Chapter 1 - The Journey

"Not too much please.." Aurora said as she watched the counter attendant pour in more blue cocktail wine into her glass.

She smiled slightly as soon as the glass was handed to her and she began to sip slowly, patiently surveying her surroundings with her nicely shaped cat eyes that had a pair of sing covering them and a flat hat to cover her face slightly.

The bar was dangerously looking but calm as all the big Mafia lords and tycoons seemed to be having a little meeting at the large vip bar on the first floor of the building and Aurora just knew that she had to be there.

At least to get some information about what actually brought her into this mess – this journey.

She got up immediately and walked calmly into the elevator not to alert the security guards, but then it did.

"Where are you headed, young lady?" One asked immediately he sighted her moving into the elevator as it was evident that she was moving into the restricted area.

Aurora immediately pulled an act to convince the guards as her acting skills were definitely not to be underestimated.

"Ah gosh it hurts.." she screamed slightly. And pressed on her stomach like someone who was undergoing an intense pain that could send one rolling on the floor in a matter of minutes.

"I really need to go see my husband now. Ah, it hurts so much." She continued and pressed the button for the elevator to move immediately before the guards could even reply.

'Dummies.' she muttered to herself as soon as the elevator got to the first floor.

"Who are you please?" A waiter asked upon seeing her alight from the elevator.

"Your worst nightmare." She said and immediately covered the waiter's mouth with her left palm and twisted his right hand with her right hand, then she abruptly hit the waiter's back with her knee to make the waiter suffer from a serious back pain.

The waiter screamed in agony but due to her hand covering his month his screams were unheard.

She threw him to the floor and continued to walk calmly through the hallway with her sunglasses still covering her perfect eyes.

After some time, she arrived at the room where the vip bar was and scanned the area for any guards, but there were none..

She seized the opportunity and leaned slightly on the door, then she began to eavesdrop on the conversation inside the room.

Just like she guessed there was a meeting being held there and to make listening more easier for her, the music was turned off and she could hear the voices of some men – old and young.

"Don't you think the metal is so precious to be left in a safe all alone." One said. The voice sounded quite cunning and old and she wondered exactly what 'metal' he spoke of.

"What makes you think it's in a safe." Another voice said. The difference was that this one was calm but rather indifferent in tone and the way the voice came definitely made it evident that the owner must exceed a very dangerous and indifferent aura.

"I think this discussion should come to an end now." Another old voice came. "If the Blackwoods' have it, then I think it's better that way."

"But he isn't telling us if it is or not.. that's the issue here." The first old voice she heard protested again.

"That's very true, but we all know how young master Blackwood here is. So I hereby conclude that this meeting is over until another graceful day." The other old man replied.

Aurora immediately got alert and attempted to rush into a corner to hid, but unfortunately there was none and the men began to walk out one by one.

She swallowed hard as they all looked at her with disdain like an intruder that she really was.

"Whose whore is this?" She heard the young voice she had heard earlier and looked up to see a demi god in human form.

Their eyes met and for some seconds the world seemed to stop. His sharp eagle eyes and her very charming cat eyes seemed to make a bright spark in between each other.

"Ha ha, so sorry." A man in his late thirties, obviously a tycoon, walked over to her with an awkward smile and suddenly turned to her with an evil glare. "She's mine."

Aurora swallowed hard as he pulled her over to the elevator.

"What on earth did you hear, you bitch?" He pulled her aggressively into the elevator as he cursed silently.

"I will punish you dearly, ha ha.." He didn't take his hand off her giving Aurora no chance to escape, coupled with the closed doors of the elevator and his painful grip on her wrist.

She decided to remain calm and to wait for the right time.

There would also be a right time…right?

She nearly began to panic.

"I will show you that a whore like you should learn to mind her own business." He said and pushed her over to his bodyguards.

"I told you both not to let this woman off your sight, but you both failed dearly. Get her to the mansion now." He said and turned to head back into the elevator. "And don't forget to tie her legs and hands."

He turned to Aurora with a devilish smirk. "Wait for me, my dear little witch."

With her current state, Aurora knew she had to think fast unless she would be served to this selfish and shameless tycoon.

She waited until the guards took her out of the bar so she could freely take them down.

One by one she smacked them down with her fighting skills and she didn't for one day regret training with her cousin, Alden as it always came in handy for her every single time.

"Hey, get back here, you witch." The guards cursed as she took to her heels leaving their blurry sight as they laid on the ground in agony.

She rushed into the quiet street and pulled out her dagger then she hid it behind her as she approached a motorcyclist.

"Get off!" She commanded.

"What? Who are you?" The motorcyclist asked in fear as she revealed the dagger to him.

"No questions, no get off." She demanded again and pushed him off forcefully.

She got on the bike and didn't hesitate to start the engine and zoom off immediately into the busy road.

Her heart raced as the rode above the limit, but she didn't care. She was running for her dear life as she just realized that she had just gotten herself involved in something so deadly…

She just didn't understand what was so special about that piece of metal – That coin.

And why was it called the blood coin? She still didn't know and she was never told..

Was it all just a dream? Or was she just being deceived?

Everything seemed fishy but she just couldn't figure out how.

Her boss had warned her not to let any of them catch her or even spill out the name of the media company she worked for or else they would abandon her…

Why did it have to seem so unrealistic, but yet it was reality?

But no matter what, she knew that she had to go on this journey.

The journey through reality and fantasy…
