The world has always faced turmoil and the Second World War made this no secret. Though the Japanese pacific front of the war was arguably the least supernatural to the casual observer. The fighting in Europe was quite the opposite. Instead ancient forces had awakened including a certain species that had gone into hiding.
It's no secret that humanity has been the dominant species on earth for centuries and still is. But though there are the seemingly new races of meta humans, ghouls, Quirkies (people with quirks), and older species like mutants. There is one that is both as old as Mycenaean Greece. That is powerful race of people commonly known as Kimyos. Some believe Kimyos were a precursor to quirked people or perhaps the missing link between quirkies and mutants. However much like how quirks were confirmed to biologically different due to scientific testing a similar thing occurred with Kimyos in previous generations.
As for what are Kimyos? Kimyos are a species on Earth that is genetically superior to an average human. They possess special abilities recognized as Talents. As of now they are a solid portion of the world's population but are most commonly found in Trinidad and Tobago. But after that they could also commonly be found in Europe up until World War II where the numbers of Kimyos were greatly reduced.
The species for a long time were highly persecuted by humanity much like mutants world. However they are at heart a fundamentaly different race from both the other species. But what does make the Kimyo separate from the other two species?
Well the primary difference between a Kimyo and a Human is that a Kimyo's genetic makeup is far superior to that of humans, allowing them to possess higher physical parameters than the average human by the use of chi. Unlike most normal humans who will never unlock their chi or have such small amounts of it that its of now real consequence in the grand scheme of things. Kimyos have a rather large amount that they use. Throughout history it has been studied that the stronger the Kimyo's Chi is, the greater its physical attributes are. For centuries after the emergence of the Great Four, a Kimyo was born rare, but it is said that Kimyos from hundreds of years ago were much stronger than those born in the modern era.
According to the earliest record, the first sign of Kimyo's appearance was in ancient Greece, where four brothers were born with abilities that would eventually get labeled as the Great Four, each bestowed with a power of awe-inspiring magnitude by the creator. After their passing, a slow but steady increase in the Kimyo population started with the first birth recorded in 1542. Since then, the number of Kimyos has slowly begun to rise.
But what made Kimyos so hated feared and hunted wasn't the use of large amounts of chi. It was a combination of two defining factors. The first was appearance, much like mutants and quirkies they are sometimes born with unique forms and bodies due to their powers. The next were their own abilities and the danger that they may represent.
Kimyos possesses special abilities known as Talents, allowing them to manipulate their body or things around them in various ways, manifested using Kimyo's inner energy source, Chi. Most kimyo have something called a talent limit which can be visualized as a bubble of potential the power can achieve based on the max chi that the kimyo can handle.
Before they were considered their own race it was believed that Talents were "birth defects" formed in human babies that develop and manifest as unique supernatural abilities each Kimyo possesses. However once it was learned they were in fact separate from humans just like Quirkies, and mutants are new research was done. Although similar results were found that these powers developed at birth that are powered off of chi. But what exactly is chi in relation to Kimyos?
Chi which acts differently in humans and Kimyos is what mainly powers talents. Kimyo chi is the energy force emitted by the Kimyo race used to manifest their Talents, and is the very power source of all their inherent abilities. In some Kimyos it also has the side effect of greatly extending life spans. Immensely powerful Kimyos can sense the Chi of other Kimyos and their emotions to a certain extent, as their emotions can affect their Chi output. Also, Kimyos can even conceal their Chi to avoid detection. Even though it is tricky but strong enough Kimyo can use this technique. Sometimes in extremely large amounts kimyo chi can be felt as a physical weight on the area and beings around it's source.
As stated earlier Every Kimyo possesses a Chi Limit, a boundary of Chi that limits how strong a Talent can grow in strength and effectiveness. It is possible to push the boundary of one's Chi Limit by means unknown to the public however. But When this limit is increased, the new space allows the talent to grow stronger, or the void can be filled with brand-new, stronger talents.
