth faster than his own legs.

Lida: "MIDORIYA! Hurting a classmate like that for no reason is very wrong and an outrageous move!"

But I didn't listen.

I was more focused on how Mineta's blood was reacting to the open air, but instead it's from a slit on his head. And sure enough, it started to become a little more solid, stickier and bouncier.

I smirked. "Bingo."
