Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Lady Kaguya-sama: "I just asked a friend and got a quick crash course on what a 'chat group' actually is. Of course, I didn't mention anything about it being a dimensional chat group."

Lady Kaguya-sama: "I finally get the basic idea of what a chat group is… I've barely ever used the internet before. Seems I should get more familiar with it going forward."

Forever Seventeen-Year-Old Girl: "Internet… I think I've heard of that somewhere. Isn't that something only mortals use?"

Edward Newgate: "I've never even heard of such a thing."

Lady Kaguya-sama: "Makes sense. We're all from different worlds, after all."

As the group chatted more and more excitedly, something like a pop-up suddenly appeared—completely covering the chat interface of the Dimensional Chat Group.

It was a group announcement, packed with lines and lines of text.

It was posted by Haruto Kisaragi after he had finally finished studying the chat group. The purpose? To explain everything about the group all at once—its rules, features, and functions.

It had taken him a good thirty minutes to piece it all together.

Even though the group UI looked exactly like a QQ chat group (China's version of Discord or Messenger), the actual features were completely different, so Haruto had to painstakingly figure everything out.

[Group Announcement: Explaining the Features of the Dimensional Chat Group – Mandatory Reading for All Members!]

The Dimensional Chat Group connects multiple dimensions and universes, allowing beings from different worlds to communicate.

⚠️ Rules:

No fighting or arguing.

No NSFW content.

Don't mislead young members.

And absolutely no provoking the Group Admin!

① Red Envelopes: You can send "red envelopes" to specific members or the whole group. These can contain anything—money, weapons, items—delivered directly to others in the group.

② Group Admin & Moderators: The Admin (aka Group Owner) has authority to mute, kick, or manage users. Moderators assist but must be appointed by the Admin.

③ Group Files: You can upload and share videos, texts, or files for all members to view.

④ Dimensional Travel: You can spend "Group Points" to travel into another member's world—with the Admin's permission.

⑤ Group Points: You can earn 1–100 points daily by signing in. These points are used for functions like travel. Don't waste them—you'll regret it when you need them most.

⑥ Group Check-In…

⑦ Group Events…

(Note: Some features might be missing and will be added later.)— Group Admin: AwooSuperFierce

No one knew how much effort Haruto put into sorting this out—but half an hour was gone, and there were still deeper hidden features he hadn't fully uncovered.

AwooSuperFierce: "@Everyone – Please check the announcement. Everything important has been summarized there."

AwooSuperFierce: "If you didn't know what the Dimensional Chat Group is, reading this should give you a decent understanding!"

The announcement was over 300–400 words long.

And after reading, people needed time to digest it—so for the next five minutes, the group chat went completely silent.

Finally, after that quiet period, someone responded.

Edward Newgate: "So that's how it works! Gurararara! I'm over seventy, and even I'm getting a stroke of luck like this? Amazing!"

Wandering Little Planet: "A stroke of luck indeed. Just the ability to communicate across dimensions is incredible… and you can even travel between worlds using points!"

Wandering Little Planet: "If I had enough points, I could jump to another world and find a cozy star system to live in."

Lady Kaguya-sama: "I just used the 'daily check-in' feature from the announcement and earned 50 points!"

Edward Newgate: "Really? Where's that check-in thing located?"

Lady Kaguya-sama: "Hmm… Top right corner. Just click there."

Following her tip, Whitebeard looked toward the upper right of the interface, curiously clicked, and indeed, a new window opened.

Right there, he saw the words 'Daily Check-In'.

He didn't know how to write the characters… but somehow, he could still understand them.

That must be one of the chat group's strange, magical features.

Edward Newgate: "Got 38 points from checking in. Not bad at all!"

Wandering Little Planet: "Only 10 points for me. I'm trembling in disappointment…"

Forever Seventeen-Year-Old Girl: "…No words. Just look at this. [Image]"

Wandering Little Planet: "Huh? Just 1 point?!"

Forever Seventeen-Year-Old Girl: "There's definitely something wrong with this check-in system! Someone must've stolen my luck! How could I have such horrible luck?!"

Haruto saw the image Yukari had sent—a very clear screenshot of her 1-point result—and couldn't help but twitch at the corner of his mouth.

So unlucky it's absurd…

You could earn between 1–100 points from daily check-ins.

The chance of getting a single-digit number was only 9%.

To hit the lowest possible number — 1 — from that 9%… that took an absurd level of misfortune.

You could practically see the furious, despairing gap-youkai losing her mind through the screen.

Haruto also clicked on the check-in button.

After a pause, his eyes widened.

He muttered, "If I post this screenshot… will it send that centuries-old Yukari into complete meltdown?"

With a mix of hesitation and mischief, he took a screenshot anyway.

Then silently posted it in the group chat.

AwooSuperFierce: "[Image] Unexpected Surprise."

Lady Kaguya-sama: "100 POINTS?!!"

Wandering Little Planet: "W-Wow! That's god-tier luck!"

Wandering Little Planet: "Me and my measly 10 points will go back to quietly trembling."

Lady Kaguya-sama: "You're literally a planet. If you tremble, won't everything living on your surface get wiped out?"

Wandering Little Planet: "It's fine. Most life on my surface is already dead. And even if another extinction-level event happens, I'll survive just fine."

Lady Kaguya-sama: "…"

Edward Newgate: "Gurararara! As expected of the Group Owner!"

Forever Seventeen-Year-Old Girl: "…"

After seeing Haruto's screenshot, the already-devastated Yukari Yakumo fell into complete silence.

Maybe it was time to go back into hibernation.

At least then she wouldn't have to witness more heartbreak.
