Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Torturing Hinata (2)

With a crazed expression, Shido yanked her to her feet by her hair and threw her against the wall. As she slammed into it, he taunted, "If you can't use your arms, you can't even go to the bathroom, can you? Shall I take care of you down there? Kukuku."

He seized Hinata's legs and hoisted her upside down.

"Ugh... what are you...?" Hinata stammered, her eyes wide with fear as she hung upside down. Shido grinned sadistically. "Scared? Then I'll give you something truly terrifying next."

With that, Shido raised his right hand high and swung it down with all his might. With a sharp whoosh, his hand blade cleanly severed Hinata's right leg.

"Gyaaaaaaaahhhh!!!"

Hinata screamed in agony. Bright red blood gushed from the stump of her leg as she wept and writhed in agony. Overwhelmed by the pain, her eyes rolled back and she lost consciousness. But Shido wouldn't let her rest. This time, he grabbed her left leg with both hands and sliced it off with another hand blade strike.

"Aaaaaahhhhh!!!"

As Hinata's consciousness faded, Shido splashed water on her face, forcing her awake. He then seized her hair again, jerking her head up.

"How does it feel? Does it hurt?" Shido asked with a cruel smile, holding Hinata's severed right leg in his hand.

"Ugh..."

"Now, apologize to me. Swear your loyalty, and I might forgive you."

With that, Shido threw aside Hinata's right leg and gripped her face even harder.

"It hurts! It hurts!!"

Ignoring her screams, Shido slammed her against the wall. He grabbed her hair again, forcing her to meet his gaze.

"So, what will you do? Will you obey me?" Shido said with a smirk.

Hinata's face twisted in pain as she forced out, "...I'll never obey you!"

With a final surge of strength, she glared at Shido. But he seemed unfazed, even pleased.

"Nice! That rebellious attitude! It's thrilling!"

Shido kicked Hinata in the stomach. Without giving her a moment to recover, he yanked her up by the hair and hurled her against the wall again.

"Gah!" Hinata cried out in agony as she slammed into the wall. She collapsed limply to the floor and lay motionless. Shido watched her with a bored expression.

"...Ah, is it over already? How boring."

With that, he approached the fallen Hinata, grabbed her hair, and forced her head up.

"...Guh... Ugh..."

Hinata groaned in pain, her body covered in wounds. Both her arms were broken, and she had lost all four limbs. Yet her eyes still burned with life, glaring fiercely at Shido. Shido smirked cruelly.

"Still defiant eyes? Haven't you learned your lesson yet?"

"Even if... I die... Naruto..."

Hinata strained to utter the name of her beloved.

"Naruto-kun... he would never lose to someone like you."

Even in this gruesome situation, Hinata still believed in Naruto. A faint smile played on her lips.

"Naruto... Naruto... Naruto!! Every last one of you!! Always Naruto, Naruto, Naruto!!"

The mere mention of Naruto's name transformed Shido completely. His face twisted with fury, overflowing with hatred for Naruto.

"It's infuriating!! Every single one of you!" Shido roared, slamming Hinata's body violently against the ground. Forcing her onto her back, he then stomped on her head, pinning it to the earth.

"Ugh..." Hinata gasped in pain, but Shido ignored her, repeatedly stomping on her head.

"Naruto, a hero? Don't make me laugh! How many people do you think died because of the Nine-Tailed Beast inside him? My parents were among them! The villagers all flipped their opinions like it was nothing, chanting 'Naruto, Naruto, Naruto!' He took everything from us! And you call him a hero? What a joke! Everyone who benefits from him is trash! His friends, his parents, his lover—they're all trash!" Shido spat, pressing his foot down on Hinata's head. Despite the pain, Hinata met his gaze unflinchingly and spoke.

"What... do you know?"

"Huh?"

"What do you know about... Naruto-kun's suffering?"

Even with Shido's foot crushing her skull, Hinata glared fiercely at him.

"...What did you say?"

"Naruto-kun... he's always fighting to protect others! I won't let you call him trash!" Hinata shouted. Hearing her words, Shido momentarily fell silent, then smirked and spoke.

"Hmph, is that so?" He said, increasing the force of his foot on Hinata's head.

"Guh..." Hinata groaned in pain, but her eyes never wavered from Shido's.

"What about my suffering?! Ah?! He got to reunite with his parents! But I never got that chance! It's all because of the Nine-Tailed Beast he carries! How can someone so privileged become Hokage?!" Shido roared, spitting out his hatred.

"Well, whatever. Starting today, all my desires will come true. I'll become Hokage... no, a god, and purge all you scum from this world."

Shido removed his foot from Hinata's face, then grabbed her by the neck and slammed her against the wall.

"Gah!" A groan of pain escaped Hinata's lips.

"Kukuku... struggling? Apologize to me and swear to become my possession. Then I might spare you."

Shido said this with a sadistic grin, gradually tightening his grip on her neck.

Everyone... I... I can't hold on any longer... I'm sorry... As her consciousness faded, Hinata whispered the names of her loved ones.

"Boruto... Himawari... Naruto-kun..."

The light faded from Hinata's eyes. Shido waved his hand in front of her face, but she showed no reaction.

"Ah, she's dead. What a shame. But you're my toy now, Hinata. I won't let you go so easily."

Shido raised his hand toward Hinata. To his astonishment, her body—missing limbs, fractures, and countless small wounds—was completely restored. Once again, her eyes fluttered open.

"...Ah... what... how...?"

Hinata regained consciousness, but she seemed disoriented, unable to grasp her situation. Shido smiled at her.

"Good morning, Hinata. How are you feeling?"

Hearing Shido's voice, the terrifying memories of what had just happened flooded back, and Hinata's face paled.

"What did you do to me?! Could it be... the Impure World Reincarnation?!"

"No, no, no. Unlike the Impure World Reincarnation, this body is truly your own. Think of it as a resurrection technique, but not Ninjutsu."

"A resurrection... technique?" Hinata muttered, her mind struggling to catch up. But when she realized her limbs moved, she activated her Byakugan once more and shifted into a combat stance.

Shido burst into laughter at the sight. "Oh, come on! Still trying? You should know by now the difference in our power. You could try a million times, and you still wouldn't stand a chance against me."

Hinata gritted her teeth at Shido's mocking words, glaring at him. "Even so... I... I won't surrender to you!"

As Hinata assumed her stance, Shido shook his head with a sigh. "Fine, fine..."

Shido said this with a bored tone, instantly closing the distance between him and Hinata and tightening his grip around her neck.

"Guh..."

Even so, Hinata glared at him with fierce defiance.

"Being looked down on by those eyes really pisses me off. That's why..."

Shido suddenly thrust his right finger into Hinata's right eye.

"Let's just take those eyes of yours."

"Ah! Aaaah!! It hurts! It hurts so much!!"
