Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: The Huang Family’s Three Ghosts, Creator God Qian Xunji

Chapter 64: The Huang Family's Three Ghosts, Creator God Qian Xunji

Qian Renxue asked, "Mom, aren't you going in?"

Ah Yin gently shook her head. "Xue'er, Mommy won't go in. I'll wait out here for you."

Once Qian Daoliu, the six great offerings, Qian Xunji, and Qian Renxue all entered the Douluo Hall, the doors closed behind them.

Stepping into the Douluo Hall was as if entering an entirely different space, brimming with an intense atmosphere of solemn majesty.

Inside the Douluo Hall, there were no ornate decorations; everything was formed from unadorned stone, though anyone looking closely would notice a faint golden glow emanating from these seemingly rustic blocks. Touching them, one would sense a strange energy swirling in the palm.

Aside from the entrance, three of the Douluo Hall's walls were lined with squares of sparkling golden plaques. Each plaque was about half a meter high and a foot wide, inscribed simply with three or four large characters, each reading "-Title- Douluo.

In the Hall's center stood a statue identical to the one in the Hall of Elders: a ten-meter-tall, radiant golden figure, with three pairs of outstretched wings, brandishing a massive golden sword pointed toward the heavens. Most strikingly, wisps of pale golden flame seemed to swirl around that blade. This sculpture appeared to have a consciousness all its own.

"All right, Xue'er, let's test your innate soul power," Qian Daoliu said softly, smiling at Qian Renxue, bringing out a crystal ball somewhat larger than the ones in the Martial Soul Awakening Hall.

"Yes, Grandpa." Qian Renxue placed her hand on the crystal ball, which immediately flared with bright light, leaving no hint of darkness behind.

"Level twenty—innate full soul power of twenty!"

Qian Daoliu beamed with delight, as did the six offerings. Qian Xunji showed no surprise at all. Aside from her dual martial souls, Ah Yin's talent was not inferior to Bibi Dong's, and from her earliest years, Qian Renxue had grown healthy through constant strengthening. Her body and bones had been greatly enhanced, so a twentieth-rank innate soul power was no shock.

"Excellent—wonderful! Xue'er, you're our Qian Family's best hope in generations of inheriting the Divine Ancestor's position!"

Qian Renxue blinked in confusion. "Divine Ancestor's position? What's that?"

"When the time is right, Grandpa will explain everything to you. Come on—Grandpa will personally take you to get your soul rings."

Qian Daoliu stooped and stretched his arms wide. He was eager to establish a close bond with Qian Renxue and make up for the affection she lacked over these six years.

He led Qian Renxue to the Qian Family's ancestral estate, where the clan's side branches resided and where certain soul beasts were kept. Like the three top sects, the Qian Clan also raised soul beasts. Through countless generations of study, they discovered which types of soul rings best fit the Angel martial soul's needs, then captured and bred those specific soul beasts.

They came to a primeval forest saturated with spirit energy. The beasts within ranged from the bottom rung—like Blue Silver Grass or Soft-Boned Rabbits—to mostly holy, light-attribute soul beasts under ten thousand years old, for once a soul beast reached ten thousand years, it gained strong intelligence and might become dominant—an obstacle to the others' cultivation. Such powerful creatures would then be removed from this forest and placed elsewhere.

Entering, Qian Daoliu swiftly located a suitable beast by means of his Limit Douluo spiritual power. He flickered, halting before that soul beast, and said, "Xue'er, how about this Radiant Unicorn? It's right around four hundred years old."

Qian Xunji's voice suddenly cut in: "Hah, good thing I came along. Old man, you'd have Xue'er pick such a low-year ring? You'll be wasting her talent!"

"You insolent brat, what did you say?" Qian Daoliu glared in fury. Xunji had used casual disrespect in calling him "old man," and accused him of squandering Qian Renxue's talents. Didn't he see how deeply Qian Daoliu valued this granddaughter?

