"Sir," she said into the comm, "we have a problem."
Lucien's voice filtered through. "What kind of problem?"
"There is no Elena Frost. Not in our employment records. Not in the city database. Not in any state database. Her ID checks out—but the name? It doesn't exist before three weeks ago."
Lucien's silence was deadly.
Then: "Keep digging."
Back upstairs, Aria stood still as stone.
"You're not who you say you are," Lucien said quietly.
