Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE: The Hunt

On the other side, in the group of Rotimi, Amina and Bisola: Amina, a stunning woman with rich, chocolate-colored skin and an aura of quiet strength, stood out in her flowing long gown and neatly tied hair. Her sharp eyes locked onto a rabbit, and she swiftly signaled Rotimi and Bisola to freeze, her finger pressed to her lips. She gestured toward the rabbit, and Rotimi's eyes lit up. He picked up a hefty stone and crept forward, his tall, dark frame moving stealthily. After what felt like an eternity, Rotimi finally threw the stone, hitting the rabbit with precision. "Wow, this is a big one!" Bisola exclaimed as Rotimi approached, rabbit in hand. Rotimi grinned, "You can say that again. Thank God I didn't miss, or..." Before he could finish, Bisola's voice rose to a shrill scream. "See! See!" She pointed a trembling finger, her eyes wide with alarm. Rotimi and Amina spun around, but whatever she had seen was gone, leaving only an unsettling silence.

Rotimi's brow furrowed in concern as he asked, "What did you see?" Bisola's voice trembled as she replied, "Something... in the form of a human, but with an animal's head." Her eyes darted nervously around the surroundings, as if she feared it might reappear. Rotimi and Amina exchanged a skeptical glance. Amina's expression was incredulous. "That can't be true," she said, her tone firm but laced with a hint of unease. Rotimi nodded in agreement, his eyes narrowing slightly. "I think you need a break, Bisola. We've been walking for hours. Let's just head back and start setting up the tent." He gestured for the others to follow him, but Bisola's gaze lingered on the spot where she had seen the strange figure, her eyes still wide with fear.

As the sun began to set, the group gathered around the makeshift camp, the men proudly displaying their handiwork on the tent while the ladies expertly prepared the bush meat. Once everything was ready, they all sat down together to enjoy their meal and share stories. The conversation flowed easily, with lively discussions about the program they'd attended earlier, and the various encounters each subgroup had experienced – from Chichi's mysterious tree sighting to Bisola's unsettling encounter with the humanoid figure. As they ate and chatted, they also brainstormed ways to get help as soon as possible, frustrated by the lack of network connection in the remote area. "We need to find a way to send out a distress signal or something," Mike suggested, his brow furrowed in concern. The others nodded in agreement, eager to find a solution and get back to civilization.