The transfer of talents to other individuals is one of many things that makes a Kimyo's power as unique. This involves a process that takes place in the either realm. The ether realm is a vast unending area of pure potential which act as boundary where the chi-limit of an individual does not extend beyond. When a kimyo dies their chi spills into this realm eventually erasing all of it. Every kimyos are connected throughout this realm with their own section of the void unable to have contact with themselves like atoms.
Because of how Kimyos work there are three ways in which a human can become a Kimyo. First is basic talent transfer just after death. This occurs when an individual with enough experience and training can mentally pass their talent to a specific human. This method can only be used moments before death as it is immediately fatal. It is often done among the Top 150 to retain powerful Talents within a family bloodline. Although Kimyo of this rank are sometimes able to transfer this power back and forth while still being alive and healthy.
Kimyos can also split this talent with others. However, the talent will be reduced in power if split. And this typically doesn't require the original to fully gift even halves of a power to each person the talent is passed to. Many families have passed down their talents for generations. In some cases these talents can remain the same where in others it can even grow stronger. However in the vast majority of cases the talent's power grows far weaker as it is passed from user to user. Sometimes talents are even passed to humans which has lead them becoming Kimyos.
However sometimes a powerful talent will simply be reborn elsewhere randomly even if they don't want to pass it on. But there are talents that have been passed on for far longer than any other. The first talents to appear in the world were known as the Four Great Talents. Those talents were named Thanatos, Okeanos, Ilios, and Kataigida named for the four Adamos brothers who used them. The first men, also known as The Great Four, were born with such ancient talents and were seen as gods among men. After their appearance, Kimyos began slowly populating the world.
Talents unlike quirks, meta human abilities, or mutant powers are far more well studied and classified. Each Talent can fall into one or more of the categories. There are 17 different types of talent. First is control: Allows the user to manipulate objects or direct manifestations of their talent by infusing their chi into it. Corrode: Alter the natural decaying process by decreasing, hastening, or reversing it Creation: Form new matter from scratch by molding chi into physically manifest objects. Elemental: Control one or more of the elements identified in the periodic table. Haste: A talent that quickens the user by burning chi as fuel. Haste talents increase durability to withstand the trauma the body endures due to speed. Hide: A chi formed shell that covers the user's body, it then protects the Kimyo or adds new attributes to their arsenal. Experienced users can clad it around other things/people remotely. Kinesis: Stimulates chi to create malleable protrusions from the body. Power: Easily cause damage or destruction via explosive expression of chi manipulation. May also increase physical strength by great amounts or potentially adjust power output depending on adversary. Psychic: Move, manipulate or otherwise interact with objects/matter/living things without physical interaction. Range Control: Dominate matter/objects from a distance by manipulating chi or a chi-controlled manifestation. Range: Precision shooting that can also be done by creating various forms of trajectiles or projectile weapons. Shift: Alter the forms/structure through personal transmutation, gaining access to all or some traits of the chosen biological animalia. State: A rare power-up mode or 'state' that grants the user access to excess abilities atop the initial special one. Support: Users, often referred to as paladins, offer covering suppression or medical treatment, talents that focuses either on protective aid or restoration of health. Toxic: Contort chi in order to make it poisonous or hazardous to those who come in contact. Void: Access a dimension controlled by or linked to the user. The size of a single Kimyo void has never been fully mapped. Warp: Distort matter, space, or time to close vast distances.
But since their very origins with the great four have clashed violently. Kimyos throughout history have had violent history. Much like mutants they have been used as weapons. For example, The Battle of Waterloo in 1815 was single-handedly by the Jack Reaper Kimyo. Named after the deadly and mysterious Jack the Ripper. Unfortunately, history covered the names of the Kimyos who fought for their countries, hiding their achievements and many are still being rediscovered. This tragic relationship between humans and Kimyo eventually comes to a boiling point, resulting in them participating more and more frequently in war.
First was the 100 years war where humans were truly pitted against Kimyos for the first time. After that not many of them participated in the First World War. And finally the Second World War where the Kimyo race truly showed its fangs. This was all due to the sheer might that was displayed by the powerful Kimyo Cain.
