Sakumo who had just arrived back at konoha with his squad losing 3 in the process only 4 made it back including himself.
He directly went to the hokage's office leaving his injured squad at the hospital.
Sakumo who had arrived, stared at the hokage's door for a full 5 minutes before knocking.

Hiruzan smiled in is heart while looking shocked on the surface.
Sarutobi hiruzan: sakumo how come your back so soon!
Sakumo gritted his teeth before recounting how he was ambushed and to save his comrade that was caught and held hostage it was nothing more than a trap within trap as soon he grabbed his teammate, he had a detonation tag on him which detonated on touch and directly killed his teammate.
So without a thought he immediately grabbed an already injured squad member and chose a retreat with the remainder by is side.
Sarutobi was extremely happy after hearing this and thought of a way to defame him.
He frowned and said "sakumo you should head on home to get some rest".
Sakumo nodded then disappeared.
Sarutobi hiruzan watched sakumo heading home and sighed "I'm sorry sakumo".
Sakumo arrived home entered his residence

Sakumo frowned and thought to himself what the hell is going on, soon he arrived in the dining room looking at vergil and Dante going at each other, both had bruised faces.
Sakumo: hey! You brats stop this nonsense.
Both Dante and vergil shrank their necks back while glaring at each other.
Flashback 1hr ago...
Vergil was staring at the percentage bar just reaching 1% then he yelled c'mon!, Dante who was reading stared at his brother like he was mad man then he out right said it.
Dante: what the hell are you shouting for!
Vergil woke up from his stupor, and said to himself oh shit I actually said it out loud.
Vergil: huh 😤 what you got a problem.
Dante just stared at vergil before his body started shaking he gritted his teeth and immediately grabbed vergil said, "yeah I do".
Vergil who was pulled immediately went into a frenzy he didn't know why but he punch dante square on his nose.
Dante looked at his bloody nose then stared at vergil his body further shaking before he too punched vergil this went on for a full hour until sakumo returned.

Sakumo stared at the two before heething once "alright you two go bring kakashi I'm going to make dinner".
2 weeks later...
Sakumo who had been walking through konoha distinct while shopping for ingredients for todays dinner, heard whispers among the civilians, about how he had abandoned his mission.
He furrowed his eyebrows while thinking nothing of it then headed home.
5 days later...
Sakumo had been hearing these rumors more and more recently and felt down about it.
So he decided to head out for drink before someone knocked on his door.
He opened it and frowned staring at the two of sannin Tsunade and orochimaru who had started given him the news of his squad members that of which had committed suicide and left a note calling sakumo a traitor.
The 3 looked at each other before coming to an understanding they nodded at each other before departing.
Tsunade looked back at the house the two had just left from and she sighed then she said to orochimaru that she's leaving konoha.
Orochimaru stared at Tsunade without saying anything. They soon left for the hokage's office.
Back at sakumo's home, sakumo gritted his teeth before slumping down feeling weak and muttering why over and over he didn't stop until he heard footsteps coming down stairs.
Dante, vergil whats wrong. But before then Dante had already ran to his side and hugged him sakumo teared a little bit and accepted it.
Over the next couple of days people had heard of sakumos passing he passed away the day after two of sannins came.
Meanwhile sarutobi hiruzan was having a hard time he didn't expect sakumo to have given up over rumors. What about his kids his wife had passed after kakashi was born.
He sighed before danzo walked in.
Sarutobi! What the hell happened I go to rain village and come back hearing devastating news, you bastard what did you do?.
Sarutobi hiruzan: what, what do mean you went to rain village.
Danzo: hmph. You think I'll tell you
Sarutobi hiruzan sighed before saying what happened with the hataki family matters.
Danzo was shocked when he heard this and he felt stupid for a sec before saying to hiruzan, hiruzan just know the rain village borders will cause no trouble anymore he said before leaving.
Meanwhile at hataki residence
Dante and kakashi had started and begun to doubt life but vergil who had already known this would happen didn't get hit as much as those two, both Dante and vergil have there fifth birthday in a week and will be heading to the academy.
Vergil who had been studying annihilation maker abilities started by making rats which drained him of his energy looking like he was sucked dry then he moved to bigger animals.