Xunji didn't back down. "Am I wrong? Have you kept an eye on Xue'er's growth these past six years? Do you know that ever since Wuhun Hall got its hands on the Ice-Fire Yin-Yang Well, she's taken an incalculable amount of herbs? Her body's leaps beyond anything your generation had at her age, but you wouldn't know. You've been in the Elder Hall taking it easy. What do you know?"

Qian Daoliu felt his cheeks heat with shame. "Then how high do you propose her first soul ring be, you little brat?"

Qian Xunji was blunt. "The minimum is a thousand-year ring!"

"That's too dangerous—are you trying to kill my granddaughter?"

"Tch, you don't know anything. We've got data and real trials to back this up. I left seclusion half a year ago and had Xue'er spar with our younger generation. She physically overpowers even advanced soul masters in a direct test of strength— including Four Uncle's grandson. Typically, people figure the greatest feasible second ring is around one thousand years. So her first ring being a thousand-year ring? Why the hell not?"

After a torrent of words, they eventually compromised: Qian Daoliu absolutely refused to let her first ring exceed a thousand years. In the end, they decided on around nine-hundred-ninety-nine years.

Xunji sighed; dealing with Qian Daoliu's outdated mindset was exhausting. In his eyes, it was typical of the incompetent upper echelon in Wuhun Hall.

Later, Qian Renxue's first two rings—one close to a thousand years, the second nearly four thousand—gave her the first skill Angelic Wings and second skill Angelic Assault.

Without Xunji realizing it, far above Douluo Star's sky, amid drifting clouds resembling an immortal paradise—indeed, in that realm of "gods"—and even higher among the stars, a lone figure quietly observed everything. His face was ordinary, his grin somewhat sleazy, and his name silly: Huang Jia San Gui—"The Three Ghosts of the Huang Family."

Locking his gaze upon Xunji, who seemed to be muttering under his breath in Douluo's lower realm, Huang Jia San Gui wore a fawning expression. "It appears my master wants to rewrite the storyline. If that's what he wishes, so be it. Creator God Qian Xunji…"

Qian Xunji and Huang Jia San Gui both transcended the God Realm. Qian Xunji was actually the Creator God, while Huang Jia San Gui was also a Creator God but far weaker. Qian Xunji had sealed his memory and cultivation to experience life in the Douluo Continent. The moment of death would unseal everything, returning him to the pinnacle.

Originally, Qian Xunji had set the story so he would seduce Bibi Dong, Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong… ensuring every Douluo native's irrational quirks were controlled by illusions. Using Douluo's power, he would help his son Tang San, that "commoner prodigy," achieve ascendancy to God-King in the God Realm. By means of illusions conjured by the Creator, not even gods at the primary rank would see through it, all the way until Xunji's "death."

Yet for some unknown reason, events had changed. Bibi Dong's arrival altered the script. With no recourse, Huang Jia San Gui personally intervened, employing illusions to force events back on track.

Now, overhearing Xunji's desire to personally refine Tang San, loyal subordinate Huang Jia San Gui naturally obeyed.

Anyway, all of reality belonged to him. Twisting or rewriting parts was his prerogative.

PS: The addition of the "Creator God Qian Xunji" angle was unavoidable—since the new extraneous segment in the original has Qian Xunji seducing Bibi Dong, Yu Xiaogang, and Liu Erlong. If Qian Xunji wasn't the Creator God, there'd be no explaining it.

As for Bibi Dong's stance, let the readers decide if they believe that side story or see her as a traitorous ingrate. Each is free to interpret it.

Again, keep your hearts light, don't be so sullen—reading novels should be relaxing. Please don't fixate on the story's illogical aspects or wonder about multiple Tang Sans in different arcs. This is just a fan creation—go with the flow. The protagonist romances a few characters, raises kids, wins big, and has a good time. I promise it'll be satisfying, as my overall plan is already set. "Enjoyment is what matters."