Cain was a bearer of the Thanatos talent and led several Kimyo rebellions for 124 years but he was most known for his participation in the Second World War. Cain was born in East Germany in 1437, and he was born a Kimyo. His human parents abandoned him, calling him a monster, but he was raised by a kind Kimyo named Joycelyn Muller, who treated him like her son. One day, Muller snuck Cain out to their local town, but when he was discovered he was attacked. Muller attempted to save him, but she was tied down and executed right in front of him, causing him to lash out and kill everyone in the town, including his parents. After the bloodshed was over, Cain was introduced to followers of the original Thanatos Adamos even thousands of years after his death.
During the time of the Second World War he was rank 1 of the Top 150 Kimyo during the War. He distinguished himself amongst even other super beings on the axis forces side like Captain Nazi aka Albrecht Krieger. He did this by amassing the largest Kimyo force ever seen and quickly dominating the allied forces in Europe. Although many questioned the appointment of a Kimyo to a high military position his effectiveness as a German military leader was so great he became the leader of his own separate movement.
His cause eventually changed from German supremacy to the supremacy of all super powered beings over humanity. Due to the constant hate and discrimination that Kimyos, mutants, and received his forces only grew exponentially. He even became a serious competitor to Adolf Hitler himself as he stopped taking orders from his superiors. He cited the fact that why should someone with power akin to that of a god follow the whims of a mortal and nearly all of the German supernatural forces followed him in this.
It is also rumored that he was a leading member of at least one secret society. He was also said to have participated in several other secret organizations. Many during the time believed Cain to not only be nearly invisible but to even be the strongest Kimyo to ever live outside of the original great four. This was due to the fact that he came the closest to unlocking the original Thanatos users full power despite the talent's strength diminishing over time and its multiple users. This lead to him being named the current rank 1 of Kimyos at the time.
His rain of terror only came to an end when Cain was located at an air base in Trinidad, where the future war hero Leo Thomas current user of the great four talent Illios the phoenix flame and his mentor Jamie Altham a half British half Japanese Kimyo were doing a raiding mission. They took this opportunity to stall Cain while their entire army converged towards their locations. During the battle, Jamie sacrifices himself to save Leo, prompting Leo to fight even harder. This resulted in Leo inflicting a life-succumbing injury, which resulted in Cain's death and the end of the war. This later resulted in Leo Thomas being labeled the new rank one by the organization K.O.D.E.
Under the authority of K.O.D.E, the world's estimated 2.5 billion Kimyos are labeled and kept under surveillance, with any noteworthy talent users among the Top 150 strongest Kimyos on the planet. Among the Top 150, those labeled in the Top 10 are designated as the God-Tier, commonly known as Ten Lords, and right below them are the Royal Blood Tier, who are ranked in the top 11-20 of the Top 150 next in line to their respective Masters. It is also noted that there are Kimyos labeled by alphabetical letters such as Fharah Rhee.
At this time, the rankings are from weakest to strongest as follows: Kimyo, ranked Kimyo, Royal blood tier, God Tier which is the same as the ten lords. It also notable that the ranks sometimes don't include great four Kimyos at all although this is not always true. Their are also some others who are not ranked. Those whose powers are considered to dangerous and crime committed or not are sent off to the moving island prison Patmos by KODE as soon as they are discovered irregardless of age, gender, or any other circumstances. It is a prison of great political conflict as many of its prisoners have technically committed no crime but are simply deemed far to dangerous to be left out in the wild although the vast majority are villains. There are also some inmates who are there simply for their own good as they are an equal danger to themselves and everyone else.
K.O.D.E (Kimyo Organized Defensive Enterprise) is a globally acknowledged group of individuals led by a council known as Seven Heads tasked with protecting and placing the Kimyo Race. Much like SHIELD, KODE is a UN funded formidable organization sanctioned by the global community, is dedicated to fostering peace between Kimyo and humankind. However it is notable that KODE is not only older but a completely separate organization from the HPSC an the World Hero Association. This leads to a lot of conflict between these organizations because KODE only deals with Kimyo affairs exclusively. This distinction causes various problems when they get mixed up with other groups like mutants or quirked individuals as sometimes Kimyos are hard to distinguish from the other two due to their looks and abilities.
