'Bianca report!'
Thane shouted into his comms. Static responded. Thane's heart sank. He was alone. I emerged
from the smoke. Ariana.
'You're too late, Thane. Project eclipse will change everything.'
This was the best part of being a villain, pretending, lying, manipulation, this would definitely
secure my masters spot in Thane's home and Mahira, she would suffer for sins unknown to her,
it was all too easy to ruin their lives, so fuckin easy.
Thane charged, gun drawn. I vanished into the shadows. Suddenly the room shook. Equipment
crushed. Thane stumbled. The countdown timer hit zero. A blinding flash enveloped the room.
Thane shielded his eye's. When he opened them, I stood before him, a triumphant smile on my
face.
'It's done', I whispered
Thane's eyes were bloodshot red, his veins bulging, his grip on his gun tightened. It was all too
easy, it had always been easy, he was a fool back then and he's still a fool till date, that's why he
lost everything because despite being a soldier, he failed, he always failed.
A gunshot echoed through the room. Thane fell on his knees as the bullet pierced through his
arm, I laughed so much my stomach began to hurt, it was all too easy, it was just too easy. I
stood over him, he coughed trying to get back on his feet. The self-destruct sequence counted
down. Thane grabbed my arm, ensuring I wouldn't escape. The command center erupted in
flames. Thane stumbled out with me in his tight grip. He called Bianca.
Now that's the thing about trusting strangers, they can absolutely destroy you, it's so easy to
believe that a good person is evil but vice versa doesn't really work. It's all falling into place,
slowly but surely, the remaining 1000 kids from the 9000 are being sold off as we speak and
they happen to only know of the 9000 and amongst those 1000 kids is Elena, Alex and Angelo
and I have no care in the world where they'll end up.'
'Extract me.' Thane ordered, 'Ariana is with me.'
Bianca's voice remained calm, 'on its way sir.' Thane's grip on me loosened and he blacked out. Biance came with her team 'before I could
escape'. We exchanged a quick glance and I smiled after she winked at me.
Bianca took me to the headquarters and kept me in the room next to the one Thane was
admitted to slipping a phone into my hand for me to watch. When Thane opened his eyes, he
lay in a hospital bed. Mahira held his hand. Poor girl.
'Thane... you are awake. I thought I'd lose…'
Thane withdrew his hand from Mahira's and looked away with disgust.
'Thane...What's wrong? It's me… Mahi… your Mahi.'
'Stay the fuck away from me.'
Mahira looked at him confused. Poor girl, how would you know what's going on sweetie. Your
husband hates you baby girl, you can thank me later.
'Thane, you went on a mission without telling me. When Bianca told me what happened, I
thought I was going to lose you. I was so scared when you were soaked in blood. I understand,
maybe you are angry because you are in pain.'
Thane grabbed her jaw and I'm pretty sure that grip was strong and painful because Mahira was
struggling to set herself free.
'Really Mahi. You have the audacity to come back to me after everything you did.'
'What are you talking about Thane?'
'You killed my grandma and my whole family. You deceived me and made me believe that
Angelo and Alexander were my son's."
'Really? Are you questioning my character? Are we going to do this again? What kind of
accusations are these?'
'I don't want to see your fuckin face, leave!'
'Thane I…'
'Go home and run away from this country. If I fuckin find you home after I recover, I will destroy
you.'
Mahira looked at him searching for a hint of kindness but all she could see was his hatred.
That's all you'll find sweetie, hatred, disgust and so much more except love.
After Mahira left, Bianca came into the room I was being held in.
Mahira and Thane's relationship was now totally ruined. Eclipse was just a distraction so that
Thane could be convinced that Mahira was in cahoots with me.
Even if Mahira still believes that the children are alive, it would be proven otherwise to Thane.
As long as Thane keeps Mahira captive and tortures her then Mahira won't be able to look for
those children. I wouldn't have been able to do it without my master.
I had been planning this for five years and now I succeeded. Thane and Mahira had lost. My
master would get me out of prison somehow but for now, I don't mind living in prison. Mahira will
never be able to prove herself innocent. My master will live with Thane and get what she wants,
so it's a win win.
'Master, our five years long wait was worth it. It paid off, now you can be with Thane.'
'Yes Ariana, luckily no one knows that I'm the one who really helped you. I can get what I want.
You know for 5 long years I stood on the sidelines as Thane talked only about Mahira. I couldn't
bear it. If I couldn't get Thane then no one else deserved him. Now, he trusts me completely.
