Year 826 In a small village at the countryside of Sind . Somebody saying " You see this is the outcome of your choices. If only you had did what I told you , then thing could have been so different". A women is going in a room of a boy she said " Hey wake up! Harman wake up ! " . The boy has have olive skin colour with brown eyes and black hair just like women standing next to him .The boy wake up and start rubbing his eyes " uhmm ahhh ! What time is it mom ? The women asked "did you had that strange dream again?" The boy answered "yes ! Same dream again". We have to talk with dr lal about that weird dream of yours his mother said. "Come down for breakfast , after cleaning your face". The boy came down and started to have dinner with his family. In the dinning table was a man around the age of 40 to 50 with brown hair, brown eyes and another man about 23 years of age with brown hair and black eyes with olive skin colour . The man asked boy "so harman , what do you want to do in your career ? The boy replied "well ,the exam results were not so great so I think may be I will become assistant of Dr lal ." Another man said "I have said to you so many times come to Ujaan , I can help you find a good college and maybe even get you a part time job !... The boy replied I will think about it . "So Guru for how long will you be staying ? " The man asked while drinking orange juice . Guru said " oh , not for not long. I will be get going tomorrow after seeing festival today . Oh and I have gotten the medicine that you have been asking for!.. it is in bag . Mother said " it would have been better if you would have brought your wife and son with you . " Guru replied " oh! mohan had to go to school because of his exams and sita also had to tutor many childrens , so they was not able to come for festival. they will visit hometown at the end of the year. They all were enjoying their meals when guru said " father I have heard a rumour from my colleagues . They say that bervis have got four new mystics this year and all of them will be able to get in top 100 by next 6 years. But our nation have only get 2 mystics this year and they are not that strong . How the situation are ascalating right now between us and bervis ,there can be war .so after the festival , all of you should leave the hometown and come to live with me in city.?"with a tense face. His father smirked and said " you don't have to worry about that think like this keep happening. I have seen things many times ,there will not be any war . Why you worry so much . You have come here for festival ,so enjoy yourself. " Guru continue eating without any questions. While Harman on other hand , gulped his food without paying attention to what his family members were saying ." " Can't you eat slowly harman " his mother asked. Chomp ..! Nom nom nom . " I am done eating. I am going to meet kartik . He got selected for aster program . So I am going to congratulate him " Harman said while washing his hands . "Do not spend much time with that lowborn , backstabbing people is in their blood" his father said with an expressionless face. "He is my best friend and people have changed now , what happened in the past is history. Harman opened the door and started to leave then suddenly his father said history often repeat itself.
At the outskirt of the mountain a small rectangular shape hut is Located with only two rooms including a bedroom and a kitchen. An old woman is cleaning the house. Harman got there and said to that woman " hey auntie how have you been , congratulations for kartik selection . So where is he right now? Women said " I am fine , how have you been . He has gone to mountain to get some woods . Harman , you are the only one who have came to congratulate us . Everyone in the village is not even happy that we even live here " she said with a sad expression .
" Don't worry aunt , with time people will understand that what happened in the past was because of bad circumstances . It was not people's mistake " A boy with red hair and yellow green eyes ,Who is almost same height as harman , came from mountain with some woods packed in a cloth on his shoulders." Hey ! Hey so here is our celebrity . I can't tell how happy I am now that you have passed the asper exam" Said harman. The two boys hug each other with a generous smile ." So how did your exam go . What you gonna do in the future? " kartik asked
"When it was pretty decent , I did not expect much to happen anyway.So maybe I will become an assistant of Mr. Lal here . since he can't handle all the patients alone . Maybe in the future if things went well , I can even open my own clinic "said Harman. "oh , really. I thought you wanted to go to some university for your higher studies " asked kartik. They both were talking while chopping woods ." Well, I just changed my mind" Harman said.
" So , you just changed your mind " kartik asked with a suspecious eye. Harman said " Yes" . " Bye , and will you be coming to the festival at dawn? " Harman asked kartik . " No , I have to prepare my luggage as I have to leave in two days and also people there won't be pleased if I were to be present there , just like last time." Kartik answered with an unpleasant face.