Specializing in conflict resolution through diplomacy, K.O.D.E is entrusted with the task of documenting and surveilling all estimated 2.5 billion Kimyos on the planet. Their mission is to ensure these individuals abide by the laws and refrain from using their unique abilities for nefarious purposes. Additionally, K.O.D.E maintains a record of the Top 150 most powerful Kimyos, deploying them on missions of major importance. The organization also oversees the Ten Lords, strategically positioned in areas of significant influence, each with specific roles and responsibilities.
K.O.D.E's global footprint is evident, with agents and members stationed in every major city. The organization's main headquarters, a hub of strategic operations, is based in Tokyo, Japan. Patmos, their high-security Kimyo prison designed for those posing a threat to world peace, is constantly moving located in close proximity to the Bermuda Triangle. K.O.D.E even operates a surveillance post on the moon, where they meticulously maintain records of every Kimyo documented since 1975. It also has several subgroups that have different responsibilities for example the KCG.
The K.C.G, also known as Kimyo Containment Garrison, is a subdivision of K.O.D.E. It is a task force that takes the responsibility of detaining and neutralizing Kimyo threats seriously. Often referred to as K.O.D.E's personal military, K.C.G is always ready to resolve conflicts through force. Whenever a dangerous Kimyo poses a threat to world peace, K.C.G is the force that steps in, either apprehending the target and sending them to Patmos. Patmos if you haven't guessed already is much like the Japanese prison Tartarus is for Quirkies. Patmos the most important prison for Kimyos and is for holding or neutralizing the threat of certain Kimyos themselves.
Much unlike many prisons the duration of their stay varies depending on the direct judgement of KODE rather than a court system. It is also to be noted that the location of Patmos is completely confidential and that only a small select few have knowledge of where it is. Much like the Raft and Tartarus it is tasked with putting away some of the world's worst criminals. It also has some of them most highly advanced security systems in the world and it currently guarded by Vadik Adelmar. Vadik is a powerful God-Tier Kimyo who is ranked 2nd among the Ten Lords. He is also in charge of the external security of Patmos and the bearer of one of the Great Four Talent, Okeanos.
The ten lords are 10 God-Tier level Kimyos employed by K.O.D.E, ranked at the top of the Top 150 Rankings from 1-10. The Ten Lords are who K.O.D.E considers the top ten strongest Kimyos, whose powers have the potential to completely reshape the continents. They work directly under K.O.D.E, taking up missions that cause them to be scattered throughout the world where they are needed most, causing them to be positioned around the globe where they are needed most.
Each Lord is assigned an assistant known as a Hand a member of the royal blood tier. Being one of the Ten Lords comes with great responsibility and authority. After the K.O.D.E's Seven Heads, the Ten Lords' orders are considered law, and they are permitted to make snap decisions regarding the safety of humanity and upholding world peace. However, the title also comes with many rules and requirements, as they are not allowed to take on a disciple; they are bound to their respective duties and forbidden to abandon their posts unless ordered differently.
When one of the Ten Lords dies, their respective Hand takes their place unless they are ranked in the top 3. The Top 3 are based solely on strength, meaning if Rank 1 dies, then Rank 2 would become the new Rank 1, Rank 3 would become the new Rank 2, and all the other Lords would move up one ranking with the 1st Hand would become the new 10 Lord. However, if a Lord ranked in 4-10 dies, their respective Hand will take their place.
The current rank one is Leo Thamos who runs a small dojo called the Red Ember Gym. He is currently training a group of students known as the Wolf Pack. They currently consist of five members the four Kimyos Azam Aziz, Louise Hemlock, Anton King, Tavin Matthias Charles. The last member is a human named Che Heart. The sun fire Kimyo has had many students in his life such as the rank 97 Kimyo Rokash Rampersad. Rokash is the user of the talent Anu Ankh "The Golden Pharaoh" a State and Corrosion type talent. Leo Thomas's connections don't only end there they include both his granddaughter Andrea Thomas the current rank 147 and Kevin Morales rank number 2.
