Moments after Tate's stomach upset had been eased and he had drifted to sleep in his father's arms, Arianna's gaze slid to Collins, her voice low but edged with ice.
"Have you spoken to Dad about my request to have that wretched woman's son expelled?"
Collins exhaled slowly, a faint hesitation in his eyes before he finally said.
"Yes...Dad was very furious. He assured me that he will take necessary actions and have the boy expelled. But at the last minute, he changed his mind."
"What?!" Arianna's brow arched sharply. "Why?"
"The boy is untouchable."
"Untouchable! What do you mean?" Ariana's nostrils flared, her tone icy.
"Have you heard of the name Ray Bardin?" Collins asked.
Arianna gave a short, incredulous laugh.
"What woman in high society doesn't know that name? He is the elusive billionaire no one can find, and whom all the ladies are dying to claim. According to Pixy magazine, he is worth trillions if not more. But why are we talking about him?"
