Chapter 7 - The Fire Tale of Ponyta-5

Inside the black market, he concealed his identity by wearing an ANBU outfit and a toad mask. He utilised his aura to suppress his presence to such an extent that it became difficult for others to sense him, ensuring that they would simply overlook him, unaware of his existence.

Most of the black markets in Kanto were run by Team Rocket. Under Giovanni's leadership, Team Rocket had infiltrated the Pokémon League itself. The league members were unaware of the true leader of Team Rocket, nor did they realize that spies were operating right under their noses. Giovanni had numerous spies within the league who worked directly under the Elite Four and the Champion. As a result, it was technically impossible for the league to successfully make a major move against Team Rocket. In fact, many cities were governed by league members who were actually spies for Team Rocket. Viridian City served as their biggest hub, primarily because Giovanni was the gym leader there. He was rumoured to be even stronger than Champion Lance, as he had once been a competitor to Professor Oak. After Professor Oak stepped down as Champion, Lance would likely never have become Champion if Giovanni had chosen to compete. For reasons unknown, Giovanni decided against competing for the title of Champion.

Inside the black market, Amado navigated through the narrow lanes and entered a shop operated by Team Rocket. The shop met his expectations; there was a dedicated area for buying Pokémon. However, what he truly needed was there: the SSS rank ultimate spicy sauce, whose recipe had been stolen from the world's best chef. Only Team Rocket and a select few people possessed this secret recipe. The sauce was contained in a bottle only one inch long and was so potent that a single drop could spice up 1,000 litres of milk.

Additionally, there was an ultimate SSS rank poison bottle rumoured to be derived from a legendary Pokémon. If even a single drop of the poison evaporated when the bottle was open, the person nearby could face certain doom.

Of course, the prices for these items were in the trillions, and they were secured behind heavy protections. These items were typically found only in major cities like Viridian and Saffron. However, since this was a black market with no rules, Amado intended to disregard those rules. He made a hand sign, initiating a genjutsu that allowed him to steal the bottles and replace them with two stones disguised as bottles through the illusion. The genjutsu was powerful enough to last for a week, maintained by a clone of Amado meditating somewhere in the city. Once the clone's chakra ran out in a week, the bottles would turn back into stones.

The mission was a success, and Amado returned safely.

Amado made his way to a deserted park, where he performed a few hand signs.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

He summoned the stomach of a mountain toad and entered the storeroom within it. The room was full of various equipment. He took out three cauldrons, beakers, a glass rod, a pipette, a burner, and more. Then, he desummoned the toad.

He placed the three cauldrons with burners underneath them, and soon the water in each began to boil. Amado started his three experiments.

First, he took a bowl and mixed all the spicy berries he had collected with some chillies he bought from the market. Using his aura, he performed missile jabs on the mixture to create a smooth paste. The aroma was incredibly spicy, causing Amado's eyes to turn completely red as he coughed uncontrollably.

Afterwards, he put on a lab coat and a face mask to continue safely. He added the paste to the boiling water in the first cauldron, then added a microlitre of the sauce he had stolen.

"Voila!" It was ready—just perfect. He then set the cauldron aside to cool and began making pokepuffs for fire-type Pokémon using the mixture.

Amado took a bowl and poured in a small quantity of zinc, calcium, potassium, and other minerals. He mixed strawberries, raspberries, oranges, and various local berries and fruits to create a mixed fruit flavour, then gave it a few missile jabs to form a paste. He repeated the same process to make Pokepuffs for Pokémon. These Pokepuffs could be consumed by all Pokémon, but after eating them, they would need to undergo rigorous training (except for Snorlax) to achieve growth; otherwise, they would only gain weight and increase their belly size.

Next, Amado took another bowl and mixed in all the poisonous, rotten berries, giving it another missile jab. This paste was then added to a third cauldron, and a nanoliter of stolen poison was included. The same process was repeated to create Pokepuffs for poison-type Pokémon.

All the Pokepuffs Amado made were of the highest quality, worth millions, unlike the low-quality alternatives. He did not need to make Pokepuffs for grass-type Pokémon since Professor Oak was already providing those to him for free.

Amado released a sigh. Mission complete. It was already midnight. Now he was storing the Poké Puffs. Suddenly, a vine whip appeared out of nowhere, and before he could react, one of his poison Poké Puffs was stolen and eaten. The culprit was a Bulbasaur with a pink flower on her forehead. Beside her jumped her trainer, the notorious master thief, Green.

Green noticed her Bulbasaur's reaction; the Pokémon was jumping with joy, clearly loving the Poké Puff. "Well, who knew you could make such high-quality Poké Puffs? Thank you for making it!" she exclaimed

Julian replied, his expression serious, "Who said I would give it to you?"

Green acted as if her heart was broken. "How dare you betray me after I spent so much time with you?" she said, making a crying face.

Julian responded, still serious, "I don't care."

Green approached him, her soft hands brushing against Julian's muscular arm. She leaned in seductively, saying, "Just give me 50%, and I will repay you the next time we meet."

Julian smirked. "Fine, but this time I will take something extra as payment."

Green took half of the poison Poké Puffs and disappeared.

Amado sighed, thinking to himself, 'She is really sneaky.'