The rank two is Kevin the brother-in-law of Leo Thomas, Kevin is ability is currently unstable and is stationed at K.O.D.E's Moon Base. He is also currently considered K.O.D.E's greatest weapon. This is because Kevin is the current welder of the great four talent Kataigida. His current hand is a man named Tao Huang who is also currently stationed at the KODE moon base.
Lastly rank three as we already know is Vadik Adelmar welder of the talent Okeanos. Although he is currently the head of external security for Patmos he sometimes leaves for important events. But when he is there, he is the one who constantly causes the island to move thanks to his talent. Okeanos gives its bearer power over the ocean. They have full kinetic control over the movement of the ocean. It is shown to be able to move islands, make giant waves and various constructs out of ocean water. It is not clear yet if this extends to all water. This talent also comes with an animal, a large murray eel, in the same way the Thanatos talent comes with the beast Siberus not to be confused with Cerberus the guardian of the underworld and pet of Hades.
Though the number of different powers and different sources are vast. It has been made clear that the Kimyo is one of the strongest. They have persisted for centuries with no end in sight.

Hey guys so I hope this chapter has properly introduced the world of the webcomic Ordeal to you all who have never read it. I considered a few other verses like god of high school but I felt like they would clash too hard with other worlds and I couldn't make them as seamless as I wanted to. Anyway next chapter will return us to the main plot but I've been having some serious writers block trying to make it so it might get delayed. Like normally I could have written 3-5 chapters in the amount of time it's taken me to make this one and it's nowhere near done or long enough for my satisfaction. Also I still haven't figured out the glitch with spacing between paragraphs and I still have to manually fix it so please forgive me if I missed one. Also I finished this chapter Friday so I'm just putting it out if that throws off the schedule sorry not sorry. Plus I've been having all these ideas for other fics lately and I really want to try one out. So if I were to do one I want to know which ones people would be most interested in so I'll list them below for you all to comment on and say which your most interested in and if you want to here more about those ideas. Also there will be an image commented by me for the logo along side them.
1 JJK's Sorcerer King
Basically it would be a fic about someone reborn as Yuta but with some wishes to buff him. Mainly that his cursed technique permanently copies a person's technique on touch and its reversal allows him to create cursed spirits that obey his commands. Lastly he would also have six eyes to go along with his other boosts so he would be majorly op. I was also considering doing a harem for this one although I'm not sure simply because of the fact I've never written romance or R18 content before and I don't know if I'm comfortable doing that. I do think I could do some really cool fight scenes and really good jokes as well. However I have the most problems with this one because I'm an anime only on JJK and I don't feel like I know enough to write a proper JJK fan fiction. [image here]
2 Star Wars the sky dragon
This was a idea I had for a fic where the Mc is Anikin but they are given the quest to become the ruler of the galaxy. I was also planning on giving him a pet krayt dragon and a Krayt dragon pearl light saber to go with it. If I did do this one the only love interest would be Padme though. Some ideas I had although not set in stone was him beating Maul and becoming the new Mandalore as well as the new Senator of Mandalor. He could also create and minipulate the rebellion from the background to take out the emperor cool stuff like that. Plus we would also have an unburnt Dartb Vader Aura Farming on people. The main issue though is that Star wars Cannon alone is so vast an full of lore I would probably mess it up. [image here]
3 Game of Thrones: The King/Emperor of Ice and Fire
The idea for this was me taking my first try at a character that was not a transmigrator or reinventing of some kind. The main MC would still be Jon but I would have Jon be a fundamentally different person. Also the world would be a bit more magical than it is in canon more mid fantasy than low fantasy. The main problems I would face though are travel distances as in how long it takes to get from one place to another and also battle strategies. Mainly because I don't know anything about mid evil battle tactics and how long a ship or a trip on horse back would take to get from on place to another. This idea also gave me like ten more ASOIAF ideas I won't list them all here but I will put a few. [Image here]
