Chapter 211: Clash Between Red-Haired and Garp, Whitebeard Boards the Ship
Just as Imu issued the [Universal Declaration of War],
the forces of Marine Headquarters arrived one after another in the East Blue. Pirates who hadn't fled in time found themselves surrounded by several Admiral-class warships.
"Great Eruption!"
A massive fist of molten magma, condensed and blazing hot, launched like a missile—
its target, a giant ship flying the Revolutionary Army's flag.
"Holy Light Shield!"
A radiant golden shield emerged, blocking the surging magma fist.
The collision between magma and holy light sent steam and smoke into the sky.
The magma was dispersed into ash-gray mist, shattered and dropped into the sea.
"So this is the power of the Reincarnation Game?"
Akainu's face was grim.
He had already learned aboard the warship that the Game Merchant wasn't someone to be provoked and had witnessed the terrifying power of game-based skills.
But facing it directly still felt utterly bizarre.
"Akainu, don't act impulsively."
Vice Admiral Tsuru calmly issued orders. "Focus on capturing those pirate players—don't let them escape."
Under normal circumstances,
these criminals of the sea would be either sent to Impel Down or executed on the spot—not just by Akainu, but Tsuru as well.
But things were different now.
These pirates, who had picked up Contract Fruits and become players, were now valuable resources—premium candidates for combat units.
So it wasn't just the Marines—
even the Revolutionary Army was working hard to capture pirates.
"It's Aokiji…"
The Krieg Pirates had already escaped Akainu's sight and just began to relax—
when a figure appeared ahead.
Ice chains.
A chilling wave swept over them,
and in an instant, every member of the Krieg Pirates had their wrists and ankles bound by icy shackles.
"Akainu, Aokiji, Garp, Magellan... Someone save us!"
The panicked pirates scattered in terror.
With Death Island sealed, there was no revival mechanic—if they died now, it was permanent.
"We are the Revolutionary Army, sworn against the World Government. All like-minded comrades are welcome!"
The Revolutionary Army's leader, Dragon, shouted like a thunderous roar.
Desperate pirates began rushing into the Revolutionary Army's protective zone.
Buzz.
Countless black strings shot into the sky, forming a massive dome over the sea.
With Puppetmaster-enhanced String-String Fruit powers, the threads were far stronger and more flexible than ever before.
The threads pierced the backs of pirate players' necks,
forcing them to run toward Doflamingo's pirate ship.
"Big news! Big news!"
Morgans flapped his wings excitedly, pressing the shutter button repeatedly to record this feeding frenzy.
Just then,
his camera caught two massive pirate ships entering the zone beneath the Birdcage.
"That's…"
Before Morgans could even react,
two overwhelming auras exploded, tearing the black cage apart.
Boom.
Despite being reinforced with Puppetmaster energy, the Birdcage was ripped open within seconds.
The pirate ships sailed through the breach, unshaken.
"Red-Haired... and Whitebeard!"
Morgans nearly fainted from shock.
The East Blue was already chaotic enough—and now, with two of the Four Emperors appearing, it was about to be turned upside down.
All forces fighting over the scattered players froze in unspoken agreement.
Vice Admiral Tsuru's expression turned solemn as she muttered, "They've finally arrived…"
"Damn you, Red-Haired! You still have the nerve to show yourself in front of me?!"
Garp glared at the approaching Red Force.
It was this blasted Red-Haired Pirate who had, in Garp's absence, lured his beloved grandson into becoming a pirate.
"Yo, Grandpa Garp! Still tough as ever, huh?"
Shanks greeted him with a smile, waving at the familiar faces around.
But seeing Garp's furious expression, he grew a little sheepish.
"Luffy could've become a great Marine! Instead, he was seduced by you—a damn pirate who followed Roger's bad example!"
Ignoring Tsuru's attempt to intervene,
Garp leapt high into the air. His jet-black fist, powered by peak-level physical energy and Haki, struck downward toward the Red Force.
"You reckless old man!"
Shanks' playful demeanor vanished.
He unsheathed Gryphon from his waist and faced the descending Navy hero seriously.
"Captain, something's wrong!"
Beckman, who hadn't planned to intervene, changed his expression upon sensing a strange aura.
Even Yasopp and other elite crew members tensed up.
Their Observation Haki was so advanced it bordered on clairvoyance.
What they sensed from Garp… was pure danger.
"This is bad."
Shanks, whose Observation Haki had reached the level of hearing the future,
caught a glimpse of what was to come.
He instantly altered his stance. Bending his knees, he leapt upward—
Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki flaring to their limit.
Crackling black-red lightning exploded across the sea.
BOOM!
Fist met blade.
Shanks' overwhelming Haki force triggered a tsunami hundreds of meters tall, shining like divine retribution.
And even so—
he was still sent crashing into the sea by Garp's punch.
His Haki field was ripped open, leaving jagged fractures.
Nearby pirate ships and Marine vessels were overturned by the shockwave.
Some smaller ships snapped in half and sank beneath the waves.
Crack!
Gryphon—the saber that had accompanied Shanks to the top of the pirate world, though not listed among the Meito—was shattered by Garp's iron fist.
"You damn brat… You've really made it.
From a trainee on Roger's ship… to someone who's now no weaker than Roger himself."
Garp's eyes flickered with nostalgia.
He rubbed his slightly numb knuckles but didn't press the attack. Instead, he sat cross-legged on the deck of the Red Force.
Countless guns and blades aimed at him.
"Hold it!"
Soaked from head to toe, Shanks crawled back onto the deck from the sea—
still holding the broken pieces of Gryphon.
He gave a wry smile and said, "You really didn't hold back at all, did you, old man?"
"Hmph."
Garp snorted and glared at him. "Red-Haired Pirates, what are you doing in the East Blue?"
"Believe it or not, old man…
My original plan was to resolve the East Blue conflict."
Shanks smiled again, but this time his face showed helplessness. Taking on the demeanor of a proper captain, he waved his hand. "Bring out the wine!"
Moments later, when he realized no one was moving, his face darkened. "Hey, hey, who's the captain here?"
"The Red Force almost got destroyed because of your fight with Garp!
We're not interested in fetching booze for a captain like you!"
The navigator, Snake, sneered through his sunglasses.
"You bastards!"
Shanks cursed under his breath and reluctantly opened a hatch,
pulling out two jugs of premium New World wine.
"Two jugs isn't enough…"
"You idiots nearly wrecked my Moby Dick. How are you going to repay me?"
With that voice, a massive, awe-inspiring presence approached.
Flying the Whitebeard Pirates' flag, the Moby Dick had already pulled up alongside the Red Force.
