East Blue.
Under the cover of night, Loguetown was unusually quiet.
In the office of the highest-ranking Marine officer at the Loguetown base, Xayuki rubbed his temples wearily after finishing his last call on the Den Den Mushi. Standing up decisively, he habitually called out, "Gion."
When no response came after a few seconds, Xayuki glanced around the room and noticed that only a few Seven Warlords of the Sea were present. He couldn't help but shake his head with a chuckle.
As expected, Gion's foresight was invaluable. Without her assistance, he found himself somewhat unaccustomed to handling matters alone.
Take the incessant ringing of the Den Den Mushi just now—it had been slightly overwhelming. If Gion had been there, he wouldn't have needed to deal with those calls personally.
"Report!"
At that moment, a familiar voice rang out from outside the office, loud enough to startle the Seven Warlords sprawled on the sofas awake from their slumber.
With Xayuki's permission, the office door was pushed open, and a burly figure enthusiastically ran in, standing before Xayuki and saluting loudly. "Captain Morgan, reporting to the Fleet Admiral! Loyalty and devotion!"
"It seems you have good news!"
Xayuki patted Morgan's shoulder and smiled. "Go ahead, did you capture the Black Cat Pirates?"
"Fleet Admiral, you truly have foresight!"
Morgan was visibly excited, his booming voice echoing in the room. "Following your orders, I intensified patrols around the waters near Syrup Village and indeed discovered traces of the Black Cat Pirates!"
At this point, Morgan's tone shifted. "I've always remembered your instructions from back then, so I didn't charge in recklessly. When I spotted the Black Cat Pirates' ship hidden in a secluded bay near Syrup Village, I immediately ordered a full barrage from the warship's cannons for long-range firepower coverage!"
"When we approached their ship, only two remained floating in the water—their captain, Kuro, and the hypnotist Jango, whom you specifically warned me to be cautious of!"
"I personally finished them off, just as you taught me—two shots to the chest, one to the head. No chance of survival."
After a brief pause, Morgan's eyes flashed with curiosity as he tentatively asked, "Fleet Admiral, how do you know so much about the Black Cat Pirates? Pirates of their level shouldn't even catch your attention."
"It's not that I know them," Xayuki replied with a faint smile, "but rather, when I first met you, I saw your future."
"My future?" Morgan blinked dumbly. "What kind of future did you see for me?"
Patiently, Xayuki explained, "In your future, I saw you being attacked by the Black Cat Pirates and hypnotized by Jango. This led you to mistakenly believe you had captured their captain, ultimately setting you on a misguided path."
Hearing Xayuki's serious yet fabricated explanation, the Seven Warlords lounging on the sofa couldn't help their reactions. Gecko Moria uncharacteristically showed admiration, while Dracule Mihawk, Crocodile, and Donquixote Doflamingo struggled to suppress their twitching lips.
As renowned pirates of the Grand Line, they knew that advanced Observation Haki could glimpse parts of the future. But seeing years into the future, as Xayuki claimed? That was unheard of.
Unless Xayuki was a prophet, they wouldn't believe it even if it killed them!
The truth was clear—this young Fleet Admiral, despite his composed demeanor, was a masterful trickster!
Ignoring the Seven Warlords' reactions, Xayuki changed the subject. "Captain Morgan, go and hand over your duties to your deputy. Have him take charge of the 153rd Branch. Tomorrow, you'll accompany me back to Headquarters!"
Hearing that Xayuki intended to take him to Headquarters, Morgan's eyes lit up instantly. Overjoyed, he exclaimed, "Long live the Fleet Admiral!"
Before the words had fully left his mouth, Morgan turned and dashed out of the office, his excited voice echoing down the hallway.
"Brothers, I'm heading to Headquarters with the Fleet Admiral!"
"When I make it big at Headquarters, I'll bring all of you over to live the good life! Ahahaha~"
Hearing the commotion outside, Moria grinned and let out his signature laugh, "Hehehehehehe, even this little captain is doing well now."
Just as Moria finished speaking, two figures rushed into the office. They were Ain and Binz, who had left Loguetown to assist Hepodi.
"Fleet Admiral!"
Upon entering the office, Ain and Binz straightened their backs and spoke in unison, "Mission accomplished!"
Ain then placed an iron cage she had been carrying onto the ground. Pointing to the clownish man inside, restrained by Seastone handcuffs, she said, "This is Buggy. Due to his unique Devil Fruit ability, we couldn't kill him. Instead, I reversed his age by twenty-four years and brought him back locked in this cage!"
"Buggy?"
As Ain finished speaking, Mihawk, caught off guard, widened his eyes and looked toward the cage.
Inside was none other than Buggy, captain of the Buggy Pirates and former apprentice of the Roger Pirates.
However, Buggy now appeared as a seven or eight-year-old child, his body seemingly shrunken. Wearing his oversized clown hat, he looked utterly ridiculous, evoking laughter at first glance.
Doflamingo also turned his gaze to the cage. Upon seeing the shrunken, childlike figure with an unchanged red nose, he chuckled, "Fufufufufu, the former apprentice of the Roger Pirates and wielder of the Chop-Chop Fruit, Buggy? Truly a man full of legends!"
Xayuki, too, nearly burst into laughter upon seeing Buggy locked in the cage.
It wasn't Buggy's clownish appearance and attire that amused him, but rather how harmless Buggy seemed now. It was difficult to associate this innocent-looking child with the ruthless pirate who delighted in tormenting the weak.
At that moment, Buggy, restrained in the cage, noticed the Seven Warlords seated in the office and Xayuki standing before him.
Despite the suppressive effect of the Seastone handcuffs, Buggy struggled to widen his eyes dramatically. His movements were sluggish, and even his voice was weak and breathless. "Mi... Mihawk? Crocodile? Doflamingo? What's going on here... Why are you... Why are you all in the East Blue?"
"Still have the energy to worry about others?"
Xayuki glanced down at Buggy, his voice devoid of emotion. "Binz, throw him into the sea and let him soak until tomorrow morning. You'll personally stand guard. Don't let your guard down—this man is extremely dangerous. If he escapes, the consequences will be dire!"
"If he's still alive by morning, bring him back to Headquarters for the science division to study!"