In the dawn everyone was gathered in the town square. The priest offer a handful of wheat to a statue of a diety. The priest said "oh our lord kalki, we offer a handful of wheat of season's first cultivation as an offering. Please,accept this and prosper our lands and save the people of our land from evil and all our people remain healthy, I request of you". After that everyone start celebrating, there were light everywhere . People were drinking and laughing, childrens were running, having fun with one another.
Harman on other hand, was laughing but he was not very happy. One of his friend whose name was Gagan asked him " so how did your exam go , I heard kartik pass the asper exam. Can't believe that the bad blood was able to get selected while my brother failed." he looked at Harman and said " you should not spend too much time with him , who knows what he will do. Harman said to him " in two days he will be leaving village, so I won't be spending much time with him and why are you saying I should not spend much time with him like he is some kind of murderer. Gagan smarkes and said " well, even though he has not killed anyone but that does not mean that he can not, maybe you had not saw his grandfather kill eight soldiers with his bare hands when he was in his late seventies. He was a big thug who said to had killed over 300 people in his prime . He was even strong enough to withstand an attack from an asper and still survives.
Harman said " yeah , yeah I know he was a big outlander in his time. But that does not mean that kartik will be like him. Gagan said we will see about that. In midnight when the moon was closest to their planet and looked like an orange giant , Harman was very dissatisfied with what people talked about his best friend so he leave the celebration and go to the mountain to sew his friend.
Knock knock " hey kartik it's me outside open the door. Kartik open the door and asked while scrubbing his eyes what are you doing here , why aren't you in the festival. Harman said " nothing, I was just getting bored. so I got here to talk with you. Should we go up the mountain cliff to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the festival. Karthik would have said no but he knew that Harman would not listen so he agreed to go to mountain cliff. They both get to the mountain cliff . They both lost the sight of time as they both were hypnotized by the beauty of their village at that night. The houses, the clock tower, and every thing in the village was shining under the moon .Harman said " you know , even if I get good marks in exam I still want to live in this village. This small village is my world. I know you want to leave the village because you hate this place , so you want to go somewhere where people will respect you . I hope wherever you go , you live happily." Karthik calmly said " even if I want to live somewhere peacefully because of my ancestors I will still be treated as a criminal. Only as an asper people will start to never look down on me . "Hey Harman , do you actually believe that the deity kalki was real and he was the first mystic in the world " Karthik asked. Harman said " I don't know , there are at the least hundred village where people celebrate the birth of kalki because they all say he was the pioneer of the new civilization and destroyer of the old civilization. That's why many people worship him and there is also a prophecy which say that when there will be evil in its peak then he will come down from sky riding sun and will burn all evil until there will be no one left in this world and then he will start a new civilization with new beings . But in some mythology he is described as an evil cosmic being who destroys everything in his way . But what does it even matter , not like the world is gonna be destroyed today! ".
They both set down under tree where they were able to see the entire town. They both started to enjoy the liquor and enjoy the beauty of their hometown. But suddenly a large asteroid struck in towns centre.
In front of his eyes Harman's entire world crumbled .As the shock wave and wind from asteroid impacted mountain they both lost their consciousness. The next morning Harman wake up , he was in the infarmary with his left leg bandaged. Beside him was Kartik . Harman asked in panic " what happened here, i .. is everything all right " . Kartik said " last night an asteroid struck in town and the army is saying that it the work of an unofficial asper from brevis. They are saying that most of the villagers are dead , but the search is still ongoing. Harman said " why does this have to happen, sob
..sob.. you were going to army and I was gonna spend my life in Village. But why.. why does this have to happen..why? ". In the next day on newspaper reporter wrote that an asteroid struck a village named rai at the countryside . Government is suspecting that it is a work of a mystic from bervis . But their foreign minister S.W ul kaif has said that none of their mystic have power to control asteroid. So they have not done it , it can be a natural incident. Further , investigation is conducted by government under the supervision of Dr Sai Dutta. The total confirmed death count is 317 while 32 injured and 55 still missing . Kartik was siting silently beside Harman when Harman asked with dead eyes " Hey ,Kartik so what do I have to do to become a mystic? "
