Ryuji glanced at his choices but showed no change in expression. He picked his pace up and headed towards his dorm room and coincidentally there was a convenience store in the same path. If he remembered correctly, this was the convenience store where the first scene between Horikita, Sudo and Ayanokoji was shown.
And he was right.
As he passed by the convenience store he heard the sounds of Sudo yelling while Ayanokoji was holding him back. Three senior students were in front of the two with mocking looks in their eyes.
Ryuji glanced at Horikita who watched on from within the store and then to the angry Sudo.
He didn't linger nor did he bother joining in the show, he picked his pace up once again.
After reaching his room, he began to change and put on a set of casual clothes before standing in front of a mirror. He came from a middle-class family and hence looked quite ordinary. His hair was unkempt and his face had some pigmentation. Overall, his leanness kept him relatively sharp-looking.
Ryuji took another look at himself and nodded. It wasn't bad, a few months of gym and some skincare would elevate him to the level of a model. After all, it was really hard to be ugly if you were in great shape, took good care of your skin and hair and knew how to hold conversations. If after all this someone was still ugly… only confidence could save them.
The current Ryuji was just barely above average in appearance. He was still below the ranks of Ayanokoji, Koenji and Hirata but if compared to Ike, Yamauchi and Hondo he was still better.
Once he finished setting his room up Ryuji went to indulge in some shopping and bought himself some skincare products. Retinol and niacinamide were a must. It was a pity he couldn't buy tretinoin, it being a prescription-based medicine. Retinol would take time to work. Nevertheless, working out and sweating impurities out would enhance the process. Also, Ryuji believed that upgrading his physique should clear his skin as well.
According to the System, by increasing his 'Physique' he wasn't just upgrading his strength, but agility, vitality etc as well. Intelligence too but Ryuji wasn't sure how that would work. He looked forward to it.
He wasn't one to be obsessed with looks but it proved to be very much beneficial in his motives towards women. In his past life, he couldn't even count how many married women he initially seduced or blackmailed were willing to abandon their kids and husbands just to live with him.
Good ol' times.
Once he was done shopping, Ryuji sat on the bed and spun a pen between his fingertips. This technique of rolling his pen between his fingers was a skill that helped him in his early middle-school and high-school womanising phase. Once he broke the first barrier of contact and became someone's friend it wouldn't be hard to lead them towards debauchery.
It was that first contact which was the most important.
By making the girls develop curiosity towards himself and initiate the conversation their minds wouldn't be guarded too thoroughly making it easy to slip in. Most men made the mistake of making their affection too open, while this might work in some cases it was truly a gamble.
After all, if a woman realises you're aiming for her she'll intentionally create multiple barriers and even have late-night sessions of misunderstandings cooking in their own head.
Make no mistake, pursuing a girl was totally fine and if pursued relentlessly girls might even give in and agree to date.
Keyword 'date'.
Sex would be far far off.
Ryuji couldn't be bothered to work so much for some pussy.
Too bad, most of his seduction skills were now useless.
As for why he was suddenly talking about girls and seduction?
Because there wasn't a single guy in the three options he was presented with.
This Blackmail System seemed to steer towards solely perverse activity.
It even specifically warned him that any consensual acts of sex before a successful blackmail would result in the task being failed. Also, if he had sex with a girl that wasn't in the current Blackmail List she would never appear in it in the future either.
He could have consensual sex with someone but only after successfully blackmailing them. Whether he continued to blackmail the girl, keep a relationship with her or abandon her the System didn't seem to care.
So if he was willing to sacrifice System Points; he could just ignore the System.
But let's be real… that isn't going to happen.
Ryuji looked at his choices and began pondering.
Airi Sakura is a hit or miss. If not handled well it could backfire quite easily. He pulled out a notebook and began to idly take notes, writing was one of his hobbies, it soothed his mind. From the novels, I remember she could sense malice for some reason. Instinct? Tricky. Her only potential vulnerability is her secret photography and idol background. I can secure her but it'll take time. Perhaps if I had something like invisibility I could've secretly captured her pictures and used it to blackmail her. Maybe I should steal her camera and extract the data.
He moved on to the next line and noted down a name.
Karuizawa Kei. She's the easiest target, her past makes her even more vulnerable and breakable than Airi. But if I choose her, I'll need to let her establish her status before making my move. Only after tasting the pleasure of being the queen bee of the class will she fear losing this status even more.
Ryuji's biggest mistake would be getting caught in backlash and being sent to prison. He did not know if the System would work in prison but the population of female guards was already quite scarce and besides physical strength wouldn't let him really escape prison.
His biggest concern was that the System would only work on the cast of Classroom of the Elite.
He lowered his pen once more and wrote the final name.
Kushida Kikyou
The corner of his lips curled up.
A feisty woman. She possesses vulnerability like Karuizawa but her mental fortitude is much greater than her. In fact, a single mistake and she'll send me to eternal damnation alongside her. She's the riskiest of them all. Empty threats won't work, I'll have to gather proper evidence first. Once I have enough material, coercing her using her hatred towards Horikita should work well.
Ryuji put his pen down and sighed.
I'd love to go after Kushida first, but it wouldn't be the most efficient. It's better to let her establish herself like Karuizawa, Kushida's greatest value would lie in her ability to gather everyone's secrets and weaknesses. If I grasp her at that stage I'll effectively have the class in the palm of my hand.
He circled Karuizawa's name and tore the paper to pieces before flushing it down the toilet.
For now, Karuizawa would be the safest to target.
He watched the paper swirl into nothingness, an amused smile lingering on his face.
