Nathaniel Fu's broad chest rose and fell sharply. He forced out a single word through clenched teeth."Get out."
Celia immediately stood up. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed something in his private lounge — a small safe, discreetly tucked into the corner.
Could her jade pendant be inside?
She quickly looked away and left without another word.
Behind her, Nathaniel slammed his fist against the wall, his face twisted with anger.
When Celia returned to the presidential suite, Zhou Jin glanced at her."Did you have a fight with President Fu?"
She said nothing.
Zhou Jin slowly took something out from his desk drawer and slid it across the table toward her.
It was a photograph, but facedown, so she couldn't tell who it was.
She reached out to turn it over. "Whose picture is this?"
"President Fu's so-called white moonlight — the woman he's never forgotten."
Celia froze, lifting her gaze to him.
Zhou Jin reached out and ruffled her hair. "Celia, did you ever look into Nathaniel's past before getting involved with him? You don't even know his history, yet you dare to toy with the place where his first love used to be. That's dangerous — and easy to get burned."
Her eyes fell back to the photo. She had never known he had… someone like that.
So there was another woman, hidden away in his heart.
"Do I… look like her?"
Was that why Nathaniel seemed drawn to her face? Because she resembled this white moonlight?
Zhou Jin didn't answer. "The photo's right there. You can look for yourself."
Celia hesitated for several seconds, then pulled her hand back. She didn't want to see it.
"Celia, tell me honestly — you're not actually in love with him, are you?"
She shook her head. "No, Brother. I'm only with him because of the jade pendant. He took it from me."
"Did you find it?"
"There's a safe in Nathaniel's private lounge. I'm almost certain it's inside, but after tonight's argument, I can't get close."
Zhou Jin thought for a moment. "Then we'll have to get it back another way. I'll send a girl to get close to him — a honey trap."
"A… honey trap?" Her voice wavered. "No."
"Why not?"
"He's not that kind of man. It won't work."
"How do you know? Didn't he keep you as his mistress? I think he has a thing for innocent college girls. I could find someone who fits the part."
"Brother, it won't work!" Celia's voice was firm as she turned and left.
After she was gone, Zhou Jin made a call. A few minutes later, his personal secretary arrived, leading in He Xiaolian — the nineteen-year-old beauty from University A.
She was fresh-faced, with an air of innocence. Though she lacked Celia's cool, striking presence, she had a soft, vulnerable look that stirred a man's protective instincts — the kind of girl high-powered executives liked to keep by their side.
Zhou Jin studied her for a moment and nodded in approval.
The next evening, the scandal in the media was still brewing, and everyone was waiting to see Celia's mysterious boyfriend appear.
She had been restless all day, so when Jess invited her to the Paradise Bar, she agreed.
"Celia, what are you drinking tonight?" Jess asked as they slid into a booth.
But Celia didn't answer — her eyes had already found a familiar figure in a secluded private room. Nathaniel Fu sat at the head of a table with a few senior executives, a cigarette smoldering between his fingers.
Beside him was a young woman in a revealing strapless top and a miniskirt, her figure impossible to ignore.
Jess leaned closer, her voice low. "Isn't that He Xiaolian, the campus queen from University A? Looks like Nathaniel's found himself a new fling."
Celia looked away.
"Celia, you have to admit — Nathaniel really does seem to like college girls. And this He Xiaolian… she looks a lot like you."
Celia's lips curled faintly. Like me? Or like the woman he can't forget?
