"There's no time. We have to act immediately to stop Magneto and the others."

Although it was just a theory, everyone agreed that Clark's guess was likely correct. Magneto might be trying to force world leaders to see things from a mutant's perspective by turning them into mutants.

However, he might not realize that these forced mutations would be fatal due to genetic rejection. If these leaders died, it would not lead to understanding; it would ignite an all-out war between humans and mutants.

Magneto, a radical who advocates for war, would likely be prepared for such an outcome, as it would force more mutants to join his Brotherhood for survival. This would put the X-Men, who represent mutants seeking peace, in a difficult position.

The Problem of Location

"But we only know that Magneto is probably in New York," Beast pointed out. "We still don't know his exact location. How do we find them?" This was the biggest hurdle. Magneto had a reason for sending Mystique to destroy the X-Men's Cerebro machine—to make it impossible for them to be found.

Charles rubbed his forehead. "Cerebro was built with Magneto's help many years ago. Even after all these years, Beast hasn't been able to completely reverse-engineer the special technology. We can't build a new one in time without Magneto's help."

"And without Cerebro, I can't find them in a place as large as New York," Charles added. As a world-class metropolis, New York's population is immense. Without an instrument to help him, Charles couldn't pinpoint Magneto among so many people.

It wasn't that his powers couldn't cover the area; as the most powerful telepath on Earth, he could connect to the entire planet. The real limitation was his human brain. He was a genius, but his brain hadn't mutated; it was a normal human brain, and it simply couldn't process the overwhelming amount of information required to find one person in a crowd.

A New Solution

Clark frowned, realizing he had heard of a similar problem before. He remembered that in his own universe, Lex Luthor had needed his help with a similar issue. Luthor's human brain couldn't handle the massive calculations needed to predict future crises. Could a similar method work here?

"I have a way. I just need Hank to provide the materials," Clark said.

"What?" Hank was stunned. Kryptonians didn't have psychic powers.

Seeing everyone's confusion, Clark explained, "My friend once came to me with a similar problem. He needed to borrow my Kryptonian 'super-brain' to process huge amounts of data. This is a lot like Professor Charles's situation."

Hank quickly understood. "So, you have a technology that can lend your brain's processing power to the professor, allowing him to use his powerful psychic abilities without being limited by his own brain?" He realized the principle was similar to that of Cerebro, which was essentially a supercomputer that helped Charles process information.

"Exactly. I'll need your help getting the materials," Clark said.

Race Against Time

Everyone agreed. This was their only chance. Benjamin watched in awe as the X-Men provided rare materials, some of which even his company, Parker Industries, would have difficulty acquiring. He suspected these materials hadn't been obtained through legal channels.

Then, Clark demonstrated Kryptonian speed. His movements were so fast they appeared as a blur. He wasn't just fast in the air; his speed extended to his every action, and in the middle of the laboratory, a simple brain-linking device began to form at an incredible pace.

"Honestly, this is the first time I've felt so useless," Beast sighed. His greatest strength was his scientific mind, which had created all the X-Men's high-tech gear. But watching Clark work, he felt a flicker of envy.

Cyclops laughed, pointing at himself. "Hank, at least you have your intelligence. What about me? I'm just a kid with laser eyes." He knew his powers, while strong, were nothing compared to Clark's. He also believed that in a few years, his optic blasts wouldn't even be able to match Clark's heat vision. The powers of Superman in the comics were simply godlike.

Soon, the device was complete. Clark took a deep breath, wiped non-existent sweat from his brow, and announced, "Alright, everyone. It's ready."
