'Mahi? Mahi.'
I tapped her face trying to get her to wake up.
Shit. shit. Shit.
I called the doctor who came 15 minutes later. My doctor examined her and told me that she
shows signs of starvation and domestic violence. She told me that some of the wounds were
fresh and some were healing and told me to bring her to the hospital so she could run more
tests, to check if there are any internal issues.
Was it that serious? Ooh God. I should have gone to London when Rachel called me. I shouldn't
have agreed to go on tour.
Shit.
I didn't think it was this bad, but then again, anything is possible with Thane. Everytime Mahira
has a problem it just always has to be related to Thane one way or another. When Rachel called
me I didn't think things were this bad.
I regret not going this time. Somehow it's my fault as well but then Mahira, why did she tolerate
everything. All these scars on her body.
I decided to cook something for her in case she was hungry when she woke up. After three
hours Mahira woke up and I was done cooking dinner.
'What happened? Did I faint again?'
I looked at her with so many questions dancing around in my head.
'What do you mean again? You mean to tell me that this happens to you often.'
'No. Only three time's. The last time it happened I nearly jumped off a tall building. Adamsen
saved me.'
She chuckled as if this matter wasn't serious. Why did she always invalidate her feelings?
'Adamsen?? You mean Adamsen Lorenzo Mendez, the very same Adamsen you dated in grade
7.'
Mahira seemed to be lost in thought after I spoke. 'I didn't think about it. I didn't realize which Adamsen we were talking about. It didn't even cross
my mind. It's the same Adamsen. Ooh my goodness.'
Is this girl crazy? How can she forget that she once dated Adamsen.
'Mahira, I want to know everything okay, every single little detail. I want to know why your mental
health is deteriorating, why you are so skinny, why you have so many scar's, why you want
Angelo and Alexander to live with me. No sugar coated lies, no spice's, no sauce, no salt. I want
the clean truth. Should I ask questions or you'll speak.'
'I'll speak.'
'Go ahead because I'm losing my mind.'
'The past few months were very hard for me. Thane was a totally different person. I lost my
whole family, Thane lost his as well. Elena, Angelo and Alexander were kidnapped, nowhere to
be found. Things have been really drastic.'
'So much has happened but you seem to be telling me a piece of the truth. Go back to London.'
'What? I... I came here to ask for your help.'
'Then if you need my help, tell me the truth. Every single little detail.'
'I will…'
Mahira's phone rang, cutting her sentence short.
'I have to take this call.'
MAHIRA
Kaashvi is really furious and I just hope I will be able to convince her to take Angelo and Alex,
maybe even Elena if she wants to come with them. But I also know if I tell her how Thane has
been treating me, she will hate Thane with everything in her heart.
I answered the call from Adamsen.
'What the fuck Mahi? Why aren't you on your way back to London huh? I want you to come here
immediately before I lose my mind.'
'Adamsen why? You will only be back after a week, right?'
'Don't fucking mess with me bitch. After you fainted you were unconscious for five days. Hence
you are only supposed to be there for a day. Your day has ended so you should come back.'
'What's your problem? I didn't say I'll escape. I'm still discussing something important with
Kaashvi, I'll be…'
'Listen here I fulfilled my part of the deal. Your son's are here with me and their tear's are fuckin
irritating me. Before I put a bullet in their heads come here. I didn't agree to fuckin tolerate this
shit. Now that I found your son's, I need you here to fulfill your responsibility.'
'You found them? They're home?'
Adamsen hung up before I could ask more questions. He had found my son's, finally. I can't
believe it. I need to go there, I'll discuss things with Kaashvi over the phone.
'Uhm Kaashvi I need to go now. I will talk to you later. I have to go bye.'
Kaashvi pulled me back and she looked even angrier that I was leaving without explaining
myself.
'Where are you going?'
'He found my boys. He finally found them, I have to go.'
'What's going on here? You are messing with my mind right now.'
'I can't explain now, please wait for me, I will talk to you but for now I have to go.' 'I'm coming with you!'
I didn't have time to argue with Kaashvi so I just agreed. She booked two tickets to London and
we left that night. Kaashvi fell asleep in the airplane but I was way too excited to sleep. I can't
believe Adamsen got them back home.
Now I could prove my innocence to Thane and he would accept me again. Our flight landed the
next day. I am so excited to see them. Finally, I borrowed Kaashvi's card to get something for
them, a welcome gift. I know Kaahvi wanted answers but I can't explain anything until I have
them in my arms.
After buying a couple of toys, clothes and food, we went to Adamsen's villa.
If only I had known what awaited me behind those doors.