4 House of the Dragon: The Dragon King
So the MC is the reborn son of Daemon and Rhea Royce. He would have a dragon system and his own OC dragon. I also made a custom personal sigil for the character which will be included with the logo image. I I was going to go with Aegon for his name because of Daemon's dead brother Aegon and also to make sure Aegon two doesn't get arguable the coolest name in the entire Targaryen family. But then I had a bunch more ideas where the Mc would be named Aegon so I went with Aemon to diversify. Plus it still works because Aemon elder brother of Baelon would have died around the time of his birth. However there is a few problems in that does he tr to prevent the dance or just win the dance. The obvious route is to just try to kill Otto and Alicent before Emma dies preventing the dance. This has its own problems as someone would try to fill that gap an who knows who it would be. Plus less dragon fights which is kind of boring. However if he does let the dance happen all the dragons may still die which is generally stupid decision to make. Also the same travel and tactics issues apply. [Both Images Here]
5 MHA Quirk Creator
Basically an idea for an MHA harem fic I got while thinking of if I would ever try doing something like that for one of my fics. Follows an oc character whose quirk allows him to create other quirks. The downside is that a power like that without limits makes for a very quick very boring story however I was also thinking of making it AU so for example the sports festival might have different events or be longer. 6 MHA: The Star Hero
Izuku is less of a super nerd and more of a giga chad. Also a reincarnation fic but with some au added in and harem as well. Was also thinking about GOT at the time so Inko is locked in for the harem as well. My main problem would be that I now absolutely nothing about vigilantes and I haven't seen all the MHA movies. No cover ideas for this one so maybe make your own.
7 The Greatest Villian
A fic about a mutant born in Gotham with a gatcha system. No the system is not his mutant power it's something much more busted. Also another cross over verse but this time not starting out as a top tier character. Also with a villian or at least morally grey protagonist. I was thinking he would be born in Jason Todd's generation or younger.
8 Star Wars: Dark Wars
In an Alternate Universe far far away the galaxy is on the verge of war. The sith empire and the high republic are on the verge of breaking a peace which has lasted for well over a century. With the galaxy consumed with flames only the chosen one of the prophecy can save the galaxy. This would include characters from all different time periods in Star Wars and maybe even some of characters just for flair. [image here]
9 Martial Manga Mix
Had this idea a long time ago while I was really into Lookism and manhwa in general. I would mix mostly PTJ comics with Baki, kangen Asura, and Tokyo revengers. The main character would be the grandson of Yujiro. I actually had some of it typed out but I was a much worse writer back then. Also my knowledge on those series is out of date so I doubt it would go to well. [image here]
10 Doom's Domination
My Personal Favorite idea although I won't say it was entirely original. It was heavily inspired by a Dr Doom fic I was reading that hasn't uploaded in a while. So I was like fuck it I'll do it myself Thanos style. So obviously it would follow Victor in his endless conquest ahem I mean progress towards the betterment of humanity in the marvel universe or multiverse. I plan on pulling in things like tech from other series like my favorite books and some shows. Also I've been thinking about gender swapping Reed Richard's and Johnny Storm. Mainly because I think it would be funny as hell if for his entire life Victor has been gearing up for his epic confrontation with Reed Richards as his ultimate rival only him to be a girl and Victor is Just completely disheartened by it. Like it's so bad he immediately gets thrown into the depths of depression and wants nothing to do with the fantastic four anymore before finally just moving on with his life. Anyway I just think that would be funny. [Image here]
Anyway I hope you all weren't to unhappy with this little tangent I went on or rather large tangent actually. I think this might be the largest chapter I've ever written for fun. Anyway the next chapter is still being written and let me tell you it's kicking my ass even though it should be easy. Frankly it might come out later than expected just because writers block is being a pain in my ass. Also I am doing this fan fic stuff just for fun and writing practice so it's not like I owe people anything although I always feel like I'm robbing people when I don't upload it's not like I have to upload it I don't want to.
